A little AMV about my memories through Final Fantasy XIV's main scenario quest over the past 5 years I've been playing this game. It's very rough (yes, I'm aware of the stuttering, nothing I can do about that unfortunately) and not meant to be taken entirely seriously, as I didn't have a lot of time to put it together, but I still thought it would be fun to do. I'm allowed to be cringe, just this once.
Special thanks to all my fellow Warriors of Light who appeared in this video, be they from my server, Odin, or the rest of the Light data centre. Y'all have been (mostly) wonderful this past half-decade. I'll see you in Endwalker!

I'm almost 50 and wehn i stop and think i recognize i alredy lost so many ppl: parents, love interests, some dear friends. some forever others just went their own path..
Those words hurt like a truck in every possible way.
Forge ahead.

Footfalls gives me MAJOR goosebumps every time. Such a beautiful song.
As a random thing, *thank you* for including Ysayle in the montage at the end. It's a long-standing peeve of mine that the narrative seems to call back to Haurchefant constantly as THE big loss of Heavensward and it's really nice seeing her get equal due here compared to him.
You do know in the dungeon building up to the battle with hydaelyn she saves you right? She’s right there in the forefront

@@Knuckx117 fair comment, however there are many occasions when Estinien shows his respect for her. Leaving flowers, refering to her memory etc etc. Both before and certainly after EW
YSAYLE IS THE BIGGEST LOSS OF HW
Ysale caused the deaths of countless innocents. Her sacrifice was nowhere near compensation enough. My only regret is that it wasn't me who landed the final blow on that Primal scum!

This song playing during that final fight was blissful.
To think this all started by giving us form, a name, and walking a path for adventure. To end up being a hero of two worlds, making countless friends, losing a fair to fate, felling the toughest of enemies, and still not losing ourselves in the process of it all.
And now thinking back. Makes you wonder where that Chocobo Carriage is now? The start of your grand adventure and path to shape history. Go, Warriors, best not miss that carriage.
One hell of a road we've all walked. Yet as the sun rises said road continues to stretch on. For there is ever work to be done, and we a duty to see it through.
For as memory of these grand adventure fade it okay to look and forge ahead
Aye, butbwe wouldn't be doing it if we didn't love it, true? Whether that love is for the star itself, the people upon it, or the love of the adventure itself.

This game makes me so damn emotional. When you started flashing lost friends and it got to Papalymo, I was _sobbing_ Q A Q
On the Stormblood segments, I highly appreciate the given mentions to Yotsuyu/Tsuyu
The lass deserved much sympathy after knowing how much pain she went through from her own people (mainly her parents and the asshat Asahi) and the Garleans, she was not at fault for becoming the monster that she was, she was turned into one in combined pain from both parties, she was desperate for help yet noone reached out to her until Gotsetsu did. Already knowing it was too late for her, she at least wanted vengeance for the majority of the pain wrought to her, and to her fulfillment, spilled Asahi's blood.
She deserved a kinder fate.
lmao she had an AMNESIA redemption arc. She deserves her fate and the ire of the people she inflicted pain on
The thing that always struck me about Yotsuyu is that everyone who was supposed to, by normal convention, care for her -- her parents, her brother, her husband -- abused and mistreated her. The man who had absolute justification to hate her, chose to show her kindness and compassion. And ultimately, that's what broke her.
@@ianharac5153 sadly if you recall her "parents" was actually her aunt/uncle and her aunt was really bitter about her bitch of a sister who dared get knocked up then dared to die leaving her with the baby. No mention of Yotsuyu's bio dad
Are you actually pulling the "Hitler had a harsh upbringing" argument? Dude, her past does not absolve her of her many horrific crimes. Her fate is already far too kind than it should be since so many people seem to hold her so highly, people for whatever reason think she has a redemption arc when she doesn't. The second she gets her memories back she goes back to being a psychotic murderer.
People fell in love with the character "Tsuyu", then mistake her for Yotsuyu. Tsuyu is sympathetic and undeserving of such a fate, Yotsuyu deserved much worse than she got.
@@pezdispencer113 Yeah, ahe had a chance for redemption, but she turned it down. Unlike the Butcher, she didn’t accept responsibility for her choices or try to make amends.
Lots of people have crappy lives. Not all of them decide to inflict on other innocents the pain unjustly inflicted on them. Yotsuyu had no choice in what was done to her, but had a choice in how she responded,
When you included Yotsuyu in the memorial section that’s when I screamed at how good this is
Yotsusyu's sad background does not exempt her crimes. She deserved a better upbringing, but for her cruelty, she deserved a worse end.

Seeing both of Louisoix's pupils Papalymo and Moenbryda smile just before their sacrifices just like he did still brings a tear to my eye.
Every memory I had forgotten, every little detail came rushing back to me in these past 7 minutes. All the laughs I've had all the tears I've shed all came rushing back to me like blows, one after another. This was amazingly done, but my words can not express the raw emotions I have felt in this video. Well Done.
Tbh it's been one hell of a ride to this ending. All the sadness. The happiness. The ups and downs. Thanks SE for such a Rollercoaster of a ride I am glad to be apart of
Not gonna lie, having finished Endwalker, this made me super emotional. Doesn't help that I can connect to your WoL because we share the same heckin' colourscheme and I spent some time hanging out as a catgirl before switching to a bunboy.

The journey never ends for any one of us there's always somthing new waiting for us we just have to take the chance presented and leap in eager
I look back on many of these moments with arrogant pride. Of course we stood victorious at the end of each day, We are the warrior of light, and this outcome was always inevitable.

It's been such a ride seeing this game improve by leaps and bounds compared to where it started. I'm so glad I've seen it through this long and I'm so grateful for the memories and friends this game helped me make.

I'm sorry, I remember a very different video- yet similar to this one- and I can't find it anymore. It was a fantastic AMV of this same character going through all the expansions and each 'song' in the Footfalls tracks a different expansion, a lot like this one, but it was... different. Maybe it's my memory playing tricks on me.

This was an awesome video. I liked the introduction of the video and all the call backs to those our WoLs have lost on their journey. I’m almost finished with Endwalker so here’s hoping that arc doesn’t mark the end of our WoLs’ journey and if it does I’m hoping for a happy ending.

1 Question, which is kind of Spoiler
the next big update might actually round up our Star with the identity of the Twelve and the other Places to explore along with Mercydia. After that we will probably go into the remaining Shards in which we might through some plot reason have at the end of the Main Story rejoined with our Shard of that World and the growing existential crisis of what happens when we fully rejoined with every shard
Speculation: Given that there is some buildup towards going to the 13th shard (A quest line unlocked after doing all Shadowbringer's role quests deals quite heavily with it) an obvious question springs to mind for me...what kind of Voidsent (provided they didn't escape) did our shard on the 13th become?
@@TheTriforceDragon see now that's actually a terrifying thought, the simple fact that we haven't ran into it despite having killed "the lords of the Void" as far back as Heavensward means it probably means business, assuming it exists
