Inside the abbey of San Galgano with drone

The Abbey of San Galgano, located in the municipality of Chiusdino, in the province of Siena, was built in 1200 by monks of the Cistercian order. A century later, following a very serious plague epidemic that decimated the monastic population, the decline began. The lack of a roof is today the characteristic that distinguishes the Abbey of San Galgano, which makes it a particularly evocative place.
