Stevie is so good, that you didn't even notice when he busted one of the guitar strings, while he was playing his solo. He was flawless, in using other strings to hit the notes that he would have played on the string that he busted. He is "the Master."
He recorded the album "Live Alive" while at the height of his addictions. They had to use loads of editing in order to get something that sounded coherent. Stevie was a total mess at that point. Booze and drugs didn't help his playing at all.
Thanks, Taylor Fam.. one of my favorites.. featuring Reese Wynans on keys, and of course the incredible guitar switch after breaking a string (which, of course, is not very easy to catch, b/c he never misses a note...) appreciate your reaction..
Love SRV!!! For me he is number1!! Best guitarist I have ever heard!!❤❤❤❤❤ Please don't wait another year to react to his performances. He has so many great ones like Life Without You at The Capital, Tin Pan Alley with Johnny Copeland, Little Wing at The El Macambo, and so much more!!
Just wait till you hear his rendition of “Mary had a little lamb,” where he introduces on a mind blowing solo Reese Wayan, a monster on the keyboard. Make sure it’s live at Austin City Lights, while in concert in the same attire, Magnificent, and the band is out of this world!
Oh wow! I’ve been watching your vids for a year now. IMO he is #1. I think I’m in the majority on this. He plays authentic Texas Blues. ZZ Top nails it too. It’s a high energy raunchy blues/rock. SRV is a legend and GOAT. He was a humble and unbelievably talented man.
Oh, I almost forgot. Here's a must watch by Stevie Ray, Stevie Ray Vaughan - Texas Flood (Live at the El Mocambo). This one will blow your mind. Great reactions!
I read an interview that SRV gave. It was very technical and I didnt understand a lot of it, but I just couldn't put it down. It was pretty lengthy but i would definitely recommend it to anyone, especially those who understand all the technical parts. He's one of, if not the greatest guitar player ever. Thank you for the best reactions on UA-cam today. I love watching you. Pleaae keep doing what you do sweetie!
A year?! I'd fade away if went a year without Stevie Ray. Your reaction is mine, he's incredible. Remarkable, I think. It's not only his playing and singing, it's the way his music makes you feel. And that never changes. Try Mary had a Little Lamb, same show. ☮️
One of the GOATs of guitar!! A Legend!!!! Did you notice he had a broken string, which was why he switched guitars mid song!! Wow! You need to check out SRV and Jeff Healey, another amazing guitarist, who is blind, but another GOAT!❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
This performance was exceptional, however, you should watch Jeff Healey and Stevie Ray Vaughan, " Look at Little Sister ". Same song, completely different version. Stevie Ray never played a song the same way twice. Jeff Healey was blind and he will astound you in that performance. 👌
I have never seen or heard a better guitarist. Even Eric Clapton said "Who is this guy???? and I NEED to meet him today!!!!" And, he did. Eric is a great guitarist, but SRV is King. I was fortunate enough to be able to hear him from his first album, and I own every one to this day. A tear rolled down my cheek the day the helicopter crashed. There will never be another like him.
Every guitar player brings something unique to the stage. Clapton is fantastic and has decades of great guitar work. David Gilmour, Eddie Van Halen, Jimmy Page, Gary Moore, and of course Jimi Hendrix. But Stevie brings the emotion and musical connection to the listener that no other was really able to do on a consistent basis. He was a channel. An open vessel that never seemed to be empty. By far, to me anyway, he is the best ever. Try to watch his more Blues type of songs. "Ain't Gone and Given Up On Love" is a personal favorite. The one from the Capital Theater is great. But you can pick most anything by Stevie and walk away amazed at what you just watched.
SRV is great‼️ I have a bunch of his CDs and DVDs and a book about him. Too bad his life was cut short so young and after he had gotten clean and in such an awful way (Helicopter Crash in Wisconsin. His brother, Jimmy, played guitar too. He played with the Fabulous Thunderbirds. And he played occasionally with Stevie too. And isn’t that something how SRV broke a string and didn’t even skip a beat while his guitar was switched up. To me, there was nobody better than Stevie Ray Vaughan!!! Great reaction 👩🏻🏫👏🏻🥰‼️
Great reaction. He's one of the greatest ever. Would you please react to Gene Watson? He's a great country music artist. His 2 greatest songs are Farewell Party and Love In The Hot Afternoon. They were both huge hits for him in the 70s.
