I just have to say THANK YOU ! Because i am in high school rn and a bit lost. My dad works at Disneyland Paris as an imagineer. I got so inspired by him that I really wanted to become an imagineer too . So I know what I want to do , but don’t how , don’t know what specific imagineer I want to become blah blah blah ... but now my ideas are clearer on what I really want to do , thank you again
@Clanime Art, Wow that so cooool!!! I'm studying engineering at the moment and I really would love to work as an engineer for the Disney's resorts too! 😉 Your father does a really dream job! That job that creates magic and makes it a reality for people around the world!! I'm very curious about your dad's activity and I was wondering if you could please tell me a little about his own career? How did he arrive to work for Disney? By the way, I wish you the best for all your dreams!! ✨ Take care of you and your family! Anthony
Anthony Anthony thank you so much !! Before working for Disney, he was an architect, he worked for « Bouygues Bâtiment International » , a French company. But he wasn’t well paid , he had the same salary for over 10 years. Then one day reached out to him and proposed a better paid job as an imagineer ! I wish you the best for the future, being an imagineer is such a great career. I hope you’ll be spreading magic in a few years !!
@@clarisseenjolras2240 Hey thank you so much to you to have taken the time to answer me! Yes it helped me a lot yet! You know it's hard to be able to talk with someone who knows about imagineering, it's very unknown by people in general (even by my engineering classmates ah ah) so talking with someone who knows an imagineer is very interesting ! Ah ah, I know a little bit about Bouygues company I'm French too so...^^ but yes, I'm really eager to be part of those who bring the magic in this world so, I'm trying to make it happen! And someday maybe, we would meet us at TWDC, who knows... Again, thank you for answering ! Have a magical day!! Anthony
When I was a kid I loved the Disney parks and I would bring a small tape recorder to Disneyland to record the rides. I did the same thing at Walt Disney World. I would listen to the tapes and practice all the different voices from all the rides. I became a voice actor in the 80s and in 1993 I was hired by Walt Disney Imagineering to narrate a brand new attraction coming to Walt Disney World called The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror. I preform the voice of the great Rod Serling. It has been a dream come true to be the voice of a classic Disney ride.
WOW! this is fantastic. FINALLY, someone explains it in a simple, creative way. Thank you so much, you’ve brought me one step closer to my dream career 🥰 can’t wait for more content!
This was one of the most helpful videos I’ve seen. I’m a interior designer looking for something more exciting and creative so i think you just opened a new avenue for me! Thank you so much!
Nearing the end of my college career, I have suddenly found myself thrown into the world of Disney. The joy, wonder, and excitement I feel is something I wish to creatively pass on to others in the near future. I greatly appreciated the detail you went into for this video, using examples and key words to better explain “get experience,” a phrase I am all to familiar with. I hope to get in touch with imagineers soon, get some questions answered, and to get the experience I need to put myself out there and spread the magic of Disney to future generations! Thank you so much for taking time to make this.
I'm so glad you enjoyed the video and really appreciate your comments! I'm working on some more content now that will hopefully shed even more light on the funnest industry in the world. Best of luck to you!
One huge thing I’ve used so far is Imagineering in a box. It’s made by real imagineers to explain the processes they go through when making lands, attractions, and character animatronics! It also helped me discover my dream of being a creative director for my own land one day!!!
Most helpful and reassuring information on imagineering on the internet. I’ve wanted to be an imagineer for most of my life because my mom is a massive Disney parks fanatic. I just finished my first year of architecture at LSU. I would binge watch the Imagineering Story docuseries while grinding out late night projects to keep me motivated. I leave for a trip to Disney world in 2 weeks, and I will found out if I made the cut in order to continue with my education in architecture while at the location of my future dream job. Thank you for the incredibly informative video, and keep moving forward.
Thank you for this! I'm an automation engineering major, and one of my dream industries to work in is roller coaster maintenance! Watching this video definitely helped me with my direction, thank you!
