this is honestly one of the cutest and most wholesome things i've seen, he's got such a good sense of humor. I can't watch these videos without smiling at someone's forays into beekeeping

I use these Paradise hives and they are superb. They outperform the timber hives in every way. I use plain PVA glue when assembling and you only need to paint the outsides.

The bees will glue them themselves, won't they?
I know I'm tuning in a wee bit late, but I love what I'm seeing, so you might hear from me as I try to go along from the beginning. 💚☘

    Love ya work mate!
I’m also a big fan of the poly hives, they outperform my others hands down.

You could create and print some QR codes and then tag those to a database page for each hive, you can then scan them with your phone and write your hive notes for each hive.
I used to make my own wooden boxes and frames until the price of wood in the UK shot through the ceiling.
I now buy plastic frames and foundation for my wooden frames, I am looking for an alternative hive as I am running low on my stock of wooden boxes, I may get some of these polystyrene ones.
What type of Crown board did you end up using?

    Thanks for another great video!
Do you close the screen bottom board for winter with those hives ? What about ventilation ?
I actually use the white board as a hive mat as it fits in the lid perfectly!

Can you show us glue closely? what kind of paint do you use? Some types of paint are very bad for bees...
The brand name and color code of the paint, please? It is so lovely that color!

the Paradise hives dont need to be painted on the inside. very organic these hives as they are inert and don't out gas solvents.

Many thanks, been searching for "beehive construction details" for a while now, and I think this has helped. Have you ever come across - Tiyia Beehive Basophilic - (should be on google have a look ) ? Ive heard some unbelievable things about it and my neighbour got excellent success with it.