Stevie was definitely Top Tier without a doubt I don't know if you realized it or not, but when he changed guitars in the middle of the song it's because he broke a string. Like the true professional that he was he never missed a note even when he got his hands on the other guitar. Run it back and watch it again and you'll see the string floating. You asked for another Top Tier player so I'm going to send you this one. Classical Gas [Mason Williams] | Tommy Emmanuel. He does things with a guitar that I've never seen anyone else do. I think you'll really enjoy it. Have a great day!
Fun fact.. keyboardist Reece Wynans, is alive today, and now plays with Joe Bonamassa.. Check out " Going Down" live from Joe Bonamassa , at the Greek theatre...Reece years the color off the keys. ❤ From across the Pond!
I won't get into who is better but another guitarist you should listen to is Joe Bonamassa. He's an absolutely fantastic man playing a guitar although he is known more as a blues player.
Check out 3rd Stone from the Sun. Live at Festival. MIND BLOWER! YA'LL GOT YOUR WARNIN'. ❤❤ STEVIE IS THE BEST GUITAR PLAYER ON THE FACE OF THE PLANET!!BAR NONE!! ❤❤❤❤
SRV is my #1. My GOAT. What separates him from the rest of my top 10 is the emotion with which he plays. As good as J. Hendricks, Eddie Van Halen, J. Paige, M Knopfler, Santana, etc., etc. may be, no one else can mesmerize me when I watch them perform like SRV does. He can do it all at a masters level and thats why he's my #1.
Thank you for the reaction. You may consider giving "Cold Shot" a listen. Better is very subjective when discussing guitarist. You need to separate them by the genre they are preforming in. In regards to Blues Rock, SRV is one of the best. Personally I am very fond of Robin Trower in this genre as well. RT has more of a Jimi Hendrix vibe in is style of playing. Another one of my favorite guitarist would be Carlos Santana.
I really like you reaction on songs I ran across this song today I'm a big George Jones fan was wondering what your take on it it's called !Tell me my Lying eyes are wrong 😢
Personally I rank him close to Hendrix, close because Hendrix was a total pioneer. Clapton maybe, def up there with the big boys. Everyone including Clapton who was a friend of Stevie and shared the same stage together said of him that he was so accurate in his playing. Def a monster as you said. btw another close contender was Terry Kath from Chicago, formerly CTA, Chicago Transit Authority
I guess everyone is aware that he busted a string. I'm not saying anything that everyone hasn't noticed, but did the guitar tech notice it, or did SRV somehow convey it. I'm really confused on how seamless it was. I'm going to watch this fifty times.
Stevie is so good, that you didn't even notice when he busted one of the guitar strings, while he was playing his solo. He was flawless, in using other strings to hit the notes that he would have played on the string that he busted. He is "the Master."
And switched guitars without missing a beat!
And amazingly, he’s breaking 13s!
@@dixie3086 part of that sequence was dubbed in post production.
@@deanrobinson2459actually, it was a live broadcast.
Yea, Mr. Taylor is not too astute.. ♠Mr.G..
"Pride and Joy" is one of my favorites of SRV!
In my humble opinion he is the greatest ever. Busted a string and didn’t miss a beat
Next you must do his version of Texas Flood live at El Mocambo!!!!!!!
You are not ready!!!
Amen to that Brother!
Definitely. To understand the sheer talent SRV has, that’s a must see.
Amen!
Most definitely a peak level musician. RIP
2 must views:
Texas Flood, live at El Mocambo and Life Without You, live at Capitol theater.
Lots of great guitarists in history. Stevie Ray is the best.
Stevie is the greatest ever. Even when he was seriously addicted to alcohol and drugs, he never missed a note. There will never be another SRV.
Maybe that's WHY he ''never missed a note.'' Let's not be Puritans here.
He recorded the album "Live Alive" while at the height of his addictions. They had to use loads of editing in order to get something that sounded coherent. Stevie was a total mess at that point. Booze and drugs didn't help his playing at all.
#1! No comparison!❤️
SRV was a master at his craft.
Another soul lost far too soon.
Please do more reactions of him!
Brother you GOTSTA check out, Texas Flood live at El Macombo... Please! It will hit you in places you didn't even know you had. Spread the love 🐶😎🇺🇸
Stevie is my personal favorite guitarist, so for me, he is #1! So sad to have lost him in 1990 (helicopter crash)!