Super informative, I can definitely see the idea of categorizing different parts of an industry to be very helpful in finding a destination career. You could definitely use this formula to help someone determine what they want to do in life. I love it! loved the little final scene with the water hose, but then again, all the humor in its entirety just made it that much more fun to watch. Amazing Job!
This is so helpful! I love imagining things, making ideas solid and beautiful. -- but i'm not so good at the drawing stuff. I've also been told I should be a writer by many people so Creative Director sounds like a great fit for me!
Hmm it's nice to have a company i don't know really know how to draw .But imaging and fantasizing is fun right? You enter a whole new through your mind .if it becomes a reality hell yeah i want be an imagineer.
What a wonderful video!! I would also add that my favorite J Paul Getty quote comes to mind… “Rise early, work hard and strike oil!” It helps to be VERY lucky. For starters I would add to be the very best at one thing they happen to need at the time and also have a good working knowledge of every other field that comes in contact with your job discipline. I have been working with WDI and Disney Creative Entertainment for the last 30 years or so. It was definitely my dream and getting to work with such amazingly talented teams has been the highlight of my life. We did everything in house for so many years but since they scaled back, Garner Holt and other production companies have hired a lot of former imagineers and are contracting a lot of outside work for Disney. After wanting to be an Imagineer for so many years, I kept having to remind myself that WDI isn’t where you start out but where you end up when you rise high enough in your field. Keep working on your art or craft!!!
LOL I've been saying for years that I want to be an Imagineer and finally took the jump and signed up for a class on CGMA this term for Themed Entertainment Design. My teacher today just told me about TEA hahaha. Now I know there are so many other companies that design the rides for Disney... I was like what???? 👀
I literally tried searching for this back in high school and found nothing! I'm now in college and this would have been incredible to watch back in the day! Would have saved me so much waisted time. I just know this is gunna help so many people! Thank you!!
kinda thought this video was a joke because it has been following me all across my home page in yt, turns out this is the greatest answer to all my questions!! THANK U SO SO MUCH AAA, now i know what this industry is called, so whenever someone asks i can explain it better!
And to think that I went straight from high school and into an apprenticeship for pipefitting, maybe one day I can finish my apprenticeship and bring my skills into the industry. It gives me hope because at during my time at Galaxy's Edge I saw Pipework that I am capable of doing but instead of this being for actual use, it was just atmospheric design.
Absolutely! And I'd definitely keep in mind that plenty of non-Disney companies worked on the fabrication of Galaxy's Edge. So if you find a niche company that suits you and that works in the themed entertainment industry, you're bound to work on some pretty iconic projects!
This video is amazing. Thank you for your hard work and this explanation video. I'm a current engineering college student and all I knew was I wanted to be an imagineer but none of my professors or peers could help me understand how to get there. Hopefully once I graduate and get enough experience I can become an imagineer. I really just want to make the world smile and create things for people to enjoy!
Omg, I can´t begin to describe how much you just help me, I´m in high school at the moment totally lost about what I want to do with my future and you have just given me the opportunity to search deeper into something I had always loved. Thank you so much!!
I’m going into community college right now and for a long time I’ve been debating about what to do. I’ve mainly been deciding between pursuing a business major or a mechanical engineering major, but ultimately either way I strongly feel that I need to end up with a job that lets me be creative. The thing is, my interests are all over the place. I also love movies and fashion, but specifically, I always felt that a future I would really really love has to do with marvel studios/disney. It would just be so amazing if I could provide people with the same pure magical joy I’ve gotten myself from their projects over the years. I wasn’t sure if I’d be able to make it there to Disney solely through the film industry though and I’ve been looking for ways to combine all of my interests as well. From this thinking I discovered imagineering as it deals with so many of the things I am passionate about. I’m still struggling with finding my path but this video helped a lot to understand more about imagineering, thank you!!
Hey!! Have you decided on a major at all, and if so, what did you end up choosing? I’m on a really similar path and it would be nice to hear from another CC student.
