Such clean build man, always wanted a 3rd Gen 4Runner. I currently have a 5th Gen 2023, but something about those 3rd Gens are just amazing!

Keep an eye on that radiator, it's about to pop any second now. The moment those Toyota plastic radiators turn that green brown color they are seconds from blowing up. Drive it hard up a grade or on hot day she will mostly likely pop.

@blackhatstudios2441 awesome 4runner! I had a radiator fail for the same reason over a period of time. Hairline crack and first sign will be overheating in the middle of nowhere. The 3rz can handle maybe 3 of these before the headgasket fails. Best to change the radiator as preventative measure or risk the HG.

2TR-FE, not a 1UZ. Love the 3rd gen, if I ever come up with the right donor I plan to swap all my parts over to a 3rd gen cab to fit the whole family. Love this thing Evan!

my 4cyl 3rd gen has a 3rz, I'm pretty sure thats the only 4cyl motor in the 3rd gens

I love my jeep xj but that old yota was amazing, I didn't build it but whoever did knew what he was doing. That thing crawled evey trail at KOH with ease.

the motor is a 3rz-fe if its 4x4 or 2rz-fe if 2x4.
Ive always told myself there's no way i would spend that kind of money on a BD light bar.. i recently bought a racecar that came with one. I get the hipe now. They are definitely worth the extra coin. 🤙

Didn’t know you had a 3rd gen Blackhat ! A cool modest build. I recently bought back my 1997 4Runner, first car. It’s my daily driver for now, but it will, of course get some good parts down the road.
Any info you can share on the land cruiser Springs? Part numbers? Lift height over stock? I’ve heard of them, they seem like a good budget flexy spring. TY !

Not sure on the lift, but they are a progressive spring so it should help offroad. Hoping that it will lift the rear a couple of inches as the OME coils have sagged over the years. Need room to fit those 35s lol -BlackHat
1uz is a V8 brotha. They're in Lexus ls400, sc400 etc. A 1uz swap would be BADASS tho. I own a 96 sc400. Its my drift car.

Not enough power to make a spool work the way it should. if I were to put a carrier in there it would be a tru-trac -BlackHat

Are you positive? 4.30 was available, but 4.10 is the most common, and I don't see any actual references to 4.56 available for 3rd gens.
@@subtegral since the post I researched it and im 100% sure now. the code on the door tag would be a A05A, 4cyl 4x4 manual only.
