I was lucky enough to be able to shake Lou's hand at the Hollywood Christmas Parade in 82. Back then I was 15 and the Hulk was my favorite TV show. Unforgetable night.
Met him at San Diego Comic Con back in 2007. I told him The Hulk used to scare the living crap out of me as a kid and he smirked and nodded. Probably not the first time a grown man has told him that! Very nice guy and I recommend his book: My Incredible Life As The Hulk.
It never got better than those two in the TV show, imo. No CGI needed to change Banner into The Hulk, either. Just paint Lou green and have him tear out of Bill's shirt.
@@whoami7721 That's actually why Marvel created She-Hulk. CBS was going to create there own female counter part for the hulk and Marvel wouldn't own any of the rights.
The stories were intelligent and made you care about the characters; even if it hadn't been the Hulk, they were good drama. It wasn't "Let's get this over and see Hulk!" Everyone was human, including Lou.
Minor nit pic. Bixby's version wasn't Bruce, he was David Banner. His alias was always David...Some name starting with a B. David Bennet....David Baker...etc.
The fact you have to preferrance this as Marvel - makes it a pure joke! All Hulk movies after the TV specials, except Norton's was NOT MARVEL - it was SONY! There is a REASON Marvel did NOT and COULD NOT do Hulk as a movie alone - no access to the rights from Sony. Ed Norton's Hulk is THE true Hulk movie - despite what all these Gen Z minions want to believe the facts are there! This is WHY Ed Norton's Hulk is a continuation and pays proper homage to the original TV show and story of Banner+Hulk! Lou evne today in 2024 is STILL a MASSIVE MONSTER (physique) - and a gentle giant (personality) that he's always been.
You honor your Father……Fantastic job. but no matter what the Incredible Hulk/true Incredible Hulk will always be a comic book character no movie, no television no nothing…..
As far as the Hulk goes, only Big Louie is the one and only true Hulk.
I agree
You got that right!!! Dead on the money!!!👍
I agree ! 💯!
Lou’s performance was terrific! Not only could he do the rage perfectly, but the gentleness he portrayed as the character calmed down.
Absolutely. He was the best Hulk ever
i bet hulk hogan can kick his ass if this was in late 1980's.
Lou was born to play the hulk no one else could 💪💚
@@Jono93421 I agree 💯
Ahnold was considered but at 6'1" was deemed too short. Ted Cassidy was considered but was way too thin (he was Lurch).
Lou was the best most realistic hulk period. The CGI is too unbelievable
CGI didn't exist yet when he did it
I met Lou once in person he was a gentle giant he was a true gentleman
It’s Lou, all day, every day. A humble soul. A gentle giant.
For sure....until it was Hulk time, then look out!!!!🫵😎lol!
@@johnmclay4422Then he was the not-so-jolly green giant.

Bixby as Banner is just as iconic

@@whoami7721 💯 I’d love to have seen him come back after death of the Incredible Hulk somehow but we lost Bill too early 😢
@@CAPTAINJOHNKREESEThere were plans to bring in The She-Hulk, too. That would've been great to see.

Lou Ferrigno absolutely.
Lou Ferrigno! Best ever!
I'm for old school Hulk

always bixby/ferrigno tv hulk series.
LOU FERRIGNO'S HULK THE ONE TRUE INCREDIBLE HULK
Lou 100% ❤
I love the Hulk ❤
I recall watching this on Friday on CBS at 7:00 pm.
Lou Ferrigno: The True Incredible Hulk
My favorite Program as a Kid 😁
Minor nit pic. Bixby's version wasn't Bruce, he was David Banner. His alias was always David...Some name starting with a B.
David Bennet....David Baker...etc.
There is only one Hulk. Every actor since played David/Bruce Banner but their hulks are computer effects. LF is my one and only Hulk! Immortal
Lou Ferrigno is the only HULK. When Edward Norton, Eric Bana, and Marc Ruffolo will say at the end of their day "good actor" Lou was the Hulk.
Bravoos och hulk hulken och aw Lillemor och Mattias Dahlberg, Mattias Karlsson.
Lou Ferrigno is my favorite Hulk
It's only when you see the original that you realise how terrible the CGI Hulks were. They just looked like what they were. Animated and false
Btw Bill Bixby was DAVID Banner not Bruce
Bruce was his middle name in the show.
@johnnybravado7141 Bruce is the character's middle name in the comics, too.
Really? It’s a debate? There is only one Hulk…Lou Ferrigno
The only human who can play the hulk, 6'5 280 lbs of muscle.
Lou ferrigno is the only hulk
EXACTLY!
Because Arnold was the terminator...if Lou had won the mr olympia..Arnold had the role of hulk and Lou had become the terminator...so simple!😂

Richard Kiel was almost the Hulk.
So was Schwarzenegger, but he was working on Conan The Barbarian movie at the time, so he was unavailable, and recommended Big Louie.

Kiel is in one scene in the Pilot...the overhead shot of the Hulk pushing the tree is RK...
CGI has become boring.
