Up.
That deep orange finish on the paint and clear coat was the best I've seen on a restored vise anywhere. Nice job!
Hi friend, it was excellent. Hug from Brazil.
Thank you very much buddy it's very kind ❤
That was a bad ass restoration. I've never seen a vice restored like that. Good choice on the Orange color.
i'm really grateful that you say so 😊 Thank you very much 😊
Wonderful restoration 👏 👍 🤝
Thank you very much my friend 😊👍
looks like a brand new sports car!
beautiful and functional
I really love that comment thank you for that vision ❤ thank you for your feedback and support 😊
You've made it too pretty to be used again. If I were you, I'd keep it on a shelf to admire it... safe, away from harm. 😆
I am very pleased that you write like this 😄👍 thank you very much buddy
Nice work and beautiful makro video detail. 👍
Thank you very much i really appreciate that 😊
Thank you for your support and comment 🤗
I like the way you filed the parts that needed leveling and sanding. also using the grinding. Great color and excellent method in painting. I learned, thanks.
Well done, sir.
Thank you very much, it is my pleasure 😊
WoW, ni nuevo es tan nuevo ni tan bonito! Precioso color, me encanta!!

You are most welcome my friend 🙌👏😃 🤗
nhìn như mới vậy, bạn có tài năng siêu thường ngưỡng mộ bạn quá 🥰👍👍👍👍
Thank you, thank you, thank you 🥰
That probably looks better than when it was new. A really rough casting and very battered brought back from the brink. Great job love the colour and a great video. A bit of everything going on in there! 👍
I'm really happy that you like that video and my work ❤ thank you very much for your support 😊
I’m just waiting for the day that someone builds a penetrating oil trap door. Just pull the string and it rains oil on the work piece. Amazing visuals.
😄👍 that could be awesome
That paint job is next level! 🔥
Thank you very much Buddy ❤️😊
That's a great media blaster you have. Great job.
Thank you very much 😊
BRAVO!! F-ing amazing!

I am doing everything in my power to equip my workshop with all the necessary things, so maybe soon there will be other necessary things to restoration 🤗
Fair comment mate. The paint job on that vice is better than the one on my car.
You should give my your car for painting 😄
Thank you very much for such a comment
Lovely - subscribed, liked and notified.

😊 Thank you very much and im glad that you liked it 🤗
Your just crazy good! Looks awesome! 👍
Thank you very much V 😊
That is the most powerful sandblaster I have ever seen!
well, I think a good compressor and a strong abrasive contribute to the power of the sandblaster, but yea it's pretty good for this job 😊
I wanna thank you for comment buddy that help me with my channel 😊
No worries, you do great work! Your channel should grow in no time. Subscribed!

Awesome job, must have auto body background, couldn't believe it when i saw you using guide coat on the primer haha.
Thank you very much buddy it's awesome to read comment like that. Thank you very much ❤
Nice work - Looks awesome
Thank you buddy 😄
Outstanding!
THANK YOU 🥳🥳
Ready for the museum, to show the next generation what a vise looks like ...
yes for sure 😄👍thank you for that 🥳
Looks great! I would have to put something that pretty on a shelf. My vise tends to get a few work scars. Enjoyed it!
I am very happy that you liked it, I would also prefer to put this vice on the shelf but thanks to these aluminum jaws it will be very useful to me 😊
I also thank you for support 😊
Wow. You got my subscription.
Thank you very much 🤗 i hope you stay for a long Time here 😊
Wanderful sand blasting
Thank you 😊
Excellent work to restore the old vise to better than new condition. Pretty enough for a fantasy workshop.
Wow thank you very much i'm really happy that you write so 😊
I'm appreciate your support and comment, thank you 😊
You have created a museum piece from a poor quality worn relic. Excellent work. Do you dare use it now?
Thank you so much ❤ I will use it for delicate things like wood 😉
wow looks amazing
Thank you buddy 🤗
Your feedback and support really helps me ❤
nice,nice !!! 😎😎😎
Thank you 😊👍i appreciate that🥳
Beautifully done!
Thank you 🤗
Very nice work but I can't see how that vise will be practical
I have two normal vices, and the third one will be very useful when I have to work something wooden, for example a hammer or ax handle 😊
very nice !!
Thank you 😊😊
Great job , just found channel and new subscriber!!!!!
Thank you very much for the kind words, I am very happy about it 😊
And merry christmas to you Buddy 😊
Beautiful job!
I really appreciate it! Thank you very much buddy 🤗
Beautiful restoration but like to know is it going to be a mantle peace or is it going to be used
I will use it for wood or for parts that are fragile 😊 thank you for your feedback and support 😊
Sorry now I understand 🤣😃
@@tombarlow6176 😄👍
Great job, man; sure me and my sons will be watching your videos.
Nice, very nice color the one you chose for this vice.
Warm regards from Mexico.
Im very happy that you say so, thank you very much that mean a lot to me. Yes it's true this color is special 😊
Thank you very much for your support and have nice watching my other videos 🤗
Very nice and love the color!🔥👍
😁🥳 thank you very much i love that color 2
First I was like: this cleaned very nice, this guy click baited me. Once you started sandblasting, I was like: 😬
Btw, that was the most satisfying sandblasting I've ever seen, ever. Congrats on the work, would not be my color of choice, but still an absolutely perfect piece. I would never use it, just let it stand proudly on my bench.
Hah 😄 im very grateful for your comment, cause for People like you i make my channel 😊 thank you very much
Would’ve liked it more if u used the original handle the metal one but nice video
The handle is made of metal, the caps themselves are made of aluminum 😊
it's so beautiful that it's a pity to use it
I think so too, but I will use it for delicate things 😊👍
Todo está muy bien, excepto la pasta. El tornillo de banco es una herramienta de uso rudo, no es de exiibicion!
Good as gold now. to stay SICK is to be SICK ~
Right 😄
Thank you 👍
下次嘗試加1些【背景音樂】吧!😆😁😄
😄 haha
pretty
Thank you Russell for your support 😊
I just subbed and well done on the vise. Utter basket case and Used more bondo than id bet id ever will on my truck but you pulled through with stunning results. For me though seeing the shape of that would give me the pinch almost like karma has me like in a vice. Ok maybe my jokes are not great but least they hold together and clamp on my mind its one of my biggest "vices" to make punny jokes which honestly full of holes. Time to weld it up!. My nickname is my screen name and as being a furry and big sonic fan its my sona/fc name. Sorry for being long winded.
Actually that joke was funny buddy 😊
Thank you so much for taking the time to comment and subscribing to this channel and I hope that you stay for long time 😊

