Also because it is just going to be a streaming hub ps6 games will most likely also be supported . If they do it right they can smack the hell out of the market the next few years .

I may purchase a PS5 Pro on the back of this (Sold my OG PS5 a while back as I was rarely using it).
Can one person play on the portal while the other person plays on the PS5 together? Like when you play Spider-Man 2 and you can game share with different accounts can you do that?
If you want a device that can play AAA titles, the device need powerful processor, larger battery, more ram, better cooling, which means the device will be significantly hotter, heavier, bulkier, expensiver, and louder with lower battery life.
Devices that can natively play some of these AAA PS5 games at 1080 60fps are like £1,000 lol. My Legion Go was £700 and can’t natively play stuff as well as I can stream games on my portal.
@ literally. I own a Msi zepherys 15 and a steam deck… but none of them look polished like my portal… and the dual sense is amazing with it… and eh I think the ps streaming app is locked at 720p on other platforms if I’m not mistaken
Thanks everyone for the answers & input, the same day of this video, Thursday if I'm not mistaken, I did go out & get a PS Portal & can confirm the initial setup WITH the cloud gaming capabilities, does not need a PS5, at all. Yes, I did just simply purchase a one month membership for PS+ Premium, to give it a try & added it using the PlayStation mobile app.
yeah its awesome. The weird thing that with my wifi which is 200mbps when i go into gta5 i get server down but with my 5g hotspot i can get online. Weird huh?
So its a select choice if games i can play and the list has none of them not to mention still needing a subscription they really dropped the ball with this one... I will not be picking this product up. I'll stick to my steam deck.
@@MainCaveThis update is a joke this feature should have been implemented and this update is when they should be releasing the ability to download games on it or the ability to play any game i own without needing to boot up my console. Get a steam deck even the LCD version is around 250.

This has been in development for over a year
Sadly it doesn’t have the multiplayer games that fans would like to play instead of being handed certain games
It does. Streaming is an added bonus. Hence why it’s selling so well.
Steaming is still beta. Gonna get so much better.

It’s a no Brainer to re release this console with the ability to download games for an extra cost… the ps portal only has 6gb of memory as of now

Maybe one day. But having the option of games on a PS5 and the catalogue of over 100 games is a step in the right direction.

That’s dependant on so many variables. Signal, network provider, phone. I will be testing it for my set soon

Sorry. No. It throws you out as you’re logged in as the same ps account. May be a work around using offline play on ps5

No. Only games in the catalogue for streaming. You can use Fortnite but you’d have to stream from your PS5
