For me, I usually purchase the replica designer bags from *suluxy bag* . The quality is amazing!
Everything on the kitchen should come from "legacy" brands. It means they've been around for so long, even your mother and grandmother will remember the brand. They're not always super expensive either.
The bag from Japan, it's true it's frustrating to spend more than you could have spent, but if you like the bag you should use it and that feeling will subside. Take the tags off and use it, if you really like it, then this shouldn't be such a big deal. Life is too short for that kind of thought.

I don’t know if you just misspoke, but don’t put your nonstick in the dishwasher! They will last much longer if you just hand wash. I’m in favor of spending more on a good nonstick, but they’re never going to last forever. You do need to replace them when the coating starts to flake. Handwashing will mean that you can keep the pan alive a bit longer.

Non stick pans are a total no no cos they are toxic when the costing is off. Cast iron pans are the way to go. Le Creuset is one of them since 1925.
It looks like the enamel on the ring wasn't dried properly or it was enameled while the surface was either wet or greasy at some point. I used to work as a jewellery enameller.
I feel like there was another video a few years back where Sophie was super geeked out about a pan, an egg maker, or something. Gave me one of the best giggles I had all year (which was much needed). Nothing like a good pan. Thank you for your Christmas day video. I watch and rewatch them every year. So generous of you and David to film and share that special day with us....

I bought the egg poacher years ago after watching that video and it’s fantastic. I have used it a lot ever since and it’s showing no signs of wear at all.

Full granite or titanium is my favorite, lasts much longer than a coating.

Coach needs to step up and make this right for you. I too have a collection of high and mid range bags. Of which several are Coach. But this makes me rethink buying more of their products if they are lacking in quality and refusing to fix their mistakes. LOVE your videos Sophie. Always look forward to watching. Happy New Year. For the ring missing the enamel, get some high gloss nail polish & match the color, you wont even notice its chipped!

Love the Hello Kitty nails !!! And think you may be right about the pans. I was just asking ppl about whether certain ones were worth the money and it just may be!! Actually, after buying a few I ended up tossing, I could've already bought something better. Lesson learned.
I now always look for the studs on the bottom of a bag as then I know it is protected when placed on the ground. Unfortunately this is often not the case.
I ordered 3 different Coach bags this year; every one had some defect which lead me to return all of them. I have sworn off Coach bags and will no longer be purchasing any more. As for your multicolor; it is a beautiful bag in immaculate condition. With the re-release of the collection you could sell if for more that you purchased+your taxes. I think you got a good deal...wear her and enjoy!!
Buy All-Clad pans and don’t put them in the dishwasher. Their nonstick surface is excellent, and you can easily wash them quickly in the sink. Putting any nonstick pan in the dishwasher can damage them.
All Clad is really hard to find in the UK - it has to be imported from the US so it's much more expensive.

The paint should not have rubbed off of that coach bag. AND they should have paid for the repair.
I have one non-stick fry pan to cook eggs in. I like it for that purpose because it creates the illusion of a fried egg without so many calories or expense. Other than that, I don't use them for the reasons you have raised. I shudder to think what I must be ingesting if the non-stick surface lifts! I would be annoyed about the situation with the Coach backpack also. Odd that they would not fix it. I have been in Coach boutiques with bags in perfect condition and they have offered to spa them gratis!

Hi Sophie, I just LOVE you picking the pan as your best buy of the year🤣. In 2023 my best buy was hands down a compartimented garbage bin with infra red sensor to open it😝🗑️🎉. It the life fase were in. But a good pan..is worth so much, next time I’m in the UK I’ll make sure I have a check in suitcase to get that pan at John Lewis. Or could it be my personal item😝.. an emotional support frying pan
You can take the Coach bag to a leathersmith and they can dye match the bag. Sadly you would have to pay for something Coach should fix.

