I hold mostly conservative values but I definitely have some ideas that would be considered left. I just think it's so dumb that we've been made to pick sides. The rivalries are getting as bad as some pro sports rivalries. Like I've lost "friends" because I of the conservative values I hold. The people that would unfriend you because of your values are toxic anyway, I don't cry over it. Although it is sad to me that they're so attached to these ideologies and political leanings that they would delve even further into an echo chamber.

If you want to actually make a difference, go to your local city council meetings. Volunteer.
I found out eventually, as I grew older, that sometimes the most radical thing I can do (as a trans woman) is wake up every morning, put on my clothes, get outside, live, and stay sober and healthy. Be an example for your community. If we all spent more time helping each other and educating, we could do more than we currently do.

Let me offer a friendly counter point to something you mentioned in your commentary.
While Jan 6 did take place in 2021, it's after effects are still relevant today. When you have Trump being indicted for his role in Jan 6 with the investigation being spearheaded by Jack Smith or the Colorado Supreme Court deciding to take Trump off the ballot and other states weighing on a similar decision, naturally you're going to see a lot of debate and discussion around this topic since a lot of these decisions have happened recently.
BLM, on the other hand, I don't see a whole lot of online discourse these days since the movement/organization hasn't done anything of note since 2020, though I could be wrong. A bit weird to compare the two in my opinion.
You don’t see a lot of the blm stuff today nowadays the BLM chapters in Chicago or New York are saying “racist” things about the illegals coming to those cities and they’re the ones who are getting money and houses and stuff and BLM “leaders” have come out(in chicago) saying they’d vote Trump if they don’t get rid of the illegals first and take care of there own cities

Some good points Finn. I try to evaluate everything objectively and in isolation (helps that as I don't live in the US I don't have to buy-in to either side's bullshit proponents). I don't know about the "free thinker" speech here, Finn. We live inside a system that is made by governments. Each side has it's views. I'm from Brasil and well, maybe in USA is more commom to think that the government is whatever and have a more liberal pov but here there are a lot of people that needs to have assistance and the cities and states also need maintenance. You need to know who aligns the most with what you think as a person and with what you think it's better for the population. The thing is that people are always worried about arguing in the internet and calling each other names and, as you said, keep neglecting the real problems that we should try to solve as a society.
I don't think he's saying that caring about things is uncool, just that it shouldn't be a sports team where you support everything a politician does because it's "your side" and you are constantly enraged by minor things that the "other side" does just because they didn't vote the same way as you. Or worse, strawmanning the opposition by calling everything you don't like *insert buzzword here* to the point it's meaningless.

The only form of equality that’s compatible with freedom is equal rights. Every other form of equality works in contrast to freedom. The result of freedom is always a bell curve, the opposite of equal distribution.
Unfortunately it probably takes someones that has taken at least one statistic course to understand what you said and since stats is usually a university level course and very few people take stats unless they are forced, it's likely that your comment will be ignored by many :(
freedom to suffer isn't freedom, thats just a package used to enable people to feel okay with their apathy towards others. Its funny when your comment gets perceived as academic when academic fields (economics, sociology, politics, law, psychology - but primarily philosophy) which study the theory of freedom identify two components 'positive' and 'negative' freedom. AKA. I am not allowed to do something vs i am unable to do something. If i am not allowed water vs its impossible for me to get water, my restriction on freedom (and death) are the same. Of cause there will be different outcomes for different people, but that doesn't mean it isnt worthwhile for society to minimize them where they are able to. Also like, equal rights are never applied equally, thats an observable, material statistic of reality.

I like how rap is full of lyrics about deleting people and committing crimes but it's the dude rapping about politics that upsets everyone. I'd never heard one of his songs before though I've heard of him. It was actually better then I expected. Not something I'd listen to but catchy enough. Ben can't rap at all though.

@luke5100 I don't even think his voice is good honestly. Even if he said everything I agreed with, it would still be mediocre at best. It's kind of like a dollar store version of twenty one pilots rap rock. He can rap pretty fast, which is a plus for modern rappers, but it doesn't have the emotion or energy to convince me he really cares or he's really serious.

@@BrandonHeat243 You should make a distinction between Mainstream Right (the Jew Ben Shapiro and his approved staff) and Dissident Right (Fuentes, Anglin, etc). Then again, Fuentes and Anglin don't even want Jews wiped off the Earth, they just want Jews to not have positions of power in our Western countries. Sounds pretty reasonable to me!
