  • A quick review of Tamiya's Anti-Static Model Cleaning Brush. I have a real dust problem and this seems to be the answer. A great bit of kit and worth every penny in my opinoin!
This was first aired on March's News Show...

Somehow I would like to see some DIY scale modeling tool videos. Still nice of you to bring this Tamiya product to our attention.

Wow! that's something great. I found this brush very helpful, think when you move in to competition and after the trip you find small pices of dust...this is perfect !!!.
    Thx for the review!

I just ordered on of these. And when I order something always watch a review or two. And when I saw yours I thought you were full of crap when you said you can barely feel it when you brushed it across your palm. I got it in the mail and tried it. So I apologize for thinking that you are 100% correct. It is that soft you can barely feel it.

Hello. Could you please give us a feedback on how this brush performed in these 2+ years?
Does it really worth it's price? Many thanks in advance!

Lee, thanks for sharing this find! I'm keeping my builds-in-progress in resealable take-out containers, but that won't work for completed models. I'd like to get one of these, but here's my question: at GBP 18.00 / USD 30, that is an expensive brush - so, how long does it retain its anti-static properties before it has to be replaced? Or, is that a non-issue?

I'n not sure David, I would imagine for as long as the brush lasts. it is expensive, but worth to me.

How do you clean the brush itself? Do you clean the anti-static brush itself too or just the small one

Yes this brush is wery nice, but the best way to remove dust from a surface that you are going to paint is simply blow the dust away with the air from youre airbrush.

That is a mighty expensive brush at just under 30 USD.

Lee's tickle stick, you kinky sod, LOL. That paint brush you were using looks a bit brutal for cleaning models think you made a good investment. Can you not adjust the hinges on the cabinet doors to close the gap? Have a look at the hinges mate you might be able to sort the problem out.

lol - Hey bud, nope I've tried everything on the cabinet, it's a real PITA. Kind of defeats the whole object of having a cabinet!
