WHAT BROUGHT ME TO UA-cam: I worked at Goldman Sachs, in Private Equity, and built up a $100M holding company. But after being in Wall Street for so long, I got tired of managing hundreds of millions for the rich. Investing was for the few not the many. F that. You all are the reason I do this. We as a society need to get rich together. My mission is to create 100,000 business owners, I hope you’re one.

@CodieSanchezCT Holy shit I normally have to watch 10-15 videos before I subscribe to a channel... I have seen this one and the Garbage truck start up you did a couple days ago... The ode to Ace Ventura made me INSTANTLY hit the subscribe button. Also would 100% love to see what you can do with one of these for Air BnB. I live in the panhandle so that was one of my first thoughts when the video started!
Thanks for such great content! I have two SFR with great profit potential but looking for funding or JV!
Come one Codie. You selling course too?!
I thought you were different.
@@vd.s6158 Hmm It CLEARLY states that it is free... how that ends up only Codie knows but for now you are jumping the gun specially with the information provided clearly stating the opposite of what you are saying.
Nipples
Read the google reviews for Bob's container's, it's horrific. they do not meet deadlines, will not pick up their phones, and the homes are not livable according to one person due to ventilation and condensation issues. I was all in on this until I saw that.
Just verified- True. One person said reviews were deleted, then went on to saying: " When my build was finally done, they then wanted 75% more than the formally agreed upon price. I had to take them to court and bc Texas is backwards, the judge said that they only wanted to make me “whole.” By returning my deposit. "
One thing to keep in mind, is online reviews versus litigation and BB ratings. While I don't doubt his business is free of complaints, people go out of their way to shout from the online heaven's of google and yelp reviews while being 1000% in the wrong and playing victim more than ever. Delays may have been advised to the client or a direct result of the client changing plans things last minute etc. Likewise the clients lack of investigation to city/county/state compliance for their build PRIOR to placing the order. Again not saying this business 100% on the up and up, but way to many professional victims on the internet because they get thier feelings hurt in 2020's. So you have to research reviewers as much as the company anymore.

Yes, buy one container and use it for Airbnb and document the process for us to watch and learn from the beginning to the end😊. Thanks for all of the knowledge you share with us.
I agree
Yes Go for it.
You do it. You don’t need a tear sheet or any advanced underwriting techniques in order to know how well this would go for you. The vid has the guidelines. And this is just a fix n flip. I believe in you. 💪
Love this idea
Buy one high end container and buy two low end containers
And see which is more profitable
As an architect and construction manager, I’m impressed and intrigued. The things I didn’t see addressed, however, are site improvements (access, utilities, landscaping); code compliance; and permitting.
Great point. We're trying to actually keep these under 30 minutes so can't cover it all. BUT go to their website all site plans and details are actually open source.
@@CodieSanchezCT Thanks, Codie, I just wanted to point out that there are (significant) costs associated with these things and they can vary widely depending on the site. Also, I visited Bob’s website, and saw a header called “Permitting” but saw no info under it.
Hey codei I love watching 😅ur videos ur an inspiration are u going to invest into this i learn a lot frome u
@@XanthrochroidPermits and consents will vary, depending on which territory you are operating in and how close and/or difficult utility connection takes or costs. I like the idea but I hate the fact that America is getting to the point that normal houses are unaffordable and will all have to live in small prefabricated shipping containers.
Yep, Ready Player One levels of coping now.

It's not a new concept. People have been making these for the last few decades. Still cool though.

Love this format Codie - very honest and insightful POV business tour!
Codie, your content is just amazing. Keep up the good work.
Yes do buy one and document the process of purchase, site build, permitting, zoning monthly utility cost. I would also suggest a follow up with a customer who already purchased a container say a year ago, to get a cost of owning after receiving delivery. Any temp or moisture issues etc. perhaps a volunteer or paid survey of their experience. This is while you’re venturing into your own purchase for us to follow. Just an idea from a follower.
Agreed. We need to know the true cost.