@@durpyrainbowp8405 Hi! Yes I did decide on a major, I am doing engineering. Some lines of thinking that led me to this decision is that you can be an engineer and go into business, but you can’t really be a businessperson and go into engineering. Also I kind of enjoy mathematics and I already have some business knowledge. I think business is something that does not necessarily have to be learned in a university as well. Another thing is that I have for sure decided that I want to eventually work on theme parks. The industry as a whole is called “themed entertainment” and I am now doing everything I can to align myself with that. I don’t know anybody who is in the industry themselves and it is a pretty hard thing to discover and learn about (especially at cc) so if you are also interested in theme parks/other immersive experiences (like museums) I can tell you more. Mainly I found that I am most passionate about this path but I thought about all outcomes. So I also choose this major because if I am unable to break into the industry, I will still have a degree in engineering which is good for many other things. I really hope to do themed entertainment engineering though because to me it is the exact crossroad I was looking for with combining creativity/design, business, and of course engineering.
oh my god this is the video I needed! I want to be an imagineer and I´m currently studying software engineering, which I want to use to program all the moves of animatronics and other things that include programming and robotics at Disney! I would LOVE to do that, that´s my dream job.♥
OMG! Thank you so much for this. My daughters dream is to become and imagineer but has been trying to figure out what discipline to follow. This helps so much.
I'm starting architecture school right now and I'm so happy that I've found this video 🥺 This really made me become more centered in some future goals and I'm so thankful for it!!
I'm a Culinary major at the moment. But when I finish that, I wanna study to hopefully be a Creative director and or Art director, Sculptor etc... But to start out at Disney. I wanna be a cast member at Disneyland and hopefully be the next Ambassador
OMG, I must be honest, I'd never had thought a video like this existed if I did not find u! This was awesome! I'm currently studying animation and, sincerely, had no idea of what to do after college; I'm just sure that I love what I do, do love Disney and wanted to work there since I was only 6. This totally gonna be an option for me now, THANK YOU!
Thank you!!!!!!! I’m a middle school student who has been very interested by the imagineering industry, I have been trying to figure out what kind of colleges I should be looking at, what kind of pre-jobs I should get, and what sort of grants/scholarships I should be looking for! Thank you so much for helping me understand a bit more of what I need to be looking for.
Good afternoon! I'm in a bit stuck in terms of getting to where I want to be. I worked as a Cast Member at Disneyland since 2009 straight out of high school. I was a tour guide for a majority of the time, so talking about the Imagineers was something I was all too familiar with. I've since joined the Marine Corps, while still technically employed as a Disney Cast Member being on a Military Leave of Absence. It was through this time that I realized how much I actually want to contribute to the company that gave me so much. I want to be an Imagineer! That is the end goal. I have a Bachelor's in Music Education. My home is in California. Currently on the East Coast. I want to do the Disney Aspire program, which is offered to cast members, to get further along in education while I'm in the service to make me a more viable candidate. However, when the education coach asked me which field I was thinking about, I didn't have a clear answer. She also told me to ask an Imagineer. I'm kind of stuck between trying to aim to get a Masters in the field I'm already involved with, meaning education or music education, or getting a second bachelors in a relatable field. My role in the Marine Corps is musician as it is. I haven't been able to really find anything that a degree/experience in music education, or even education itself could be used to make myself a marketable candidate with Imagineering. The closest relatable thing I can think of would be sound design/engineer, or music composer. Even then, it would be a different area that would need a fresh start. I have another 3 years in the the Marines, so I can definitely use that to further my training when I'm not otherwise preoccupied, but I just don't want to feel like I'm wasting my time doing one thing, when doing something else could have gotten me closer to my goal. I even considered starting something entirely different, like Software Engineering, only because I saw it as an available position on the DisneyCareers website. Thank you!
Wonderful video! Currently studying MechE in college, and have wanted to be an Imagineer since I was very little. My sights are currently set on Show Design Imagineering. A TIP: There is also an awesome textbook you can get! It's called "Theme Park Design & the Art of Themed Entertainment". Forward and Afterward respectively written but the famous Tony Baxter and Joe Rohde!! That's something I wish I knew about sooner, too.
