Omori is the game that finally made me cry again. No I'm not a sentient robot, but my genuine emotions aren't often accessible because of my upbringing and coping mechanisms when dealing with touchy subjects. Regardless this game was amazing, even if the twitter fanbase is crazier than a coo-coo clock (very insane).

Edit: It turns out Sunny scribbled out the photos because he couldn’t handle Mari’s death. My bad. Blame Aubrey misinforming me.
Correction about 2 things: Sunny blacked out the photos and Basil was trying to kill "something" not Sunny.
During the fight with Basil, where Basil is delirious, Basil says:
"...When something pushed Mari down the stairs, when something backed out my photos... I didn't tell anyone. I didn't want them to think it was you, Sunny."
Sunny disassociates internally, but basil disassociates externally by creating an imaginary creature to blame trauma on. This is common in children, and it's merely exacerbated by basil's black & white views on how bad people can't do good things, and so Sunny can't do anything wrong since Sunny is a good person. ("You're a good person! I know you're a good person! A good person... wouldn't do something like that....")
Basil has severe abandonment and trust issues, likely stemming from being abandoned by his parents. Shown by when you interact with the mantel that has photos on it- 'Basil's parents. You have never met them.' (A paraquote, I don't remember the exact phrasing.) They left him in the care of polly, (who mentions only seeing them once or twice, it is implied they are still alive and simply left basil.) thus why she is his "caretaker". This explains much of his character, such as why he wouldn't tell anyone, since his fundamental trust in people is broken based on being abandoned. Thus why when Sunny plans on leaving and his grandma went to the hospital, he perceived that he was losing the only two people he could trust and decided to kill himself.
He blamed all of this on Something, and tried to kill it. Since Sunny was the only real thing there though, he ended up hurting Sunny. ("You're can see it too, can't you? Something... behind you." "...I'll save you again. Something behind you... I'll get rid of it, once and for all!")
Technically, Basil created the a few of games antagonists by suggesting to Sunny Somethings existence.

Basil's something is probably at least somewhat the denial of Sunny's actions. Basil seems to think he is attacking the thing that killed Mari, and he is to some extent. He probably doesn't intend to attack Sunny, just the thing he thinks pushed Mari. Of course, the person who did that was Sunny.
funny and good video, one issue, I know shipping them is a bit weird, but they are teens, and most of the audience is teens as far as im aware. For example, I am a teen, and like the game, and would like seeing two of those characters together. However the weirdos who make adult stuff I do NOT agree with.

How I think his friends would react
Kel would probably need a couple of months to himself to gather his feelings but would eventually understand Sunny made a genuine mistake and would forgive him
Aubrey would definitely be the most outraged at first but would eventually realize that she almost did the exact same thing to Basil (pushing him off the dock in a moment of impulsive rage despite knowing he can't swim) the only difference was there was someone there to save him. So she would forgive him by understanding that we do stupid stuff in the moment
Hero, I personally think he would understand the situation but never really forgive Sunny, but he would respect Kel decision to forgive and at least not be openly hostile towards him, though probably be very, very distant and would prefer not to talk to him.
Basil was the one who suggested the whole framed suicide so he would probably still be by Sunnys side taking the blame with him.
in the true ending basil smiles at sunny. he pretty much forgave him right then and there
@@schedarksunny would be the one forgiving basil not the other way around. Yeah those two are definitely friends till the end and all but in reality I imagine it’s much more complex regarding the others.
Hey, real quick...When your about to fight basil he mentions something trashing the photo's...Basil does not acknowledge or accept that something is sunny, he can' t accept sunny ever doing anything wrong...that's why something had to have done it, sunny couldn't have done it.(yes that's where the tiktok audio comes from!)
If you haven't noticed they hold each other on pedals stools, in the end they both learn how to accept that their human they make mistakes, and they stop holding each other to such high regards.
I also pushed my sister down the stairs and lemme tell you I forgave myself immediately

9:17 is slander. Sunny vandalized the photo album not basil. Basil just lies to protect him (again). This can be seen if you abandon the sunny route where upon checking the photo album if you held onto it for long enough the photos will be ruined again. Also, Basil straight up says sunny did it during their fight.
My mistake man, definitely changed my perspective on things.
I'm kinda stupid and thought Basil actually was the one who did it lol (My reasoning is just Sunny watched Basil do it I guess, but Sunny does it in hikikomori-route anyway.)

Out of the main characters (Sunny/Omori, Aubrey, Kel, Hero, Basil, and Mari) I'd personally say I like Aubrey the least, but by all means isn't a bad character that I'd hate. Aubrey actually is a pretty well written character who I don't personally dislike, if you disagree with me that's fine but there's going to be people who probably won't like that you don't like a specific character.

Omori is the game that single handedly made me cry more than any other game (I'm an overly emotional person when it comes to games I find interesting) and I sadly got spoilers because the video didn't have a spoilers warning and I'm an idiot or because I didn't even see it at first, and this resulted in me crying at happy moments because I knew what happened, omori was like a wake up call for me, it made me realize that even if people forgave me, but I couldn't forgive myself for what I did or said even if it was small or big, that I probably needed to ( also I can't see or listen to the final duet part because I can't stop myself from crying and no matter what form it is sooo 🥲👍)

If his soul intention was to just be forgiven by his friends, realistically that’s quite selfish. It’s about the intrinsic act of sunny having some damn integrity and standing up to do the right fucking thing regardless of the consequences. For a silent protagonist he has character. Great vid 👍

@@KrebbieGaming yeah I mean the vast majority of people I’ve seen discuss the the ending of omori online seem to not be able to accept nor handle the possibility that his friends would realistically feel horrified and want nothing to do with sunny. The bright side to that is that people get a happy headcanon ending to an emotional roller coaster of a story, but keeping it real, if sunny (the player insert.) had that same denial, he would still have much to learn.
