No way, if you had the same rider on both bikes a supersport would kill the MT01 around a track. I think the rider in this video has some great skills and is able to make the MT01 look great around the track. Good video!
Are you on drugs? An R1 would absolutely destroy the MT-01 in a straight line - heck search for the youtube video where a lowly Hornet 600 destroys a MT-01 and they're one of the slowest four cylinder 600s out there! Don't get me wrong I like MT-01s for their character - but fast they definitely are not!

haha i am a mt01 owner too, but as a driver u never hear it from the back. now i realize what a pity it is. fuck what a noise! sounds like an old army plane or so :-) haha.
+Marko M you know nothing about bikes,right? the mt 01 is a heavy bike with lean limits due it's size.you have to help it steer by putting your weight on the inside of the turn...cheers mate
