At 78 I'm always happy to find Westerns based on historical events. How many know about the History of Texas and why their citizens were once loyal to Mexico? Reading about the "rebel" Americans' land grabs in northern Mexico and resisting America's help for fear of losing their declared independence. How ironic that the Texans, when faced with defeat and hanging by Mexico, finally begged the U.S. Cavalry for help. Remember the Alamo's real TRUTH, indeed. Thanks for posting this.
