This makes me wish that there was a hydrogen calculator that you could input how many hydrogen thrusters and engines you have it would show you how many 02H2 generators you needed and how much ice you would need to keep it going. Thanks for making the video cause I, a somewhat experienced player, barely know how the system works myself!

Question do you need a battery to run a hygen engine?

Correct me if im wrong but i think h2/o2 generator need to be directly connected to tank to fill it , mine didn't fill with conveyors

Any port will do as long as the piping isn't damaged or you run out of ice.

It's up to you ultimately. You could use a engine to charge your batteries when you mine ice.

Hydrogen truster are hard to keep flying, need a lot ice but is very good,

For small ships ion and atmospheric are superior imo, but for capitals, especially for bulk transport or moving entire stations, hydrogen is king (you can always mix some hydrogen into a build for a boost when needed).
You have an entire moon made of ice to farm with no atmosphere.

ok so i made a ship on the earth planet and its running but how do i make it more efficient because it can only run for maybe 5 mins

if it's hydrogen you'll need more tanks.
planets are hard to live on due to high gravity. Increases fuel consumption by 4xtimes compared to moons.

im in survival and all ive got to choose from in the G menu is Large atmospheric thrusters and no hydrogen thrusters....am i missing some thing

You haven't progressed through the tech tree yet. first build a h2/o2 gen.
