David and his jokes should be in the podcast more often. Hahaha 😂
Came here for this comment. Loved him since he was apart of Android Authority
“How do you hang something that’s 40lbs?” “Put it on a c stand” 😂
Andrew’s comment about working at a job you don’t like and coming home to force yourself to stay up late is complete facts
They need to have a producer camera, when the producer speaks we can see his reaction
I really relate to what Andrew was saying about work life balance with his old job. Getting back from work and feeling like you just don’t have any time left in the day to do the things you actually care about. Even if that means reading a book or playing a game. Or doing nothing at all. I struggle with this so much these days.
man when they talked about working at a job that makes you wanna stay up cause you felt like you didn't accomplish anything that day hit hard for me, I cant wait till I find a job I actually love and get rid of this feeling and staying up all night lol
congratulations for completing 100 episodes of the best tech podcast
Wan show better
One of my favorite channels at the moment. Congrats!
I always look forward to Adam's editing. He's definitely the silent, 3rd host of the show.

Great episode. It sounded so fun this morning on Podcasts, but felt that I missed part of that fun because of not watching it, so I ‘listened’ again this afternoon while watching on UA-cam 😊👍

Waveform is my start to the weekend whilst I eat my dinner (UK) congratulations you deserve it! Thank you
Haha i'm one hour ahead >:)
Cybertruck discussion missed a lot of details that have been learned from the recent video/images like:
B, C pillars have some kind of button near the base likely for opening the doors.
Quad-motor configuration likely replacing tri-motor.
The tires still have the same outline from the prototype, so a similar aero-cap still looks to be on the table.
We have seen images of a more standard dashboard with what looks like a 2nd display for behind the yoke like the new Model S/X.
Bed now has a plastic cover in the bed vs. exposed stainless steel.
The current tailgate design has changed a lot and the current version doesn't have a ramp.
The sail-storage on the side of the bed doesn't seem to be present on the new version.
Cybertruck door opening hitting a toddler bit was awesome😂😂. Congrats for the plack
David should be in every podcast.
Great Marques keep going on
And you left it all in at the end. nice!
The discussion on aesthetic vs price can be a whole video!
Interesting! Nice video and congrats!✌️
1:00:50 "I CREATED THIS PODCAST!!!" 😅🤣😂 Had me chuckle hearing that
Yep Marques is definitely motivating me.
thanks for picking my question !!
Love your show guys :)
I own an X. You do not have to touch anything, just walking up to the car it opens the driver's door for you if you have self presenting door feature on.
The door has the same ultrasonic sensors like the falcon wing door in it and hasn't opened into anything for me in years. It works really well, it did not when the X first came out.
Exception: When the wife opens the door and the wind catches it... She panics and lets go... and it slams it into the side view mirror of the car next to you. Lesson learned. Park facing into the wind.
@@davidd5523 dang! That's a bummer. We live on a steep street and an even steeper driveway and sometimes it's even hard to get the door to open wider or close because it locks in place on the grade. You gotta wiggle it a little. I wonder if it would have stopped had she not grabbed it?
@@legacytesla At least for us, the door only seems to lock in place if it detects an object that it would run into when opening. Happens in our garage where we only have a couple feet of clearances. It doesn't seem to happen otherwise. In this case, the car next to us was far enough away the passenger door fully opened without hitting their door but close enough the last inch of our door hit the outer edge of the mirror. left a good half dollar sized dent just under the bodyline that runs beneath the door handles.
Ill do some tests on the locking in place but this is also San Francisco so the winds get pretty strong. Bottom line though, we now keep positive control of the doors.
My favorite pod!!!!
I would love to listen to you guys talking more about the retrotech stuff!
You all talk so great !!! ....... A good podcast indeed..
I like podcasts. Whether from the BBC or PBS or DW (Deutsche Welle) or now here there, there is always something new to learn and then think about. Because the media is in audio, I can put on my headphones, lay back in the chair and just "zone in." Thanks for all of the time and effort the whole team shares with the work to make this possible. Almost to the point of finding a Webie Award in a categories to nominate all of you for. I need to so some research on the subject matter. So you had the opportunity to go First Class and you did.
Congratulations on 💯
Me anytime David is on the podcast: 🤩
Same!
3:56 That reaction of Marques is priceless :-D
"...i want to hold that so badly"
- marques probably
Oh and here’s me sitting in my parking lot in my car listening to this podcast 😂
Something I was kind of wondering about was how technology is affecting medicine? Many people wonder about how things like vaccines are developed and made, and providing more clarity in technological advances are occurring in medicine may be one of those transcendent kind of episodes? So glad I found this podcast! Thanks for making such great content!
