I have it paired up to my iPad Air running Algoriddim Dj Pro and absolutely love it,, initially l thought I wanted the built in screen but I am now used to the iPad size screen which I have made a custom stand/ holder for that it doesn’t bother me,, Microphone eq would have been really nice as well as a usb c port seeing they removed the Ethernet port. I also wish there was a way of seeing the battery level indicator in Computer mode..😊
Not having EQ on the mics is a huge miss! I would like to use this as a cermony controller as a stand alone. Not being able to EQ mics means I still need an external mixer. Also not have the screen tilt, I am shocked they didn't change that. I will stick with original Prime Go.
Felicidades, buena revisión del prime go plus ,pero no veo la necesidad de cambiar mi go por una nueva no hay nada nuevo. Esperaré algo más adelante y ver lo que ofrece Denon con sus productos nuevos. Un saludo desde Conil, España.
finally someone with a real review. Seems the denon fanboys dont want to bash their own but are pretty vocal about everything pioneer/alpha releases. Big fail here. This color scheme is what is used on Numark so even the change of color seems to make this look cheaper. Engine software is great but looks like denon innovation has stalled as well. I have denon, numark and pioneer gear and love them all for different reasons but funny how quickly the newbie DJ's rip pioneer / alpha.
It's such a weird thing to just get rid of. It's not like the ethernet port was sacrificed to make space for a new feature so why make it harder for those few people who need it? 🤔
@EuroNation this isn’t an added part like when people get mad they put trs inputs vs xlr. This was already on the device. Cost cutting is relative to who deems it cheap or expensive. An Ethernet port is cheap.
@miyagithedj I completely understand and I don’t have a problem with the new DRM chip, etc., but my whole issue is it was there before. The sclives never had them.
@@ClevelandTerrycorrect. SC Lives never had them, because it isn't part of the I|O, hence the lack of ethernet on the Go +. We couldn't keep it bc it isn't there with the more efficient chip.
It's doesn't make sense why people are complaining, other than Denon scraping the Ethernet port and no mic EQs.... Denon has the Prime 4+ SC Live 2&4... If you want a Prime GO upgrade that's bigger and better and still pretty portable, then get the SC Live 2 or 4, especially the 2 if you only care about 2 channels. Think people, Denon still wants to sell their other standalone controller lines.
At least they didn't boost the price. Smart move on their part! Better battery life will be enough to bring those on the fence into the fold. As for me, I'll keep rocking my oG Go until it dies. Still waiting to see if the new chipset is a noticeable upgrade.
The update has been highly problematic on my SC Live 4 - the tempo sync is all over the place and will suddenly choose the tempo of a newly loaded track. It's making it difficult to use - anyone have this issue or any tips? Can you revert to previous version?
Forgot about the extra 20% battery. Comes clutch for multiple events in one day. Bluetooth is great now I can dj from my bed to Bluetooth studio speakers
Looks like music hardware has really stagnated. I can't believe 5 years has passed by so quickly. I thought with AlphaTheta's response to this device, there would have been more upgrades. But inMusic has gotten lazy. Smarter people will find a secondhand Prime Go
Such a shame they have blocked features from the prime 2. It's just as expensive and as good as the 4, better than the Go and it feels they are trying to force you into more expensive ways to do things. Disappointed in Denon for this but hey. Still have a great device.
Not worth the upgrade if you have the original prime go, Things I would have consider...to upgrade 1- Better crossfader!!!!! One side starts bleeding out with time. 2-Mic EQ....... At least this can come on an update for now, we gotta buy an external mixer 3- tilt screen or tilt stand For better viewing angles 4- type C charger 2024 type C is the way to go to charge electronics Don't get me wrong I love my denon prime go, but for 1k and many years later i was expecting at least 1 or 2 of the mentioned upgrades😢 Save money buy inmofaders, external mixer, an a laptop stand like me😅
The worst part is they couldn't even fix the simple crossfader bleed they use the same cheap crossfader even on the SC2 sc4 I hear everybody complain about the crossfader and it's bleeding I baby my prime go and after about 3 months a crossfader bleed issue get out of here Denon could have done so much better and just make the quality just a little bit better I feel the quality lacked
What a disappointment from Denon! I was waiting for the prime go MK2 and they came with this joke! After 5 years and not even mic EQ! Luckily I bought the prime 4+ a few months ago and I’ll stick to that one!
That’s the kind of review. I’m used to hearing from Terri. Very honest, straightforward.

with Virtual DJ you can see battery level in computer mode
@@ajtkyqa good to know,
If and when VDJ gets an iOS version, I’ll be the first one to try it
2:18 you can use a usb hub/dongle with an ethernet port so you won’t lose access to a usb port.
@@DJ_V_squared or you can just keep the Ethernet port. 😀
@@ClevelandTerry They took it off to increase battery time length
@bboymac84 lol. Ethernet uses less power than WiFi.
@@ClevelandTerry True, wish clubs would put a router in the booth so us DJ's can use it. Seeing how pioneer is everywhere...
thank you bro for this review was hoping you got a review copy from denon.
Outside of longer battery time and Amazon... there's really nothing else. What an odd thing to release five years on.
It’s a great back up if your controlling malfunction during a gig. Thanks for the update 🫡

I get it.
Right i though they would add a tilt screen! PASS!!
Use a mixer with an EQ cut
@@Positive_Tea the need for a mixer is the issue.
@@ClevelandTerry the unit is so small, the need for an external mixer is a bummer. Are there any dynamic mics with on board EQ?

Not sure why anyone would buy this and want to use a laptop/serato or VDJ etc. Thanks for not just going over features and doing actual reviews.
You’re welcome.
Thank you Cleveland, No EQ on the mics is a BIG NO for me.
It's such a weird thing to just get rid of. It's not like the ethernet port was sacrificed to make space for a new feature so why make it harder for those few people who need it? 🤔
It cuts costs and isn't worth putting in when everything is wireless nowadays. You can plug in a dongle.
@EuroNation this isn’t an added part like when people get mad they put trs inputs vs xlr. This was already on the device. Cost cutting is relative to who deems it cheap or expensive. An Ethernet port is cheap.
@ClevelandTerry the new chip in the Go + is similar to the SC Live 2 and 4. No ethernet on those either.
@miyagithedj I completely understand and I don’t have a problem with the new DRM chip, etc., but my whole issue is it was there before. The sclives never had them.

Bluetooth Out is not supported on Prime 4; only Prime 4+

Are there any talks about working with Serato like the Numark? Do you know if the Omnus Duo ever got Serato access?
What about the "ableton" link function? For lets say link an mpc.. is link still avaible?
Don't forget updated hardware. New chipsets, memory ect. Thats a positive. That's the reason computer users upgrade is for better processing power

Get a mic with a low cut, that’s all you should need right?
@@Positive_Tea not every person on a mic requires a low cut. Some require more bass or just less treble, so that doesn’t solve the problem.
@@ClevelandTerry hmmm that’s definitely still a problem. What would be the cheapest solution for a separate in-line EQ?
