I remember that episode, the first time I watched it, I couldn't stop laughing 😂 you have to remember, when Ab Fab appeared on TV, it was just phenomenal, in gay bars, there were Ab Fab parties, drag queens were dressed as Eddy & Pasty. This series created history on TV , it will forever remain as subversive and extremely funny 😁
I remember seeing this when it first aired, a while after we took our very drunk friend home after her 21st birthday celebrations and I swear she exited the taxi exactly like this…we still laugh about it now 😂
I have had to go to several family funerals recently. I know this sounds unholy, but I would have loved it if my relatives showed up like this. Sometimes, we just need to laugh when life gets rough...it's part of enjoying what we have left in time.
So funny this vid was recommended and I saw your comment. I watched this episode with my husband last week and he actually said the same thing. lol...said he would be watching from the other side, cracking up. My condolences for your lost, and I agree.
There was an absolutely fabulous documentary once where Joanna Lumley explained that the grave she fell into was an actual real grave that had just been dug for someone who was dead and that she had to make herself go as limp as possible when she fell in LOL!
This show just reminds me of Sunday night bubble baths and fresh pyjamas cus it used to be shown Sunday nights before school the next day. Must have been reruns.
I always remember - even as a kid - thinking Eddie's grave dive just wasn't as hilarious as Patsy. As though she basically just copied her to try and be as funny. And how she totters round and round in circles, before eventually falling in, and even then looking like she's holding on to something.. nah.
It's funny you should mention that because as Saffy, Mother, Bubble and the other mourners walk away from the grave Mother (June Whitfield) says "let's hope someone fills them in before they can escape" LOL!
What would of toped this scene of for me if Patsy had brought a bottle of plonk had a much full threw it away as she was falling into the grave. That would of been a classic but it was still great anyway....
"What's the point of grieving if there is no one there to see you do it." That is straight to the point.
I remember the first time seeing this episode, I laughed uncontrollably when Edina and Patsy fell into the graves! 😂😂😂
Me too, me too! 😅😅😅
Same here!! I mean I laughed out loud!
Can I have the house?🤣
Same here and I'm still laughing after having just watched it now!!!!
Same
These two are truly absolutely fabulous….
I love the scene where Patsy says her gravestone would say Patsy's Stone.
"With any luck they'll fill them in..." Classic comedy moment!
This is my favorite Ab Fab scene.. hilarious :)
These women are absolutely hysterical. The first time I saw this episode. I thought I would die. Very talented women both of them.
This scene is BEYOND brilliant😂😂😂😂😂😂❤
I always thought that it was funny that Pats thought that she'd actually outlive Eddie!
Though of course look at Keith Richards....

oh were they really? Haha. I was only 10ish when it released, didn't hit a gay bar til 2002
Says a lot when even Bubbles is at the funeral

It never gets old😂😂😂😂😂😂

June Whitfield still on absolutely top form here, quite stunning just how good she was for so long.
One of my favourite episodes!! Couldn't stop laughing!!
The first time I saw this, I laughed about it for days...
The greatest episode ever!
*yEAh YOu kNoW hE’D WaNt mE To bE thERE*
This is so hilarious😂!
Leave Patsy the ashtrays and Saffy gets the house?
The way Joanna Lumley so naturally falls into the grave is so perfectly done, all time classic scene
When you need a laugh... ABFAB!
This was very funny! I watched this episode yesterday too. 😂
she's very upset you know 😧

Dude when my grandmother died my aunt got so drunk she vomited on the floor and it was hilarious and made the day go by much faster
That’s my family ❤
My family did that after the funeral. Went to a lodge restaurant, ate, got drunk, and laughed our asses off! Celebrating the life of the deceased.
Your just sitting here with little wrinkles on ya face and SHES NOT HERE
I used to act like Bubble, I still do sometimes to my own astonishment
hysterical!
If we are going to die! It always cracks me up.
🥂 Patsy & Edina
Hilarious episode...the second season was the best
I think he’d want me to be there too!! 😆

I fell into my mother in law’s grave the other day and thought of this.

She wouldn't have thrown it away - she would have grabbed it with both hands to keep it safe as she went down.