Congratulations…I remember listening the first one on the Podcasts app
39:32 Your answers to this question actually made me laugh out loud, haha
Love to see Hank Green got very briefly featured
Yo! I’m nearly a week late but my question got answered about spending more for aesthetic purposes! Very cool, thanks guys.
I mostly listen to podcast while cooking
24:07 interchanging the generation of technology with wavelength made my heart cry
based on the side wall pattern it looks like these are the rims that you get on the cyber truck as standard however previously were hidden by the oddly shaped aero covers. you can see the outline of the aero covers they previously showed in the video on the side walls of those wheels.
Love JRE. Love David and his deep dives too. Congrats on the 100th!
I can definitely admit that aesthetics play a big part for me. My first brand new smartphone is the OnePlus 6, and if they hadn’t been out of stock I would’ve shelled out the extra money for the red variant in spite of the fact that I didn’t need the extra RAM/storage. Got the OnePlus 7 Pro after that because I loved the look of the notchless screen even though it’s functionally pretty much the same.
The worker’s comments on the cyber truck is hilarious
I don't know why I listen, but I can't stop...
You guys should do another 5G UWB video. I've had very good experience with it. I get it in a very wide range of areas in DFW and get up to 2500Mbps.
Yeah been waiting 👌👌
Congrats on show award! I own a model X and I have it set to auto open/close when I approach with keys on me. I don’t have to touch handles and the sensors control how far they open just like falcon doors. So I would assume cybertruck would work the same.
Agreed. Self opening doors sound crazy but X has been doing this for years. Best feature of my X
I'd incorrectly assumed that the model S does this too.
@@alamandrax yeah, the S just exposes the door handles when you walk up to the vehicle
Elon has said the giant windshield wiper is not going to be production wiper
It's the same exact cybertruck wheels as the concept, they just took the covers off. You can see the same is the exact same. Sideview mirrors are required by law upon delivery, but Tesla/Elon have stated that they'll make it extremely easy to remove
The reason it doesn't make sense for Tiktok to do something like youtube plaques is because youtube is mainly a 'specific' content creator driven platform where the viewer is mostly likely to click on a video if they recognise the creator whereas on TikTok, majority of the clips you're gonna see are going to be from creators you don't recognise, so tiktok creators dont matter as much as yt creators (not that it's a bad thing).
Congo WVFRM!
Mercedes has had single wipers for decades. Had it on a huge s class and it reaches pretty much the whole windshield cause they added a second linear motion at the same time as the angular motion.
Mercedes overengineered their windshield wipers too :D
Single windshieldwiper in the Center, moving from side to side on an eccentric axle, to reach the corners better - I think it can be found on the koenigsegg One:1 too
Does Adam have his own channel?
I love the guy.
I finally realized the difference between the iPhone camera and a normal camera 📷 when David recorded Adam behind the scenes.... I used to think iPhone cameras are better than real cameras....I think the screen of iPhones also count
Yeah the oled and hdr make a lot of difference
@@gahlol7069 yeah sure
I was a 5G hater, but when I was in a hotel with 5G I never once searched for Wi-Fi. its a game changer. I don't need blazing speeds, i just need reliable 10 megabit.
Most of its just dot regulations but I’m not mad! It definitely grew on me, I have ZERO clue how, but as long as we get the sick wheel covers, I might consider it!
The doors on the model x will open on approach without pressing a button. There is a setting in the menu for me to turn that off and do when I know I’m going to be walking back and forth to the car for stuff in the trunk.
Waveform is my weekend bedtime story
Thanks for another great Q&A! Be safe with winter. It's been in the 70s here in LA 🙌🏼
The concept had an aero cap. The second prototype is missing the aero cap. You can see the outline of the aero cap on the actual tire
Model X has self opening driver door when approaching. Can open passenger & falcon wing doors from key
The wendover productions video on how cell service works is great and goes well with the 5g segment.
Nice episode. 🙋♀️ Please do one on monopolies and monopolies of information. So much of the creator economy or lack of one is bc of the flattening of population. Like big tech picks winners?
Also would love to see you guys just kinda explore the city. Nyc is like right there. 👋
I feel like Rick (whoever you are) was a real part of this video. I vote for Rick to be the unofficial "Keeper of Plaques" for Waveform.
The wheel and tire combo on the Cyber truck in the video that was shown is pretty typical of what you would find and see on any other newer pickup today
Take a look at the 94 E Class single wiper design 😉
on the topic of evs, i really think people should check out charge cars. The work they are doing really has a nice concept to it. I mean turning those classic 67 mustangs to be fullly electric. I do think they deserve a mention or so.
