This is definitely a must do mod if you're a owner of a original backwards compatible model. Never really a fan of the new logo being used on the older versions of the units I kind of wish there was 2 versions.
Yea Sony should've left the old phat models alone instead of making them conform to the bootup of the slim models. The new logo and startup doesn't fit the old phat models at all.

it was little scary messing with the boot files but it wasn't too bad after a few times, now I have custom boot logo and custom audio and game boot is perfect from the first firmware reminds me of the ps2 logo when booting a game

I tried these files on the new Evilnat firmware update 4.91, and they do work. However, the oboe at the beginning isn't quite as pronounced and the PlayStation 3 old logo gameboot with the chime has a faint echo to it. I'm not sure why. Worked fine on Evilnat 4.90.

If you are on Evilnat 4.91, yes there's an option to disable the gameboot. You do not need to install the gameboot files as they're already included in the update. You just need to install the coldboot files.
@@seyidsenol1921 I can probably tell english isnt your main language, but i kinda understand it. You have to restore it with the regular firmware, wiping everything off the PS3 in safe mode, then you have to re-jailbreak it. Only the softboot change works, and not the game boot.

I can't copy the 5 files, it says there's not enough room on the drive
Delete the files that are the same as the files you are trying to copy and it will work as it worked for me

you had to mount dev flash as dev blind in multiman settings
if you are on HEN the folder is dev_rewrite

no, but to play ps2 iso's you must have the latest cfw, it won't work on hen, you have to convert them into pkg files.

5 months later i finally restored it. You have to reinstall the firmware for it to fix. Apparently it doesnt work with HEN. I learned the hard way.
