    Good design on the brood chamber and base to reduce weight. Also save on different moulds required.

    Ive been thinking building something similar to that, but cant afford your molds. I wonder what is the perlite cement ratio? Do you use other ingredients? Does it insulate heat well?

    no future: concrete has a hefty CO2 footprint -- wood is all better (co2 storage, humidity control, heat storage, insulation)

      Only useful perhaps in countries where you have lots of theft and/or animals knocking em over.
      Can't imagine working a hive of 20+ of these though. Would be horror on the back.
