I would like to share one of my process in my workflow that save me tons of time. When I'm talking to the camera or making brolls or wathever I clap my hands or snap my fingers one to tell me: "Ey, I'm starting the shot or the speech here", and when I finish if the shot was good, I clap or snap twice to tell me: "this one is the good one". So when I have to edit I can find the good shot easily. I Know this kinda sound risky or inefficient at the beginning because you like to check the shots, but when you trust in your process and your work, this saves you time, mainly with speaking shots. I hope it can be useful for all of you.
I enjoy the way you use speed ramping. It seems like you have a tasteful way of making it not too dramatic, but it still feels dynamic and captivating. Cool stuff! Gonna have to give that a shot. For what it's worth, I'm a commercial editor at a video marketing agency. Sometimes I get to be super creative, other times, the path is laid out and very straight forward, but I'm definitely going to try something similar soon if I receive footage shot in 60fps or higher. Cheers from Atlanta! Just subbed.
Ok, you got me. I'm heading out for a week of filming and will sign up for the course as soon as I get back. Maybe a few bucks I pay can go to your house build project. Every dollar counts. :)
I’m just @1:55 of the video and I had to pause to comment and say thank you!! I just got off of a 16 hour edit on the last video I published and it’s like you read my mind! Subscribed and sending you all the watch time love 💕
premiere pro has been getting on my nerves lately, can you make a video on the comparisons and contrast or just on why final cut pro is your choice of editor
Appreciate this video mate, I have a love hate relationship with Final Cut. video editing in general but mostly lack of consistency and really learning how to use all the tools I just downloaded daVinci resolve as I’ve been hearing good reviews far as user interface curious if you have any thoughts on that software compared to Final Cut? And would you recommend utilizing both or just picking one to stick with?
Hi Peter. when i insert the video clip to the placeholder, it doesnt seem to play the video all the way through within the placeholder. Am i missing something?
Bro, I have a quick question and this would really help me for a long run. I have no such great budget but I’m on that page where I can afford Canon R8. Do you think with that camera I can achieve the video quality like yours? I know you use A7S III but due to limited budget I can’t afford that. Really need your guidance
Zooming in.... Can't we do the all the necessary adjustment on one clip and copy and paste all the attributes on whichever clip we want to zoom in.... Instead of bringing in an effect layer (plugin) and doing all the adjustment (effect layer).. I just don't see any reason why we would want to do that... Nice Content. Keep up the good work.
You can't control the focal point. With this one you can choose where on the frame it zooms in by dragging the point around, simple to adjust. It also starts seamlessly if started in the middle!
@@PeterLindgren1 with that starting in the middle I’m with you. And des you cannot control the focal point. For such simple things i also use the zoom plugin. But i also use ken burs: when i do i split the clip for my start end end points and then configure ken burns with start framing and end framing. I think its worth to mention, cause its free.

Thx Peter. Awesome video. :) High five from Norway... Ha en fin Sommer :)
I thought this was gonna be editing tips instead of a commercial for plugins

Thank you! Happy to help :D
premiere pro has been getting on my nerves lately, can you make a video on the comparisons and contrast or just on why final cut pro is your choice of editor
Thanks for sharing your insights👊🏽
I have been unable to find a conversion Lut for canon, clog3 to Rec 709. Anyone have a link?
Great stuff! I'm just getting started with Final Cut Pro. Btw, I'm also Swedish (Västerås) but live in Las Vegas, NV.
Wouldn’t it be cool if Final Cut could “watch” a particular folder for a video, and it just auto-imported anything you drop in that folder?
Awesome tips

Great stuff. My wife was just telling me last night that I take too long editing. 😂🤙🏽
I have a pen and paper next to my pc. Usually need them if i watch your videos.
Love you broooo from bd.. ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Nice video.
How can I apply the quick zoom in and out on CapCut? Hate keyframes. It melts my brain because it’s tedious
'If you wanna get serious about editing, learn keyframes.
Hi Peter. when i insert the video clip to the placeholder, it doesnt seem to play the video all the way through within the placeholder. Am i missing something?
Great job man. I don't use final cut but you still give me idea how to edit as well 😀 thank you any way 😄

Yes, if you wanna have the same zoom in on all clips. Personally i like to change things up, and this makes things SO much easier & versatile.
Hey Peter did you try the FE PZ 16-35 mm F4 lens yet? If so would you recommend it over the 16-35 gm?
Great tips, Peter! Thanks for sharing!
Just curious - how does the Constant Zoom effect compare to the Ken Burns effect that comes with FCP...?
Way smoother, more customisable, eases in even if you put it mid clip, possible to change focal point with a click 👌🏼
I am a new fan..you look like John Travolta
🎉
Me using premiere pro and watching interestingly
watching this video instead of editing
Sweden?
Yup!
Why not use ken burns? 3:50

🤟❤
But the plugin is not free :(
Never said it was! But it's worth every single penny
