Reggie Hebert I'm not sure. all I know is it wasn't popular because it didn't have insurance so the tour companies and cruise ships wouldn't use them. Roatan Backpackers hostel helped us book it $50
Thanks for the quick response. I was asking more because of how the "zipper" can keep from crashing hard at full speed when landing at the next platform. I am guessing that the recent death happened because the "zipper" for some reason came to a dead stop before reaching the next platform, either because she stopped herself or the wheels jammed on the line due to something beyond her control.
yes or the glove got caught in the wheels. the lines all had plenty of speed im 95 kilos. He should have been able to slow down or stop but in the end its up to the guys running the lines to communicate when its clear. I was told that this place didnt have any insurance
We did this as an onshore excursion from Royal Caribbean - it was listed as Extreme Zip Line. It is the most fun you can have with your clothes on!

probally not anymore after this death
So without the insurance, how much cheaper are their prices compared to their competition which have the added insurance cost?
The setup looks secure with 2 lines - I’d use them
yes but also note they dont have any insurance. Thats why the cruise ships wont use them
There are many ziplines in Roatan, which is this one?

How does the zipper (moniker given to a person who does the zip-lining) slow down when approaching the next platform?
you have a leather glove over the cable and they teach you how to pull down to slow yourself. Im guessing you are asking due to the recent death.
