Case in point why those with limited technical abilities should not take on an big job such as this one. It's always best to do your research before doing ANY kind of vehicle mod so you don't run into the problems this guy did. There are a lot of easier ways to do many of the things seen in this video. Not criticizing your abilities, but if you took a little more time and analyzed the situations you ran into, you would have had a lot easier time with your project. A little patience goes a LONG way.
oniken2008 the video jumps around a lot, but I definitely took my time. The only thing I didn’t do any research on before messing with was the fat lip bumper. I honestly had no idea how to take it off, and it shows in this video. The shrockworks bumper was pretty easy, but there were a few things even the internet didn’t show or explain. A lot of my videos are learning experiences for me.
I have a 93 4runner, it looks like the one in your intro. Some bad rust damage and nasty carpet, really shitty to see in cars. But your vids are really sick i love seeing you building 4runners, they are true beasts.
Nevan Hopkins 3 inch lift, tires are 305/75/16, 16x12 wheels with a -44 offset and 1 inch spacers. They definitely rub a bit. They didn’t really before the spacers, but I needed them for the tundra brakes.
Manuel Simaj I only have experience with these Bilstein and toytec shocks. They make for a pretty stiff ride up until I put this bumper on that added a good bit of weight to the front. Unfortunately I don’t know much about any other brands, or even grades among the brands that I’m running now.
I've tried plenty of shocks and struts over the past 40 years. IMO Bilstein makes one of the best entry level upgrade shocks/struts for the money. Suspension mods are expensive. Once you dive in that pit it can become a twisted $ickne$$.real quick. I lust for a full King triple bypass system for my 3rd gen but so far I refuse to spend the coin it takes. Sigh
Harold Aviles thanks man. And they’re SRQ headlights. You can also build them yourself. Go to their website, and it gives you all the info needed to do the job. And I have a Bilstein, and toytec 3 inch lift
This video was hilarious. Kinda reminds of me fixing anything really. 🤣 I'm needing to do some work on my 4runner and this was inspirational. 🤣
Never lay a grinder on the floor that way. Always face it up. Machine shop 101
