Omg I’ve been avoiding vinylux on my toes for years because ten years ago when I tried it I was stuck with coral toe nails for like four months it was insane
The first version of Vinylux, when it first came out was VERY difficult to remove from toes after few weeks. It would not dissolve almost. It would like flake off after serious scrubbing.
Do you have tips on when a vinylux nailpolish is getting uneven in the consistence? Shake it more? Some times some vinylux colours is very thick and difficult to create thin layers, even if they are brand new, so it takes forever for them to dry. Any tips?
Hi Maria! Yes, shake it more. Vinylux sometimes gets lumpy but it gets back to normal when shaken very well. Also prevent the air from getting in by keeping the bottle neck clean :).
Thanks for the video! I've recently discovered Vinylux and so far love it on my toes. I have thin nails on my hands though so I always have a hard gel overlay on them. I saw a few videos where they buffed the surface of the hard gel and then applied regular polish. Have you done this and if so, how does Vinylux wear over buffed hard gel? I like to change to my look once a week and although I love gel, the removal (filing or soaking it all off) is a pain, so I'm experimenting with regular polish- particularly Vinylux as it gets great wear reviews.
Yes you can totally apply Vinylux on top of buffed gel. It should last very well. If you want to go back to natural nails I would suggest hardener if your nails are bendy (too flexible). One with Dimethyl Urea would be a good choice (Dior Abricot Base Coat contains it) PS. Hard gel doesn't usually soak off...
@@TheSalonLife Thank you! What I meant was soft gel colors OVER the hard gel. I sometimes use peel off base over topcoated hard gel (which of course doesn't last more than a few days) or soak off the soft gel (which normally, of course, doesn't budge the hard gel but takes a long time to do!).
Yes, gel polish doesn't soak off the hard gel very well. Normally nail techs file it off (which is a LOT of work too). No idea. Does it happen to you too? I find that when the polish dries fully the bubbles are not visible anymore. Maybe slightly too thick? I usually use Dazzle Dry and their top coat must be applied thicker so maybe I should adjust my technique....? You need to add a few drops of polish thinner.
CND does not recommend thinning their nail polish

Hi Lisa! Usually alcohol 99%. I use pure acetone (cosmetic grade) to remove polish and gel polish.
Can I use other brands for that top coat..are use the same cnd ..

VINYLUX doesn't need a Base Coat, I believe it is already in the Color coat.
