Yeah dude was trolling for 3 quarters of the game... the rien he was playing isn’t a rein player that or he’s a super low t500 player cos both reins where trolling aswell
I get it..... But it's not JUST bc he is tim. But jay does know he has not played more than 5 hours of rem, AND has not played this game for over 2 years. So for someone coming back he IS top 500 BUT..... he kinda needs a half a year to get his rust out. Tim IS top 500 but right now sadly he is low gm
If Tim was playing everyday since release then yes he would be roasted. But he legit stated he won 5 games and got master he hasn’t played for a long time
To clarify the winston melee tech, you should melee as often as possible between zaps on single targets. It does the exact same amount of damage over time and saves you ammo so you don't have to reload in a sticky spot. It can also be the final amount of burst damage needed to finish a kill through certain healing. Only zap if there is more than just one target in your range because of the cleave damage.
I think he deserves to be exactly where he’s at. He makes enough mistakes to be a masters player, but has the skills to be GM if he kept playing. I could even see Top 500 for Tim if he really focused on it
Yea it was very clear that he doesn’t play this game like that lmao. So I would expect him to be at masters anyway, but it’s really true for a lot of people that do this elo hell series
@@PyroInferno110 I can tell he remembers Rein tech a lot more than he does Winston tech. @@chloeeig yeah not much of a difference, masters just make more mistakes 🤣 generally the same level of mechanical skill. Top 500 is a whole other beast
If not for the Bastion counter-pick, I would've expected Twitch chat to be going "TIMTHEPLATMAN KEKW". Like, I just *_loved_* how he put down his Top 500 Season 1 spray at 5:08, _and then immediately charged into a wall five seconds later._ Bravo, Tim. If this was one of Emongg's "Bronze Bingo" videos, I might've ticked off "doesn't know what to do with Nano" a couple of times already.
Also, to answer the question at the 15-minute mark: *It's no longer "faster" to zap-melee-zap-melee* because of the OW2 changes to armor. In OW1, a punch would've only had 5 points of damage deducted because of armor, but since armor now does a flat 30% reduction of all forms of damage, the only thing it's good for is conserving ammunition so you don't reload as often and you can have prolonged engagements in fights. If anything, the Tesla Cannon in *_better_* in OW2 because originally, its damage-per-tick was *halved* against armored enemies thanks to calculations from damage sources dealing
Def seemed like he was way too panicky at times. Charged at random moments after playing corner really well and countering enemy rein. Did the same type of mistake with Winston when he would just bubble every time he went in mid-air. I think as far as nano goes he would have done way better just focusing tesla cannon on the backline instead of ulting. Clearly wasn't able to see what was going on and just threw them around the payload aimlessly
Tim always plays it up for the stream that's just his persona. Dude's always been like that even from way back when he was a season regular in the T500 ladder in OW1. It's obvious this is for the show and he knows he's been out of the game for a while and the only thing that truly keeps him from highest ranks is simply consistency and the amount of hours he can sink into grinding comp. That's all.
Imma be real honest Tim is quite good at the games he decides to play like CS and OW and Warzone and whatever else but imo a lot of the time he was ranked so high was because he groups with insane players in all the games I have listed so idk how good he actually is in each game at this current moment.
15:14 yes, shoot and melee will make more damage, because it will take more time for Winston to ran out of ammo and have to reload. it just make you have more time to do damage.
I never blamed Tim for moving on from Overwatch way back then since it was a tough time in Overwatch 1 at the time but it is always fun seeing him playing this game and enjoy it with friends. I respect all he does and this was a good video 👏👏