This has that classic 50's rock feel.
Thanks, Taylor Fam.. one of my favorites.. featuring Reese Wynans on keys, and of course the incredible guitar switch after breaking a string (which, of course, is not very easy to catch, b/c he never misses a note...) appreciate your reaction..
"Mary Had a Little Lamb" and "Texas Flood"! Bluesy jams through and through! 💗😎😎😎
NASCAR pit crews study this video to know what smooth, fast teamwork is.
I.listened to Stevie nightly with my first son...he was born a musician. Little fella was listening well!
Just wait till you hear his rendition of “Mary had a little lamb,” where he introduces on a mind blowing solo Reese Wayan, a monster on the keyboard. Make sure it’s live at Austin City Lights, while in concert in the same attire, Magnificent, and the band is out of this world!
Try this one with Jeff Healey joining him
That little moonwalk/shuffle he does is SO DAMN COOL
Stevie Ray was and is #1 for me.
He is awesome. Love many of his songs.
SRV is my #1 favorite. Texas Flood, If the house is Rockin, Crossfire just to name a few of his songs.
TOPS .ONE OF THE BEST!!.
Check out "Look at Little Sister" with Stevie Ray Vaughan and Jeff Healey. Two of the greatest!
As tight a band as you will ever find. Perfection.
Srv will always be the goat, a must see is "life without you "at the capital theater !! Great reaction sir. Thanks 🙏
RIP! Imagine the music we would've had if he'd lived on! Gone way to soon!
BB King in an interview with Guitar World said 'Stevie was one of the best guitar players to ever come along'.
Life without you...capital theater...you'll love his guitar tricks and is a beautiful song that he wrote of course anything from srv😅
Oh, I almost forgot. Here's a must watch by Stevie Ray, Stevie Ray Vaughan - Texas Flood (Live at the El Mocambo). This one will blow your mind. Great reactions!
SRV is number 1 in my opinion ❤️
Amen Connie👋💙🎸🎶💙
Life by the Drop, is a must. Just think of all the amazing music he could of made if only he wasn't tragically killed RIP Mr. Vaughn.
I read an interview that SRV gave. It was very technical and I didnt understand a lot of it, but I just couldn't put it down. He is beyond doubt the GOAT. The greatest of all time
He's my #1.....nobody even close for me anyway...Stevie brings soul and emotion into his music like no other!

I highly recommend Life Without You at the Capital theatre in Passaic NJ. It's his best vocal a great solo and a wonderful message. It's my favorite.
Great reaction. He's one of the greatest ever. Would you please react to Gene Watson? He's a great country music artist. His 2 greatest songs are Farewell Party and Love In The Hot Afternoon. They were both huge hits for him in the 70s.
Imo SRV is the 🎸🐐

Miss his music, taken too soon from us.
SRV is my #1. My GOAT. What separates him from the rest of my top 10 is the emotion with which he plays. As good as J. Hendricks, Eddie Van Halen, J. The GOAT
There is no one better.
Check out SRV “pride and Joy”
HOLA ESTIMADO AQUI ROMPIO UNA CUERDA DE SU GUITARRA. SI ESTA EN EL TOP DE GUITARRISTAS JUNTO CON ENDRIX Y PACO DE LUCIA.
I miss Stevie so bad.
I have a strat that looks just like the one he was handed after he broke a string.
Like changing a guitar string at the Indy 500.
My personal opinion SRV is number one,
Greatest
Of
All
Time
GOAT

If you want to see a man at one with his instrument Lenny at Club Macombo.
One of my post was deleted. I have no idea why. This is not the place for me.
You need to do Texas blood
Personally I rank him close to Hendrix, close because Hendrix was a total pioneer. Clapton maybe, def up there with the big boys. Will answer your question on top guitarist
I guess everyone is aware that he busted a string. I'm not saying anything that everyone hasn't noticed, but did the guitar tech notice it, or did SRV somehow convey it. I'm really confused on how seamless it was. I'm going to watch this fifty times.
GARY MOORE! GARY MOORE! He and Stevie are TIEDfor the top spot, THE MESSIAH WILL COME AGAIN BY GARY MOORE
He broke a string that is why the guitare change.
Stevie is the greatest guitarist ever n my opinion but David Gilmour from pink floyd comes n second!!