It's good to see you doing this type of video again.
Awesome video, so many layers with really good info. Thanks Codie.
Shipping containers are narrower. Then the lens on this camera. Is making them out to be. A shipping container is only 8' wide. Before you install the walls. To hide the wiring and plumbing. Hight is usually 10' You would need to go. A bare minimum of two wide. To have a decent amount of. Breathing and elbow room. Three containers wide, at 40' deep. Is perfect. H 10' W 24' X L 40' before the walls and flooring are added.
They’re not accounting for so many costs. Site work? Permits? Trenching? Backfill? Electrical panel upgrades? Water runs? Sewer runs? Electric runs? Container homes are not that much more cost effective than traditional construction and the exit cost will f**k you. You’ll lose money on these homes whereas traditional construction you’ll make money. These are a complete piece of sh*t. A lot of municipalities won’t allow these and lenders won’t touch it. $15M sounds like a lot, but not in spaces like these when you’re selling $200k products. I sold $3M in ADUs in the last 4 weeks.
What's and ADU? Where can I find information on the products you sell?
This dude is selling the boxes. That's the business. You're worrying about the part that the customer takes care of..
@@chrismay2298 that’s exactly the problem. There are 25 better alternatives that are nicer and just as much when you account for everything, but those companies handle everything. The consumer I’ll end up spending $200k when it’s all said and done for a piece of crap.

This was one of my favorite shows of yours. This feeds amazing ideas into my head. This was awesome. I think you should purchase one and go deeper into the total actual costs from start to finish.
Wow this guy just pulled a Henry Ford. Most people might assume Ford came up with the automobile but no he came up with the assembly line. He dominated the industry because he had first advantage on the assembly line and its much faster means of production. This guy is just taking Fords idea and bringing it to construction(agile construction they mentioned in video) I still give Bob credit because he is bringing it to the construction industry is still an original idea even if we already have assembly lines in other industries .
Exactly what I was thinking!
Ford perfected the assembly line, he didn't invent it.
no he did not it was George Washington Carver. Give credit to where its due
So interesting. I had always wondered about these. Thanks for sharing!

My advice to everyone is this : if you want to grow big this year especially in your finances. Be willing to make investments. Saving is great but investing puts you on a pedestal where you wouldnt have to worry about savings as you do now. Thanks to larysa Caba, my portolio is doing really great and im proud of the decisions i made last year.
I feel one Of the greatest challenges that we first timers face in the ma rket is that we end up losing all we have, making it difficult to find ourselves back to our feet. My biggest advice is to always seek the services of a professional just like I did when I ventured into it for the first time. Big thanks to Larysa Caba. I now make huge profits by weekly through her services while still learning to stand on my own.
I think she trades for everyone I meet. I met her twice at a meeting in Germany and after her lectures from Ella I had to personally ask her to be my financial advisor. she is definitely good.
I just looked up her name online. she is licensed with credible certificates and has an amazing track record. Thank you for the message.

You have missed the most important part of every building. The foundation!
Are they providing temporary footing for the containers? Which means they gotta be replaced in 10 years or so...OR they expect owners to come up with temporary/permanent footing, which means they need get structural engineer involved.
What does that mean
Can you elaborate
@@RiRi-ku6xz You can't just put these or any container or storage on dirt/soil and start using them. They need to have foundation like any other structure you see out there.
What part of my comment is not clear?
That would be a great video. Maybe Bob or Codi could do a delivery and setup video.
The city or county code would most likely determine the foundation options based on the lot and the structure.
The Structural engineer would give you the foundation solution.

so good, great show, makes me want to buy one!!
So inspiring!❤
super informative. I can seriously see how we can implement his e-commerce to my Construction business. super awesome
A friend of mine bought a pre-built home (not a container) from an out-of-town vendor to be installed as a backyard home. Problem is, when he got it brought in, he couldn't get the local city officials to certify it. Was a huge problem that went on for over 2 years, ended up costing him so much extra out-of-pocket, plus the time where it couldn't be used....which was devastating. So I'm still a big fan of pre-built homes, etc, but you have to be 100% sure about the full path for the site prep, utilities, and most importantly, the permits.
This is how u make quality content, love to see the growth, major network shows don’t even put out business interviews this good🙏🏽👍🏽

Very inspiring idea 💡

I haven't watched the whole video but I hoped they mentioned that you have to check with wherever you are buying your land and the laws especially zoning. City and county may vary and even your state may have laws in place where *you cannot build something like this on purchased land*. Even if you do buy you may have to pay big fees for permitting and wait a whole lot of time to be approved by authorities to build something like this on your land.