Last year I bought a quilted Valentino shopper bag (same material as your backpack). The color on this one also started to come off after just a few weeks. That was very annoying.
So-hie, that is not a defect on your small Coach backpack. You have rubbed it against a coarse surface while carrying it and were not aware that occurred. It’s clearly been scraped against a surface.
I was thinking the same, it very much look like it rubbed up against something. I have coach bags and never has a problem. Just replaces my 10 year old wallet 😂

Dear Sophie, thank you for another informative video. I think most if not all of your subscribers would understand you deal with various brands. I trust your judgement. The Gucci bag is stunning, real shame about the ring, it's so pretty. Maybe ask the shop about getting a replacement or repairs? I still think an enameled pendant or a pair of earrings will be beautiful. However, they are not as durable as diamond jewellery in real precious metal. ❤
Hi Sophie, thanks for sharing. I think it's trully impossible to not have 1 bad purchase unfortunatley. Sorry to hear your Coach bag was faulty, however I think even if they gave you a new one / repaired it, it's a reflection of the lack of quality on that particular bag. I do think that your ring is unfortunatley not faulty. Enamel is not a strong material compared to certain gemstones and the design is very delicate, it sticks out and is curved so the enamel isnt very protected. I think it was intended to be a dress ring but I also think that the salesperson should have told you that.

Love your video and videos in general:-) I bought my first and only ( don’t think I would consider the brand again…)coach bag , I have been told that it has a kind of warranty and if anything goes wrong they would repair it, I literally used it once!! Only one morning for a brunch!! The hook of the handle broke, I did contact them straight away, they confirmed that I was still under warranty, took three days to come back to me and saying they the bag was discontinued and that they can’t repair it!!😢 I was extremely disappointed and I made it clear that it wasn’t right to assure me that I would have a warranty and at the end have this ridiculous service.. they apologised and offered me a 10% voucher for any next purchase…. I obviously never bought anything from them again and don’t even use that bag…. I can’t sell it be a it’s defective..it every frustrating!!!…

The hardware on my Coach was turning..the outlet took it, sent it back for me, no charge. The warranty was within the year. I ended up selling it, was too small. It was a pretty mint green.
I understand how that feels about that LV bag but not using it only makes it more you’re “paying” for it. Your lack of using it cost per wear is only making it worst. When that happens to me I enjoy wearing it even more and move on.

Les Nereides is frequently sold on a few flash sale websites. I bought a ring from that brand, and quality/material wise, i'd never buy it full price. Flash sale price yes.
Personally I would take the ring back and also contact Coach CS and mention that you have put the experience that you received from them regarding the blue bag online with a link to it.!

I have Coach backpack and it wears great! You probably were unlucky to get a defective one. I have at least a dozen Coach bags and I've never had a bad experience with leather. The only negative thing - their gun metal hardware peels after maybe a year of wearing a bag.
Honestly I think it must be common in that jewellery brand cause I have a pair of earrings from the brand you got the ring from and the white enamel is constantly chipping away and I barely wear them and it’s honestly such a shame cause they are adorable
There’s one perspective I’ve come to after living in the US for some time. All labor should be compensated (unless you really want to volunteer for something). You perform a labor creating UA-cam content and you’re more than entitled to compensation for it. Obviously, if adds perpetually infringe on the quality of your content, it may hurt the viewership. But inherently, there is nothing wrong with including adds in your videos. You do work (a good one, judging by number of views) and you’re entitled to compensation for it. As simple as that.

Coach is overrated and their designs are cheugy
Non-stick has forever chemicals and when the food starts to stick the chemicals get into your system. That are a plethora of studies on this.
Euww, that white spot on your Coach bag means their leather is not drum dyed so the color permeates all the way through! Coach quality is very unpredictable, so unreliable IMO. Some of their bags are outstanding, others quite poor. I have a Coach Small City Tote that has aged very badly indicating cheap, chintzy leather. Sad.😕🤗