As someone whos climbed from perpetual gold in ow1 to high gm in ow2, the biggest change in lobby skill level comes at high masters-GM. There are players with great mechanics lower but once you hit high master lobbies i feel like everyone has a stronger understanding of fundamnetals, to a point where teamplay and awareness is almost second nature to most players at that rank. Players stuck in low diamond and plat and even low masters generally lack the all around fundamentals too climb more so than the mechanical skill. Top 500 and even GM lobbies play at a pace unrecognisable to a lower elo player. Its easy to fall short at that level because all it takes is a lack of understanding/skill in one fascet of the game for a player at that level to punish you and take advantage of that.
I can definitely speak to this!! I was a gold support player in OW1 and was even still gold at the beginning of OW2 (finished gold 1 on support). I didn't play any comp in OW2 season 2 (that was a scary time) but started working on my game and participating in more tournaments in season 3. I also made a good friend through the game in arcade and quickplay who turned out to be extremely talented at the game, and I started picking up tips and advice from them as well. In OW2 season 3, I started in gold 4 due to the decay from not playing for a season. In those two months, I worked hard enough to get from gold 4 to diamond 5 (and my rank stayed at diamond 5 after the MMR adjustment). That alone felt like a massive accomplishment!! I've always been mostly a casual player and saw diamond as a very far away stretch goal/end goal). HOWEVER. Shortly after hitting that massive achievement for myself, I played in a small competitive tournament and my team and I got to the final game, which was against all GM players. We were a mix from gold to diamond, with one GM on our team. We actually did pretty alright, but also got pretty rolled (expected). The game truly happens SO much faster at that level. Even if you're at the point where you're not making many/any mistakes, the speed of the decision-making is the real difference. So far this season (4) I've gotten to diamond 3 after just a few games, and am hopefully (fingers crossed!!!) on track to hit masters by the end of the season 🫣 that's a scary thought but I'm very proud of how far I've come, especially considering I used to think diamond would be my end-game
You can block a Mei wall with a Mei wall if you place it first in a choke, not great for small doorways but good for things like King's Row, or the tunnel on point one Gibraltar. The existing wall will destroy the section of the new wall where they intersect so cancelling the old wall leaves a gap. Just a nice interaction to open chokes against Mei.

Really tough to play the Rein mirror when one side has a Bastion and the other doesn't. A couple of engagements he had he got unlucky and his team got picked mid-charge. A few wall clips on charges too but that's really just a timing thing. Have to keep in mind with the Basiton presence, pressure is a lot higher on the Rein decisions so easier to make mistakes.
I agree with Jay3, Tim tends to stick in too much in bad situations, but maybe that's cause I'm a support main so I see things differently than a Tank or DPS main. I've seen so many tanks do that where they push in and stay too long and get punished for it, and against a bastion he tends to be too deep to get out by the time they charge/ counter charge situations.
Honestly just dps pick difference, sojourn and bastion destroy reins shield while Tim’s team had hanzo and mei which is more ult combo oriented instead of just zug shield
Seems like Rekz is trolling, Proceeds to play Genji into Winston. Gets nanobladed, gets one kill dies to Brig. Swaps to Echo with 30 seconds left, then instant swaps Widow????? THEN proceeds to wait till 30 seconds left to swap to reaper and through the entire push I didn't see one kill as Widow. Might be a result of editing, but lets keep going. THEN at the start of the round gets slept instantly causing his team to loose pressure on the high ground, then gets solo'd by half health DVA as BASTION. Then swaps Hanzo, and without a kill dies to Hanzo ult. 3rd map decides to walk in FRONT of Rein with Mei behind him and decides to blow a 12 second cooldown into rein shield and dies loosing them the fight. Then proceeds to swap to Pharah after only gaining 56% ult on Bastion with 2 minuets left and dies to Baptiste 30 seconds later and with 20 seconds left he isn't pressuring the supports AT ALL and dies to tracer. While Junk on defense is playing behind barrier, but then decides to push LoS on a Hanzo who has done very well, but gets 2 kills to help the defense. While Tim is respawning no one is divebombing point to try and save the point. But in the first map was the MVP, the ONLY time he was on a different team. Re-run this and put me in!

There was a support dif by at least 5k heals and he’s going into a bastion. Didn’t stand a chance so did the best he could
Tim is also solo diving with an Ana on his team
New Bastion is hard to get used to when you come from OW1.
It’s never that deep dude omg😭💀
His Winston play was rough. I didn’t see any small frog leaps and he didn’t land hits during his ultimate. All of his jumps were straight up.
I love how Tim didn’t switch the second round, even though the enemy team was still running Bastion.
First game was an absolute DPS canyon so idefk haha
The bastion leaves NO room for error, that's why they picked him, to punish the Rein's mistakes as much as possible.
Honestly very surprised of Tim, especially cuz he hasn't actually been playing Overwatch for the past 5 years
