But if the spouse is ABUSIVE, then a spouse can file for divorce on grounds of spousa abuse... and stay in the country (without fullfilling the x years stay first). So many foreign women PREFER a bad western "husband", because that will make it so much easier to get a EU citizenship WITHOUT being married for long term. Can only assume that foreign males may be just as manipulative.

He 100% doesn't have feelings for Sam. He's focused on getting a VISA as he already said. He also said that by her acting like that, it proves he has control over her feelings and emotions. He's tolerating it because in the scheme of things, he knows he won't be with her long-term. Many people are in these types of relationships unfortunately.
He also said that he was trying for ages to catch someone. He caught Sam with his smooth talking so he's sticking with his plan.
To get residency in the EU. It usually requires:
Visa + stay in the EU on that residence visa for x years.
But if the spouse is ABUSIVE, then a spouse can file for divorce on grounds of spousa abuse... and stay in the country (without fullfilling the x years stay first).
So many foreign women PREFER a bad western "husband", because that will make it so much easier to get a EU citizenship WITHOUT being married for long term.
Can only assume that foreign males may be just as manipulative.
Sam is incredibly disrespectful, she constantly tells Ali to shut up, scorns his culture and speaks to him like he's a dog. She has no sense of politeness or traits that anyone would desire.
