My prime go has been the only device I've ever bought that has gotten so many new functionalities and updates. 99% of everything sold around remains more or less the same as bought. The prime go nowadays is a totally different animal to the one I bought over a year ago.
The prime go has only gotten better with each upgrade, and I can attest to that having driven that bad boy for two years. But its good to see the Go finally get some competition in its weight class - but damn the mixstream go actually has mic EQ....AND built-in Bluetooth. Nice job Newmark 👍
Wow!! Thank you Terry for this video review. This is the update I've been waiting for. Bluetooth and the FX . I love the Rane Four FX. I had no idea those new features where coming. I am super excited. Engine OS is killing it. I'm so glad i still have my prime 4. After looking at this video review I'm thinking of buying this Numark pro mix go. Having all those features i would take that controller to the beach , park anywhere. Love it.
Terry, thanks for the update information. When I was working for GC and SA, I used to be able to predict the updates. Glad I was right about this. Now I need to figure out if I want this or the Prime 2. In Music is making Pioneer DJ work on something.
Thanks, Terry! This is nice, but I wish they would give us a version that ditches the speakers for a second row of pads and longer pitch faders. I am excited for the release of Engine 3.1 though. I'd like to see how many of these features show up in the Prime GO before I consider replacing it.
My p4 is the best investment so far, really enjoy it more since adding the SC600M to scratch with.. Thx Denon and Terry for the great update/review as always.
I was super excited about this on launch but having only 1 Quarter inch microphone input is a deal breaker for me. I already have a Prime GO and a SC4 Live so I am set. I love having the speakers on the SC4 Live. I do like the bigger Jogs on Mixstream and the paddles but Hard to beat the build quality of the Prime Go. The Prime Go sounds fantastic with high end speakers. Wish we could get a comparison of the sound quality of Prime Go and Mixstream? Could you comment on quality?
Fantastic review CT, as usual. Bought a new Pro the other day at a price I could not pass. Now, I have an XZ and P4, but have found I am reaching for the pro on more recent small/medium sized gigs. To me, with the small size, portability and facilities it has, already a winner. However, the forthcoming updates are blowing me away…as will also come to the P4 I will be in heaven. Can live without the Go as have other options (although not as convenient of course).
So my Mixstream Pro Go is on 3.2, but I don't see any bluetooth functionality.... did they leave it out until the next update? ff anyone in the comments knows, please lemme know. L8r!
I've been on a Numark IDJPRO for years with the 30pin to lighting adapter using Algoriddim Djay pro, also use the iPad with a Numark Scratch mixer for DVS vinyl with an iPad, a very good combo that I absolutely love, however I really want sound switch and I don't want to be tied to Apple devices anymore. Apple just killed charging with the camera adapter that I use for my numark scratch mixer, and while this might be fixed in an update I'm tired of worrying about updates! ready to move on to engine DJ as I personally don't like Serato. I wish there was an Algoriddim standalone but until that day comes I'm looking at the Numark Mixstream Pro Go or Denon SC Live 2/4. The engine OS 3.1/3.2 touch effects seems like it would be similar to the Algoriddim Djay touch effects which are amazing, if so I just gotta decide on if I should stick with Numark (which has worked great for me for years) or switch to the "Pro level" Denon brand. Don't know if the cost is worth it as Numark may be budget but offers Pro level in my opinion. Any thoughts?
When I got my Prime 2 I held onto to my MC6000mk2 and laptop 'just in case' and my Traktor Kontrol MK3 'just in case' these things just collect dust now... the prime series is just outstanding.
Thanks for the review. Glad they've gone with the battery. I had the original and enjoyed it. But my only issue is that the screen doesn't tilt so after a few hours you get neck fatigue.
So looking forward to these engine updates. My original Mixstream Pro is gathering dust in a cupboard, but looking forward to practically having a new device when the updates are available. Amazon not really a biggie for me so not worried about that functionality.
Cleveland Terry! I love your video reviews! In this video you said the mix stream pro go can Bluetooth to audio from a external computer/ tablet. How did you unlock that feature? I have Engine dj 3.3.0. Keep making awesome videos. 👌

I am a big fan of the original Mixstream Pro so it's great to see that they are still doing the software updates for the older units while still doing new hardware. Great video!
Awesome content. I think I’m ready to pull the trigger on this one. Would the dust cover from the original Mixstream pro work with the new one. I’m looking to see if they have one, but I don’t see anything but the original cover. You have a new name… Cleveland “Boombox”Terry “ 😅. Keep up the awesome work. ❤
excellent video mate, didn't know about the bluetooth thing. you are right though. usually wifi modules are also combi devices with bluetooth as well. having that will be genius. I suspect you will be able to pair devices to it to send auto to the decks, and I also suspect it can go the other way like bluetooth headphones, and perhaps external bluetooth speakers etc. definitely liked and subscibed from the UK.
Considering one of these as a backup to my MacBook Traktor setup. I’m not really interested in streaming but would want to connect an SSD (at least 512GB) and be able to play tracks straight from that. Also would be ideal if people handed me a USB with music on if I could play that without any prep on a computer. Is this possible and how easy is it… are there any videos out there that focus on playing from physical storage? I haven’t found anything where anybody talks about it… thanks
Its good to see these controllers coming out. Although I feel its a bit high compared to the OG and the Prime Go, I see lots of people buying this and the Hercules T7.
I have a question did they ever going to do new subwoofers is coming out JBL any other the Maki or any other speaker company going to have anything new on subwoofers or tops speakers
Who's to blame for not having artist info, only song title, on the deck (Prime Go for me) while playing a Tidal track? I've been requesting that since day one almost.
On the Denon Prime Go how to do turn off the sync? It gets stuck on the sync and I cant get the pitch control back to normal unless I turn off the device.
They'll probably find a way to add a bank feature to add four more buttons for hot cue's, etc. Just my opinion. But then again, the box would need it's own update for that probably, being as though Denon updates are universal. We will see. Great review.
Only con: Engine Desktop and OS don't have any feature to convert Virtual Dj files to Engine Dj, although VDJ and Engine DJ are integrated. Real shame.
Any $500+ dj controller, I'll considered to be a premium console, having said that speakers are taking space where you can add an extra mic input, a sampler, longer battery, specially when you can just use headphones, I am pro no speakers on premium consoles 🙌
Only thing I dislike on engine you need to reboot into computer mode instead of just being able go between! I probably will get the go cause its a phenomenal back up