I will say the bag is probably in better condition than the luxury promise one it does look new and you can get a new nose on it
15:04 it is the worst purchase, because you were buying it as a bargain or a souvenir, not as an actual item. The easiest question to avoid such useless purchase is to ask: “Would I buy for a full price?” If only a price does meter, don’t buy it.
Use UV clear nail polish on ring
Sainsbury’s and Tkmax do really good quality kitchen stuff
We only buy pans that are more on the expensive side.
You will get a lot of use out of it and they last for a long time.
Some pans have toxic layers under the non stick layer and that is
bad for your health.
I totally understand what you are saying about the Coach bag and the flower ring.
In my opinion they are both defects. And i think that you are a person who is
careful with her accessories and clothes, so i really believe they are defects.
Coach should give a new bag or at least repair your bag.
And the shop from the ring should give you another ring or a refund, but to be honest
i think that the enamel would chip off again very soon with a new one.
The bag at luxury promise might have very bad damages hence the half price vs ur tokyo buy on the LV bag
I've had enamel jewelry get messed up because of getting wet. If you washed your hands with it on I think that could have caused it.

Granite cookware is my favorite.
I have a strawberry bracelet from the same brand as your ring. Wow it really sucks but i think they do repairs (at a fee). Its a french brand i believe, but i dont think its worth the price.

Oh Sophie that’s not on re Coach. I can’t remember when you said you purchased the bag but at the time you were covered by the Consumer rights Act Section 23: Right to repair or replacement. In fact as it was only a few weeks old when the fault developed and the bag showed no signs of abuse you were entitled to a full refund.
P.s Take the ring back
There are multiple Les Nereides boutiques in London. Brand offers lifetime warranty, I had pieces ( necklaces, albeit from their de luxe three rows range), which I purchased years prior, brought in for repair, no receipt, it was taken in with no questions asked and no charge for repair.
I personally prefer Covent Garden boutique.
You need to let go of thinking how much you could have saved because a similar bag is cheaper because the one you got in Japan is much nicer meaning lesser wear compare to the quality of the other bag that you saw. It has a higher price tag simply because it has better quality.

It looks like you’ve scuffed the Coach backpack against something and it’s scraped it to be honest. I’ve done the same to bags walking past things.
Also, your Murakami is in great condition, that’s where the value is.

Unfortunately, with enamel rings, it is a nature of the beast as enamel is notoriously fragile. If you love enamel jewellery it is better to opt for earrings or pendants and even with those you need to be extra cautious and store them carefully.
In general you don't put non stick pans in the dish washer.
I think that LV bag is great , great condition, just use it and enjoy , not everything can be an investment, just look at it as a reminder of a great trip❤

I’d have been straight back with the ring as it’s again poor quality/workmanship as it’s not fit for purpose really even though it’s costume jewellery the concept of enamelling just doesn’t work on it .. X

I get the cringe on all of the bad things that happened with Coach (I feel they are a pretty dubious company now), overpaying for the used bag and the enamal ring chipping. Everything was costly and you made the best decisions you could at the time. Too many items, whether luxury or just nice items are so poorly contructed now.

When it comes to the nonstick pans, PLEASE do yourself a favor and switch to cast iron or carbon steel. Nonstick is notorious for containing highly toxic PFAS (Perfluoroalkyl and Polyfluoroalkyl Substances) chemicals which leach readily into food (and don't be fooled by labels of "PFOA free" which are essentially meaningless). Cast iron/carbon steel cookware is non-toxic, relatively inexpensive (roughly 100 Euros/pounds or less for a large pan) and practically indestructible (they last well beyond our lifetimes). If you order the pans already seasoned, then they have great non-stick properties. Over time with further cooking, the seasoning gets more established, making the pans more non-stick.
Otherwise, love your videos--very disappointing about the Coach bag, and happy to learn about idyl, which has such beautiful, dainty designs! If I manage to save up for it, will definitely splurge on their jewelry! Thank you for the excellent content!
The handle on the pan cannot go in the oven.
I don't mean to be a kill joy but do your own research into non-stick coatings. For this reason l use glass (pyrex) or cast iron... I did watch your previous video. I love you green jacket & the miffy bag 💜
Are you frying with olive oil or non at all? That's part of the problem. With coach it's harder for them to say not my problem to your face so go in store.
