My review of a relatively new brand of Cognac to emerge on the shelves of my local liquor store. ABK6 Single Estate VSOP Cognac is my review for this week.
Nice review! Have you thought about maybe doing some Armagnac reviews? Would love to hear your take on it. Something like the Castaréde XO or Hors d'Age 20?
Thanks for the update on Green Label. I bought a case of the old stuff when you said it was going away. I like the new version, too, but it's just not the same!
If one likes oranges then it's decent stuff, thanks for your entertaining vlogs as usual. Would be interesting to see your review the Isle of Harris The Hearach.
The big chain liquor store around me pushes this brand every time I’m in the store. I’ve always been too skeptical to buy it, thanks for confirming my suspicions.
The cognac is definitely one to ignore! Thanks for the comments on the changes in Johnnie Walker Green. I am fairly new to it and I just have a bit here and there so I didn't realize there was a change in the makeup of the whisky. I have definitely heard a number of people comment that it's not as lovely as it used to be. That's disappointing. Have a good weekend! Great video!
Ha, my wife and I stumbled upon this brand a few years ago at a liquor store in Seattle. Regarding the name, it’s a play on the last name of its creator: Francis Abécassis (ABK6, get it?). I also think it’s quite silly branding… I guess they were going for a more “modern” name to match the modern bottle design? I recall we were fairly unimpressed with the VSOP but we decided to get the XO because it was pretty good and about half the price of the XOs from the major houses (Remy, Hennessy, etc.). Haven’t really seen it since… we opt for Pierre Ferrand when we want a more “indie” cognac fix… the Ambre is a pretty good VSOP-grade expression from them.
Great review, thank you Jason 🙂👍. By your review, can tell this bottle is not for me. Would have to slowly drink it because I paid for it dammit and refuse to pour it down the drain. Oh by the way - got quite a chuckle when you flung the award.
Great to see you doing more reviews. One of my favourite and most helpful channels
What a strange name to ask for at a restaurant. Thanks for posting another great video!
Now you know not to ask for it 😂.
Thanks for watching!
You are supposed to read it in French. It sounds like the name "Abécassis" Ah Bea Kah Sis .

Right on! It’s the Linkwood buddy.
Jason, agree with your review. Absolutely awful stuff, tastes medicinal. Still enjoying my D'usse vsop. Saving my Deluz xo for special occasion. Cheers

Noted!
Thanks Jason, any plans to do courvoisier XO? I think it’s great!
It is great! I’ll see what I can do
It’s good cognac for the money

I heard great things about this from Cognac drinkers. I been looking for it. Can’t find it in VA ABC stores in my area.
It’s in total wine I see they have 2 locations in Virginia so just look it up and if that’s too far you can order it …it’s pretty good
