The Denver player that committed the 15 yard penalty had 3 yards to make his mind up what he wanted to do with his elbow and he made the wrong decision. If a quarterback gets tackled because he’s running a ball and he does not give his self up then it should be allowed, but when a quarterback slides, and you have 3 yards before you decide to go down with a quarterback, and then give him a little elbow you’re going to get called every time.
Ya he should've done a cartwheel or something lol. But this came up when Trevor Lawrence got hit on that slide too. Maybe qbs can signify when they're going to slide, like waving or pointing the ball to the ground etc. it shouldn't really be on them but it would help avoid those hits and penalties
You should watch that Strnad penalty again because Strnad extends his elbow, trying to hit Herbert. That's why the penalty stoud