Great video!! Very well made!! You’re ranking #4 for imagineering in search! Good job! My wife and I just finished watching the imagineering series on Disney+. We’re ready to move to Orlando or Anaheim now! 🤓
Thank you so much for the information! I’m currently in high school and have a dream of becoming a Walt Disney Imagineer. This video gave me a lot of help and knowledge to expand my train of thought about the themed entertainment world. Thanks again for helping me on my journey to my dream job!
Fantastic! I give very similar advice in a deck I’ve taken to schools, but this is way more fun. I’m definitely going to bookmark this video next time! It’s great for a variety of audiences. Nice job.
Thanks for the video! Finding information on imagineering on the internet was 10x more confusing. I am a junior in high school and trying to figure out my career path, and becoming a creative director or project manager for Disney or even other big parks like Universal seems very interesting. English is my favorite subject and i have taken creative writing classes in high school but I have never been that great at art or drawing.... to become a creative director do i need to be good at art or take art classes in college?
So glad you found the video to be helpful! To become a creative director you do not need to do art (though some art directors can jump back and forth between creative and art direction). Right now in the industry, many creative directors work their way up from writing positions. If English is your favorite subject, I'd say keep going that route. Creative writing, script/screenwriting, or even dramaturgy are all great focuses. If you eventually apply for a writing or creative direction position, they'll want to see a "portfolio" of your writing so they can see your writing style, your creativity, and how effective you are at describing an experience. I think most companies will also be looking for your ability to come up with creative and entertaining experiences that are doable with a reasonable budget.
This video just randomly popped up for me to watch and I’m so glad I did! Have dreamt up being an imagineer all my life and as a high schooler I didn’t know what to do.
I love charettes, too! Thanks for making this video. I would offer that the sooner you start working in your dream field, the sooner you'll either enjoy it or learn it was actually a nightmare - which gives you time to react and pivot, with less fear of sunk cost. Also, add "freelance" or "hobby" to whatever you look up about your intended career, and you may find a way to get involved and start building experience before landing a job. Good luck, all!
Thank you sooo much. I have always wanted to know more about imagineering but it was overwelming on the internet. You really helped me figure things out. 👍🏻👍🏻
My dream has always been costume design at Disney. I'm not even in college yet but I'm doing everything I can to make this dream come true! Thank you for this video ❤️
@@brittmarkart i’m sure the quality of the video will be awesome eventhough you make some alteration ! The topics and your imagination is enough to make us dream !
As an ex-Imagineer from California, I can tell you that wherever you "land" when you get your first job at WDI....That micro position is where you'll be for the rest of your career. Choose wisely
Sure. I went in after I had been a working professional as a set designer, prop maker, cosmetic and mechanical animation repair man etc. I had a goal of being a show producer (which was the title of creative director back then). But my experience clearly didn't matter to them. They saw I had a masters of fine arts degree in theatrical set design so I was plunked down and handcuffed to a drafting table for three years. I then said to myself that enough was enough and I resigned and worked for a creative company in Hollywood as a art and design manager for three more years. After that I was hired by MCA (Universal back then) to design and "creatively direct" the Jurassic Park Ride for Universal Studios in Hollywood. When that was done I thought now was a good time to return to Disney because they could see I was a creative director and hire me as such. WRONG. This time they slammed a hard hat on me and had me supervise the field install of other people's designs. I did this for twelve years. I gave up my dreams and moved to Atlanta to study health care work so I could get out of this pigeon holed industry for good. Remember, you ARE whatever they have a hire requisition open for and if you do your job to the best of your ability that's where you'll be forever.@@AJ-gc5dg
Absolutely! Theme park attractions are becoming exponentially reliant on video to add levels of immersion to the experience, and the quality standard is raising ALL the time, so innovation of that tech is extremely important! There are a few routes to take depending on where your interest lies (ie if you prefer the tech of the displays or if you are more interested in the creation of the media that is being displayed). Keep your eyes open to companies who specialize in this field, and remember that even major theme parks like Disney will often utilize those companies (rather than do all the work in-house) because the specialized companies often produce the best work since they make sure to stay on top of the latest innovations!
