This was so helpful! I am taking a logic class for college online, but I was not understanding what they were telling me! Now I have no problem, because you broke it down so well!
Anna should go in the math circle for sure since she is both a math teacher and loves chocolate. It doesn't make sense to put her outside the math circle when she is a math teacher. Shame that basic reasoning is overlooked by examiners.
@@syedasad4640 no ANNA just love chocolates but the statement saying she's a math teacher is the conclusion part that can either be true or false. SO anna loving chocolates doesn't guarantee that she's a math teacher.
Right, the conclusion part isn't part of the instructions. Basically, it's made up by the reader. It's a given conclusion telling you what you think, based off the story given. So therefore it's not fact
Okay so rewatching the video the example was "All math teachers love chocolate, Anna loves chocolate, therefore she's a math teacher" which is indeed not a valid argument. Problem is is that therefore wasn't written, it was written "Anna is a math teacher." Guess a different basic was missed in this video.
You just summed up in 4 minutes what my professor was talking about for an hour. THANK YOU VERY MUCH
My thoughts exactly!
REALLY HELPED!! I am a college student taking a Foundations of Math class and this is a huge improvement from my instruction! Thanks!!!!!!
teachers need to start playing videos on youtube because that’s where i get all of my useful information 😭

thank you so much. it's very understandable after I watched this video. Humanity needs people like you :)
Beautifully explained! Thank you
Thanks sooo much! I had so much trouble figuring this out. You are magical!
How does one determine what goes in and out of the circle?
Thank you so much for this explanation! I was having a hard time grasping this...

Yeah that is also my point because there it is confirmed that anna is a math teacher and she loves chocolates so why she put her outside the circle
