OBS Powerstroke Lift Pump Repair(Complete Step by Step Guide)
1994.5 to 1997 Ford F-250s, F-350s, and F-Superdutys use a mechanical lift pump in the engine valley to supply fuel to the fuel injectors. As these trucks age this pump has a diaphragm that ruptures causing a fuel leak in the engine valley. This video is a step by step walkthrough on how to replace the lift pump and make repairs to the fuel bowl. This video also shows how to remove the fuel bowl so if your drain valve is leaking this will show you how to access that as well. I hope you find this video helpful.

The Launch X431 full function scan tool is less than $600, but does it actually work, and how does it stack up against what is arguably the industry standard Snap On? This video compares the X431 to the Apollo D9 from Snap On. When an Engine Swap Is the Only Option (Ep. 3)
Wondering where you've been..... Who makes the engine in that beast???
I'm not sure, the Def fill cap says adblue so I suspect it's German in origin.
Actually that doesn't look like bunch of mess. The oil still falls nicely into the pan. Also, there were probably 40 engineers between the oil pan and the swabar all of whom have no idea of each others' existence.. 😂
I work as a lube tech and have to run oil changes on RAM 1500s all the time. Just wait till you find out where they put the oil filter.
Chrysler engineers - the hallmark of incompetence!!
I own this car now 😂
This exact one?
@@RogueWrenching the exact one yep. Bought it from a guy in Portland area
@azzybro5490 Yep, that'd be my buddy Sean, we had fun shooting this when he visited, overall seems like a really good car, it worked well for them for quite a few years. I hope it's as good to you as it was to them. Did you just stumble upon this video or did he link it?
@@RogueWrenching correct Sean! This video was in my recommended shortly after I bought it. My NSA agent was listening too closely to
It’s funny because I’m actually from the Phoenix area. Was just up here fighting wildfires and my fire department authorized me to pick a work POV and they’ll reimburse me
I bet there's a special piece to put there and prevent the mess.
Because the accountants are in charge not the engineers.
lmao its so confusing and hard to use
Agreed
People complain about this shit but if you haven’t been around a lot of new cars just say so. Most companies now how their own quirky shifter that takes some time to get used to. Kinda fucking dumb when the prndl wasn’t broke but ig everyone wanted to be different. Probably will never go back to og shifters unless the holdouts just continue to produce the models that have them.
Nah move the plug. New ones probably have it different
They just recycle technology, make it cheap and plastic, but shiny and dum dumbs think its new and better... What happens when greedy squares run things...
It's better than a fake console shifter that's literally just an electronic switch anyway. The buttons at least dont take up a chunk of the console. Mechanically linked gear selectors went out of style a while ago.
I know but I miss them.
but can it j turn properly?
Nope haha
i mean i get that humans like to force this crap on people, but i like a stick shift sorry man, i have far more control over a car with one. this is beyond stupid. it looks more like your ac control.
Good Almighty fukkin Christ
I mean yall said you wanted analog so here it is
Fair
It would have cost probably nothing to just move the drain plug to the bottom side of the pan but oh well I’m no engineer
drive stickshift
I do both my 94 acura with 317k and my 95 Ford with 357k.
@@RogueWrenching cool greatings from netherlands
@@dannyjaar Thanks for being here!
Yes
It was dumb in the 60s Corvair and it's still dumb.
It is probably getting worse with all the touch screens. I don´t like it either.
Just wait till it's a touch screen to put it into gear.
Chrysler used push button drive back in the %0's.
Dumb. I like a real shifter.
50 ?
@@RishitSrivastava007 I'm assuming haha

@@RogueWrenching I had a push button behind a 392 hemi8 and it was awesome.
Noooo
80's Town car tech revised.
Yep. Nothing new under the sun.
5.0 Ford F150 .
Way of the future
I dispise this.
@@RogueWrenchingdoes the grabby shiftie stick actually do anything? Or is it just a button in disguise
@dumle29 on this vehicle it's just buttons, some cars have a switch arm like a turn signal switch that controls it. I prefer a mechanical connection between the shifter and the transmission.
Что бы не заржавел стабилизатор 🥳
Always looks good on paper for Engineers ,architects and designers
Makes me nervous about getting a 2022 Pacifica...
Please don't.
Are they junk?
The jury is still out on that. Historically, terrains are trash cars but I like the design of this, 4 cylinder, dual overhead cam common rail turbo, it looks very European, and those guys know diesel. It's in the shop for a Def system issue.
Did you not hear it’s a GMC?
How the heck do you get those top 2 nuts back on? Think I will take the evap core out from the engine side.
Pretty easy, one is a long, straight extension, and the other either a stubby ratchet or a setup like I show in the video.
Uses a photo from 9 years ago and dosnt even give photo cred 😒
Your welcome.
How am I supposed to get a rattle gun in there to tighten the crap out of it now? Engineers are dumb!!
In all honesty, real engineers are so scarce I doubt they are consulted at the least. Things we see all around us, it's serious corruption. It's all about the money...
Fun fact, the sway bar is in that position because the suspesnsion is in full droop. Get a lift that has plattforms (The main type of lift used in car factories ) for wheels and it will be out of the way
The result of today's education system. Instead of constant improvement on what was working before, hey try new shit . Engineering is going downhill. No common sense
Buy Japanese
More like they just piece meal everything into a car just to get a product out.
Form-A-Funnel?
and the oil filter right on top of the steering rack
How about the oil filter on those hemis? It’s even worse. Makes an absolute mess every time
Let's talk about where Chrysler puts their headlights and how to access them to replace them.
Lol don't even get me started
I bet the prototype design didn't even leave enough room for the wrench to get the bolt off and the maintenance procedure was to take off the sway bar.
Rams are garbage cars
That laminar flow after the oil hits the sway bar is beautiful! I wish I had been the engine to create that!
It's how some of these car companies are doing it. Not great experience
I strongly dislike it.
@@RogueWrenching agreed. Not a great experience. Honda has buttons and others use the dial knob. I don't like it
Don't mention that on some of these models, when you loosen the oil filter, oil coats the power steering module and the pigtail connector. So much fun 😁
Dang it’s hot in here *turns on AC* transmission - 😬
Haha exactly, what happens if you push the park button at 60mph?
@@RogueWrenching It has a failsafe like most automatics. The reverse and park buttons are locked after your going roughly 4mph forwards.
@@mikeyyAC I'd hope so.
Wait till you get to the oil filter