Thank you for the video! I'm and architecture student and i'm really interested in set design. My dream is to become an imagineer someday, but i live and study in Brazil, so i don't know if i'll ever be able to be one 😔
You can do it! Great study and work experience can come from anywhere - doesn't have to be Disney, doesn't even have to be theme parks. Just be sure to document your work and keep a portfolio to show off your skills - you never know when that perfect job opportunity will pop up. Best of luck :)
I wish the imagineers who got their dream job can figure out how to make Rise of the Resistance actually work most of the time. It's like the riskiest ride to go on now in terms of your time since it could break down anytime. I hope they have been fixing up the ride during the pandemic while Disneyland is closed.
I'm a sophomore in high school, and I have taken broadcasting and computer science classes recently which I have loved. Which branch of imagineering do you think would appeal closest to me?
What is the imagineer career called for if you want to be the one to see if the ride works? Where u push the buttons to see if the sound and props are moving?
Great video!!! How do you think I should go about pursuing creative writing for Disney parks? I would hope to become a creative director, but have no idea to start. I have always been saying I just wanted to become a mechanical engineer, but am horrible with math and as a junior I’m struggling to figure out what to do and where to start? Any advice
When I first started learning about Imagineering, I assumed everyone was a mechanical engineer, but it's NOT TRUE haha. Definitely figure out what degree sounds FUN and then see if it will get you to where you want to be after school. If you hate your major, you're probably gonna hate your job, no matter what company you work for. If you love writing, definitely go that route! If you're in college, talk to people in the English and Theater departments to find out what specific major sounds up your alley - quite a few different programs will be applicable (the job applications for writers in the industry typically say they require "English, Script-writing, Creative Writing, or RELATED degree"). But they will also require a portfolio, so start writing now! The more you write right now, the far better off you'll be when it's time to select your best pieces for a job application. And write whatever you want - short stories, novels, plays, theme park ride narratives, children's books, etc. And here's a hint: if you start writing a bunch and realize you really really don't like writing -- you probably won't like doing it 40 hours a week. So try to find the thing that you love doing and pursue that. You will thank yourself.
@@brittmarkart Do you think doing the Disney college program is a good idea if you want to become an imagineer? Or is there an easier way to intern with an imagineer?
The hard part is I don’t know what I want to be creative director of art director I wanna think of cool ideas but I also want to use my own skills in art to help expresss my ideas eigther for something being made or a brand new idea how do u just pick one
So glad you enjoyed it! The best part of this industry (in my opinion) is the collaboration of many different disciplines and backgrounds. For any of the roles, you can research what a typical education path looks like without it specifically addressing the themed entertainment industry. For example, if you want to be a project manager, you can look up "how to become a project manager" and find many resources. The skills needed for a project manager at any production company/factory are totally transferrable to Imagineering. So if you go into project management in school, you'll be right on track! Additionally, while not at all a requirement, there are certifications you can get that look outstanding on resumes (I think you need a lot of work experience for the main "PMP" certification, but there are junior-level ones too). Depending on your level of experience, I would highly recommend getting work in the industry as a production coordinator and working your way up from there, especially if you can start while still in school. It's a great way to get your feet wet in project management!
Thank you for watching! And great question - a planner's job is to recommend how land/space (large or small) will be used and what types of things are needed to meet the needs of the project. So if you just bought a lot of land to build a theme park, a planner could suggest how the entrance and the different lands could be laid out in the best way. A lot has to be taken in consideration: what direction are most people traveling from and where should the parking be? Will there likely be an expansion done years down the road? If so, how can you plan the park now to make it easier for that expansion to take place later on? etc.
@@brittmarkart Thank you very much for answering! Now I know more about how to be an imagineer. I am from Madrid, Spain, I love disney and your video has helped me a lot to know how to get my dream proffesion, very few people make videos of this type, I hope that one day I will be an imagineer. I hope you understand me why I am learning English, and I have little language fluency. Thanks for everything.
