Girl, you gotta sell that Jodie bag. It’s been in at least five different “biggest mistakes” and “worst purchase” videos that I can recall. Every time I see it coming, I groan 😂
For sure list the boots, someone eventually will want them but it will be a specific buyer...better have them sit online with the chance that someone takes them eventually then sit in your closet unused for 3 years

OMG those boots! Yikes, even the laces on them are oversized and like a cartoon. No matter how much money you get for them, it is better than it just taking up space in your closet. And it must be a lot of space!😅

Love the boots, there are a few ways to style them that I envision. They are definitely an out of the box item.
I’ve sold things knowing that I won’t get much for them bc I was in the mindset of being completely ready to let go. If they don’t work for you, and you’re ready to let go, maybe you just have to accept taking the loss.
The Gucci boots are very cute. I have never spotted them in the wild, though... maybe lots of buyers have this issue with trying to style them...

I love that Chanel bag its on my wish list but every time l have had the money in cash l could never find the bag in great condition. But when l do find the Vintage Chanel bag in great condition its always been at a time where we have been saveing for a holiday or a bill has come in .The timeing has never been right for me LOL story of my life hahanah😊❤

For me the GG Boots - I LOVE THEM.
I own them in the beige colour way and I adoooooore them. They are complicated to style, but once you figure out they are on point.

I have that scarf in a pale pink and I love it but it’s got snags and bobbles everywhere. I recently bought a Dior version in the grey and so far it seems better!
Hi Sophie, re your problem scarf: you can purchase a permanent adhesive from any hobby store that stops fraying and dries clear. One brand is Aleene's.
I get why you aren't keen on them but gosh I love those boots. If I had the money right now I'd offer to buy them, going on my wish list to keep an eye out for when I'm back off mat leave.
I have the same issue with costume jewellery, it ends up looking like cheap knock offs over time, not worth the money in the end x
For the Gucci boots ->> change the colour of the laces! Would be a bit more wearable
In my opinion, those boots look cool and are still relevant. I can see those boots worn together with wide culottes. Or a wide miniskirt, or with denim shorts, however, these two looks would be rather punk-ish.
Sophie, I have a very similar (but not as chunky) tweed boot by Tory Burch with lug sole. I style them with a micro mini skirt, tights, and slim sweater. Yours would look great with your prada puffer coat!
When you sell them, you may take a loss on what you paid, but you gain the room in your house
Plus a bit of cash for the next purchase!

I think you should sell your worst items the boots, Bottega and LV scarf and Boy bag. There will be people who would like them even with their flaws and will maybe have a lot of fun with them.😊

The Dior scarf is great. I'vr beaten mine to absolute shit, crumpled it into my handbag and it looks perfect. Just shake it out and it looks great. I think that one is absolutely worth the price tag.

I bought that Bottega bag in a limited white with green Bottega logo and it still sits on my shelf! It’s the WORST design ever!!! Mine is in a stiffer fabric than the leather so imagine getting into that one !
Definitely sell the boots! I'm with you and really dislike them but I'm sure someone will love them and anything you get for them is better than having them sat in your cupboard!

I have two Missoni scarves one is wool and the other is a lighter zigzag for all seasons. They’ve been amazing. I get a lot of compliments and they have worn so well. Highly recommend.
I have the same problem with two Loro Piano scarves -- beautiful, but so so fragile your fingernails just go through the weave no matter how careful you are, and they snag on any jewelry.
the Gucci booits before selling try changing the laces to balck ones , I think it will make a big difference .. just my opinion
I love David's purchase-that is so sweet. I sold my boy bag 3 weeks ago because of you-so happy to be done with it. I have the BV medium hobo in chocolate brown which I find much prettier than the jody and you can get it pre-loved for a fraction of the cost of the Jody (although I don't need to tell you that).

The gucci tweed boots would be better without the red strap honestly it. And if you had a jacket that matched or even a bag it would be nice. Though I worry that it might actually start to catch on things since it's a tweed material.
i got the bottega when it was a square shape instead of the circle one and it's SO MUCH BETTER and fits way more i'm glad i didn't wait for the other rounder shape
I totally get the benefit of being able to shower with your jewelry, but you may want to consider removing for cleaning as earrings especially can get a bit, for lack of better description, goopy. It also makes it impossible to clean your ears well. Just a heads up. I personally remove all of my jewelry daily, partly because I wear different things, and partly for hygiene and cleaning the jewelry.
I like the boots . They are different, not in the worst way . They might no be to everybodys style, but honestly I have seen a lot worse

I actually love the tweed boots 🫢😍 I remember liking that collection but I havent seen the boots before. I sold my bottega jodie bag my wallet fell out a few times because I would leave it open. I got a cassette mini instead.
YES I AGREE WITH THE LV SCARF. i have a baby pink one and a couple of other patters and they just look awful after wearing them a few times
Everyone that has one of those scarfs say they fray and pull SUPER easily. You’re better off w/ a $5 knock off from China town. Seriously. All the versions of LV in that scarf are famously horrid.
I do like the Gucci boots--the laces are all wrong. Change the laces and try again. That's awful about the LV scarf, what a shame.

why don't you take the Jodie back to Bottega and have them fix it. They have lifetime warranty on their leather goods now.
Have you tried waxing the zipper on the bottega? Absolutely 💯 on the lv scarf. I snagged a few working in the store refolding them. Unfortunately they are a waste of money. 😊
The Jodi is not the only bag that is problematic. I have a purse from another brand and I have the same problem. It is solely the shape, not conducive with easy access. I paid far less then you did and I am grateful that I did before I spent that kind of money.

The other thing that compresses the boybag structure is pushing the lock mechanism shut. U have to be careful to squeeze it to open and shut, otherwise it pushes in the bag at that same stress point, so it’s a double whammy… maybe they intended for it to fold flat too, eventually…??? Jk 🤷♀️ Thanks for sharing ur observations and vulnerability!
Couldn't you carefully apply something to lubricate the zipper on the Jodie bag?
And thank you for the tip on Vivienne Westwood costume jewellery, I stopped myself from getting it because I thought costume jewellery isn't durable enough to justify the price but now I'll consider it again.
For the zipper, get some graphite powder.

Have you been to a Bottega boutique and ask them if this is normal and/or if they can fix it? I’ve found oiling a zipper can be the solution but I wouldn’t just do it on a bag that costs thousands obviously. Ask!

I'll be getting out my spring and summer clothes soon, I hope, and start packing away the heavy winter stuff. When I do that, twice a year, I go over everything and decide whether to keep, toss, or donate. Where do you sell your things now? I used to buy and sell on Ebay but I don't anymore. I had a similar pair of Gucci boots but in white that i bought from Gucci paris outlet and sold them on VC for a profit! They sold for over £600! so just list them
Honestly maybe just give the boots/etc away. It's really easy to get caught up in "how much money can I get back out of this," but I've actually been giving some stuff away recently because it just doesn't work in my new apartment, and it's been so much easier on me mentally to just give it away instead of worrying about how much I can sell it for. The money is long gone, is how I see it.
