Thank you! The fishing line being thinner makes it easier to split the sections. I used to use all sinew but found the smaller mandala sections really hard to split well.
It depends on temperature and each color is different. I've noticed yellow, orange, and some greens go bad faster. But I usually try to use the dye within 3 days to make sure I'm covered but I have used dyes a week later. You can keep them in a fridge to increase the life as well. Ludigol is also used for this too, but I don't have any experience with ludigol. Thank you for checking it out!
Thank you so much!! I put it on 4 on my stove, so I'd say medium low and no it doesn't! In my experience, I've gotten shrinking from drying on to high of heat so I hang dry all of my shirts to avoid it!
@@TrippyThreadsTieDyeso just dye on a dry shirt then add the soda ash after the dye? What is the benefit of that? Also, how does the temp of the soda ash mixture affect the dye (besides cure time)? Thank you!! Great outcome on this one; im going to attempt a mandala in my next session.
Awesome!
That's a very concentrated soda ash solution. Thanks for sharing.
Yes it really helps the vibrancy of the shirts!
Wow, that came out awesome! I like your techniques.
Thanks, I'm glad you liked them!
That is amazing, I'm getting one!
Thank you!!
Wow! So cool and it actually didn't look to hard. Might be saying something different when I try it haha.
I definitely try to make it as easy as possible! Repetitions are definitely the key! I hope it helps!
Amazing!
Thank you! I hope it was helpful!
Love the color combo! 🔥
Thank you!!
Thanks for all the great tips. Beautiful shirt.
Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed it! I hope it helps!
Thanks for the great video. Why do you switch from sinew and start using fishing line?

How long is the dye good for once mixed up? Thanks for the tutorial!

Wonderful design and thank you for the pointers! What temp do you let the shirt sit on the stove at? Does this cause it to shrink?

@@TrippyThreadsTieDye good to know!!
Nice work! Do you soak and dye wet or dry after soaking in soda ash?
Thank you!! No presoak for me at all actually. I just apply Soda Ash after dying!