Do ideas for themed rides come with experience or is it something you should already have before pursuing this career area? I’ve always loved writing and storytelling in general. The visual story telling of theme parks in particular has always fascinated me and is a career path I’d love to pursue. Still, I’m worried that since I haven’t really had any good ride ideas that I might not be cut out for this career path.
you could be part of the show writing division!! In themed entertainment design show writers are really cool. They're one of the most key people in conceptualizing new themed attraction ideas. Like in a film in the movie industry, every themed attraction is based on a story. Some are subtle, and some are overt. It's the show writers’ job to create a compelling story experience and collaborate with the other designers to make sure that the story is effectively communicated through the design. you don't necessarily have to think of rides per se, but more brand new stories, concepts, and characters that could potentially be turned into rides. Or if they already have a concept/theme in mind your job would be to flesh it out and make it an actual story experience. like if they said "we want to do an avengers attraction" it would be your job to revitalize that concept and create a storyline with those characters/universe for the ride to follow. They also write the pre-show which is the entertainment before the main attraction which is a way to keep guests engaged while waiting for a ride. that also usually has a storyline that contributes to the story of the main ride! you should look up some attractions with the pre-show so you can see it in action its really cool :) I didn't explain that very well but hopefully, you get the gist haha!!
Yes, I think the most aligned focus for industrial designers is prop/vehicle design. Drawing and ideation ability is important, and if you can also work in CAD (like AutoCAD) as well as modeling software (either Sketchup, Maya, Cinema3D, etc.), that should set you up well for a designer position. If you prefer the physical fabrication aspect of design rather than drafting, you could also go that route (oftentimes the designers and the fabricators are totally separate teams). There is sometimes a misconception that industrial designers only design sleek, minimal "Apple-looking" consumer products, so I would make sure your portfolio shows your skill at designing pieces that would be utilized specifically in a themed entertainment environment.
This is an amazing video thank you for sharing , i am an architect and I want to do a master degree on themed park escene design what can you recommend ?
This is a fun question! The short answer is yes, but there are a few different ways you can take that skillset. If you are more interested in applying makeup to live actors every day, you may want to look into cosmetology which is done under the umbrella of the theme parks themselves (rather than Imagineering, which can be thought of as a different company altogether). Within themed entertainment design, however, you could go the route of costume design if you were interested in expanding your skillset to create full body characters. You could also look into prop fabrication or designing audio-animatronics (you may find similarities between creating skins for robots and creating prosthetics for humans). There are also companies whose sole operation is to design and create the "fuzzy costumes" for theme park characters. So there's quite a few routes you can take! Hope this helps!

I'm am 10 but I'm already set on my job I already started my researching it I really do want to become a imagineer thank you for this video I have all A' s in class thank you again for the vid
Imagineers who design the interior of rides ... would they be set designers or interior designers ? (or are those basically the same thing in imagineering world lol)
Great question! The short answer is that a set designer designs the look of a ride. The long answer: Set designers are typically educated in designing for theatrically lit spaces, and could be tasked with designing anything from an undersea cavern wall to a miniature western town facade. An interior designer has a bit more of a specific specialty: they are who you would go to design places for humans to occupy that require things like wallpaper, light fixtures, tile, furniture, etc. while keeping spatial codes and wear-and-tear in mind (just like a non-Imagineer interior designer). They are typically educated in the history of interiors (which is especially important in creating time-specific spaces) as well as knowing where to buy (or how to make) those perfect design elements. If you design a ride that needs these elements, like say if one of the ride "scenes" takes place in a bedroom or a restaurant or something, you may want to have an interior designer involved. Hope this helps!
Hey Im 18 in college and live in London and since I was a child I've always wanted to design theme parks I've been inspired by the likes of Disney universal and SeaWorld could you please tell me where I could start networking. By the way your video was so insightful thanks
I'm so glad you found the video helpful! Going to TEA events is one of the best ways to network in this industry. They have events at least a few times a year in Europe, I would definitely try to go - if not by buying a ticket, look on the TEA website and see if there's a way to volunteer at the event (a GREAT way to meet a lot of people, make friends, and make a good first impression!).