Well what to say 🤔. The result is speaking for itself, it's perfect. Started as a bad and well used casting to this remarkable.
Thank you very much it's great to read comment like that ❤
What solvent works best for removing the grease and grime?
Im using first hot water and soap an second "nitro" and it works pretty good. Thank you for comment buddy 😊
@@customrestoration5317 thank you! I liked and subscribed as well!
Looks too mice to use. Great job.
Thank you very much 😊
🥰🥰🥰👍👍👍👍
☺️👍
Great beautiful job, but I just don't agree with those aluminum jaws. Always have seen hard steel used.
Thank you very much it's very kind 😊
Yes it's true but this vise im using for wood like wooden handles or some kind of elements, at the end of the video I show how this vice works, i.e. you can grasp the wood very tightly and the jaws will not damage our wood 😊
@@customrestoration5317 Thanks, and again a great job.😀
Прикола не понимаю я. Сначала отмывать а потом под пескоструй. Лишние заморочки
the point is that the vice out and in it have grease, which very quickly consumes the abrasive and sticks them together, which at a later stage may lead to clogging of the nozzle in the sandblaster, in extreme cases, even damage it 😊
I wonder why you didn’t fix up the inside of the Vice. Could have filed it smooth.
The casting was crooked and I could not insert it into the milling machine and while filing with a file I could lose the dimensions of parts of the vice so that they did not fit together 😕
@@customrestoration5317 ah i didn’t realize the pitting was that deep. Makes sense. I should say though, that’s the best paint job I’ve seen on UA-cam.
@@MisterRorschach90 thank you very much it's very kind 😊
Comment
I see 😊
Had to stop this video. Mig welding to a cast iron vise…yeah that doesn’t ever work well(note when milling you can see all the cast iron dust). Chances are it went from here to worse so I stopped. I know he put a fair amount of work into it but I just had to stop.
If it is not in accordance with the art, I apologize, but I have seen a dozen of videos about how people weld cast iron using the MIG method after preheating the element.
@@customrestoration5317 cast iron is a porous material with lots of graphite in it. You can only braze it with either oxy acetalene, tig ,or arc. Mig is for welding steel or tin. I’ve tried different wires, gases and whatnot. It does not hold.
There is a rare method for fixing cast iron of forge welding but that is pretty darn hard to do. Bring whole piece up to just below melting point, mix in filler material, and . Some train rapids do it.slowly cool for a day or so.
On a vise like this I would have either left it or used turkite.
@@jacilynns6330 You know, I am not that familiar with this topic yet, but I think that every day I will be able to restore better and more professionally. Nevertheless, thank you very much for this comment because thanks to it I will already know what to do if I have to weld cast iron again 😊
@@customrestoration5317 I’ve repaired my share of vises over the years and done a lot of welding. Don’t get me wrong you put a lot of effort into doing as good a job as you could. The presentation was good. For future reference, cast iron is porous so is old steel and tin. They soak up oils and these do not wash out. You have to use the flame from a propane torch to bleed it out if you want anything to stick. You will see the water and oils pop right out as soon as you put the flame too it, just wipe up with paper towel and move to another spot till your done.
@@jacilynns6330 I really understand everything and I think you also understand that I do not deal with it professionally, I just took an example from other people and I succeeded, I hope that using this vise nothing will happen to him because as you mentioned I put a lot of work into it. Thank you very much for your advice and I invite you to watch other videos if you want of course 😊👍
Nice colour, everyone always goes blue 😂👍
