This is a one of a kind custom slot car track built using a full-sized Porsche 917 replica that conceals a 1:32-scale working wooden slot car track faithful to the iconic Le Mans raceway.
Painted in the same color scheme and #20 race number-an homage to the classic 1971 movie starring Steve McQueen-the 917 has genuine race-worn GT prototype tires on aluminum three-piece rims and working headlights and taillights.
The precisely molded replica cowling opens like a clamshell at the touch of a button to reveal the track within.
Highly detailed signage illuminated by working streetlights
Features the Iconic Esso Oil Drop Man, Marchal sign, Martini barn, Dunlop “tire” bridge.
Dual analog racing controllers provide precise control for the included limited-edition slot cars, including the famous racing models from 1970-1971:
The GT40 that the producers cut the roof off of to use as a Camera car
Porsche 917 Camera Car
Gulf Porsche 917s
Martini 917s
The winning #23 Porsche Salzburg 917K of Driven by Herrmann/Attwood
Ferrari 512 Coda Lunga
Lola T70

Typically stateside ,looks fantastic but little or no homework done by the creators.
While I accept the track layout has to fit in the car, there's no excuse for getting the adverts, logos and car names over the pits in completely the wrong style.
In the actual 1970 race the solar productions camera car was the black 908, but during the post race filming sequences an open top gt40 was used to capture other footage.
Fans of the film can do no better than to find a copy of the book, A French Kiss With Death, the full story of the making of the film, complete with associated photographs.
Not to mention the modeling was done by a newb. A one year hobbyist could do better.
The camcar is totaly wrong. You present a GT40 Spyder Gulf Livery, and should be a all black Porsche 908 Flunder.
It's an amazing piece of art and you are crying about it not being correct? Smh, just appreciate it for what it is.
@@MasteG46 Yes, it's a masterpiece! I would like to have it, but unfortunatly I need the money for other projects (like a classic Rally Car), and on top I would need to build a much bigger man cave wich is açready much bigger then my other half would like. Anyway, I sugest the future owner to buy a 908/02 Flunder body, to mount the cam, paint it all black and he can fit it on the same chassis of the GT40 Spyder just to be correct. About the modern Mclaren road car, e can buy a DMC Delorean 1/32 body to replace the de Mclaren's using the same chassis and tell his friends that Doc and Marty are "Back from the Future", it's funny and out of the box. If he want's to keep it serious, he can just replace the Mclaren body for another car, there were 46 entryes plus 10 or so reserves, so there are a lot of cheap solutions to correct a small error in a very, very nice and expensive toy with a colector's value. Don't get me wrong, my critic it's just because it's so easy to fix, and to make it right, the 917KH isn't enough, a 917LH body would be needed... the size of an 18 wheeler.
@@JoaoPereira-uu2lp dude... get a grip... go work on your car or find something... anything... more constructive to do then bitching about some rich kids toys....
Weird flex but okay... You really don't get it do you? And i dont remember asking how you would build it? You got some issues that's for sure.
@@MasteG46 I maybe am too perfectinonist, but You are too seriuous, and absolutly don't take constructiv critics. Have a nice day.
Nice track. As for others saying you would build different just STFU!!! ITS HIS TRACK , not yours. He built they way he liked. Jealous!!!? His track is NICE!!!
