PSA: Turn off hydrogen thrusters when not in use. They still draw fuel even if the craft is supported by a connector or landing gear.

If you put a medium cargo at the back of the ship, after the hydrogen tank, you can have 4 braking thrusters coming off the large thruster cluster.
If you put a junction between each drill you can add two more breaking thrusters

I'd have put an O2 tank underneath the cockpit and filled it for free on planet using a vent. Plus a camera to check distant asteroids for dark patches
If update didnt changed it , /multiple / small grid small hydrogen tank can store 8-10% more gas then a small grid large tank in the same amount of grid space used .
Between the H2/O2 gen AND the O2 the cockpit can store I rarely need a O2 tank on small grid. My next space-only H2 powered miner may be built with the small H2 tanks. After all you really only need a buffer between the generator and the thrusters for heavy use.
I know this is a tutorial for US, but if you wanted the upwards hydrogen thruster or small oxygen tank under the cockpit, you could have waited to disconnect the ship from the scaffold and then raised the ship up to place either one of those.
Nice videos :D. Can you do a challenge in the future: no ship building. You can only buy your ships and build stations.
Was thinking you might want to build a connector and a wind turbine on that platform you're building that ship on. That way when you're ready to disconnect from that landing gear, you can hook up to the connector and charge your battery from the turbine. Just a suggestion you should also check the power requirements on those atmospheric thrusters, I've built many a ship only to see it crash and burn because the thrusters didn't have enough power.
I built one and needed two o2 gens to keep up with the thrusters and had to reduce the amount of thrusters so I didn’t run out of hydrogen it was hard to find the right balance

It doesn't matter if you play on PC or XBOX, physics and components in Space Engineers are the same.

I can't figure out how to pan the camera around in third person. I've tried every button combo I can think of. It just stays in the fixed position. One thing this game falls short on is descriptions of parts and button options are not explained well for some things
EDIT: anyone else having this issue hold in both bumpers and use analog sticks to look around \ zoom in an out

Are you using a PC with a Xbox controller? You make great tutorials but some content won't actually work on Xbox as the console version hasn't caught up with PC yet.
Instead conveyor you could use large cargo container, it has 3 big ports in the same positions, just no small ports.

space engineers is better can make anything where in eve its all pre made and can only change attachments and can build your own stations and bases too

I think this build was too spontaneous for a tutorial. You placed the landinggear so its not possible to reach the connector anymore. You better come up with a premade design, because it would be flawless and easier/faster to show.
