  • Dr. Jordan Rogers continues preaching through The Book of Proverbs in this sermon from Proverbs 3:5-8 entitled, “Trusting in the Lord with All Your Heart.”
The purpose of Proverbs 3:5-8 is to call the reader honor God by trusting Him with all their heart. Solomon points us to two essential understandings which must be embraced if a person is to trust the Lord with all their heart. These understandings are drawn out by way of implication from what is written. First, a person must have a proper view of their own condition, which is that they are affected in every way by the consequences of sin, and thus one’s own understanding is not trustworthy. Second, a person must have a proper view of the nature of God, that He is perfectly wise, omnipotent, good to His people, and sovereign over all.
The following is a sermon from Proverbs 3:5-8, and below you will find the video recording and a sermon outline to help you follow along as you watch. I hope this study tool helps you grow in your love for the Lord Jesus and in your obedience to Him.