This is truly what I wanted out of imagineering in a box
This was one of the most helpful videos I’ve seen. I’m a interior designer looking for something more exciting and creative so i think you just opened a new avenue for me! Thank you so much!
I wonder what is up with the dislikes. This has been the most useful thing I have found on this platform. Thank you for the help.
You are totally right, there was no clear answer, but now I have more direction. Thank you!
Thanks so much, I'm glad you found this helpful!! Best of luck to you!
Thanks Jonathan!
Imagineering is harder than i thought, now i know what to be in the future! I’m. Only 10 thank you so much!
You want to share that for the others?
I literally tried searching for this back in high school and found nothing! I'm now in college and this would have been incredible to watch back in the day! Would have saved me so much waisted time. I just know this is gunna help so many people! Thank you!!
Thank you! So glad you found this helpful!
I'm a sophomore in high school, what classes would you recommend to take in order to get closer to being an imagineer?
kinda thought this video was a joke because it has been following me all across my home page in yt, turns out this is the greatest answer to all my questions!!

I'm currently studying animation and, sincerely, had no idea of what to do after college; I'm just sure that I love what I do, do love Disney and wanted to work there since I was only 6.
Thank you!
Wished I had a video like that in my day, should be made for all jobs

As an ex-Imagineer from California, I can tell you that wherever you "land" when you get your first job at WDI....That micro position is where you'll be for the rest of your career. Choose wisely
May you elaborate a little more on this, please.
Great video! Do you think an education in film technology could jump over to being a theme park creative?

What is the imagineer career called for if you want to be the one to see if the ride works? Where u push the buttons to see if the sound and props are moving?
Planet Zoo is a great game to practice some concepts!

Thank you so much for this amazing video. Do you have any tips on what a path for a project manager would be like?
It's a great way to get your feet wet in project management!
hi! i love this video! thanks you!!!!
one question..¿what job did the planner?
Thank you for watching! And great question - a planner's job is to recommend how land/space (large or small) will be used and what types of things are needed to meet the needs of the project. So if you just bought a lot of land to build a theme park, a planner could suggest how the entrance and the different lands could be laid out in the best way. A lot has to be taken in consideration: what direction are most people traveling from and where should the parking be? Will there likely be an expansion done years down the road? If so, how can you plan the park now to make it easier for that expansion to take place later on? etc.
@@brittmarkart Thank you very much for answering!

@@chileanyways196 Honestly this response was super helpful and very reassuring. It helped a bunch, thank you!!
Where do Industrial designers fit in imagineering?? My guess is the design of props and vehicles ?
Thank you very much
Needed this!!
When do we get to see the new idea you had for a ride? :)
I'm hoping to upload it this month! :)
@@brittmarkart Hooray! Looking forward to it
This is an amazing video thank you for sharing , i am an architect and I want to do a master degree on themed park escene design what can you recommend ?
Are there imagineer for makeup/SFX make artist.
Hope this helps!

would industrial design be helpful or useful as a career if i want to become an imagineer?
Imagineers who design the interior of rides ... would they be set designers or interior designers ? (or are those basically the same thing in imagineering world lol)
Great question! The short answer is that a set designer designs the look of a ride.
The long answer:
Set designers are typically educated in designing for theatrically lit spaces, and could be tasked with designing anything from an undersea cavern wall to a miniature western town facade.
BrittMark yeah, that makes sense! Where do architects fit in the design of the rides interior ?
Hey Im 18 in college and live in London and since I was a child I've always wanted to design theme parks I've been inspired by the likes of Disney universal and SeaWorld could you please tell me where I could start networking. By the way your video was so insightful thanks
Is there any way I could add you on LinkedIn or get your email to ask questions . Roy Ile.
I'd love to chat, DM me on Instagram with any questions. Best of luck!
