This is one of those rare short, to the point videos that actually demonstrates a technique, as opposed to all those long-winded ones that are essentially infomercials. Thanks doc.

    - Right hand on forehand, left hand on back of head
    - Close eyes and relax
    - Concentrate on new belief system and repeat it to yourself
    - Change the way you say that belief (Meaningful, Heartfelt)
    - Create images in your mind which are in alignment with new belief
    - If positive emotion comes up, identify it and feel where it is in your body
    - "I now know this to be true. And I know it to The depths of my being"
    - Move eyes from left to right 15-20 times
Just tried it out, works really well. I like the part where you just effortlessly see the images in your mind

This might sound ridiculous to some, but you can "command" your brain to change, stop sensations going on, stop hanging onto fat, etc. You can do this by "shouting" or sternly telling your brain within your thoughts to do these things, or if you are alone somewhere that you can do them out loud it's even better.

You're CORRECT! I can stop an itch or pain, oftentimes if it's not so intense, by "shouting" to my brain, "Brain! Stop the itch in my_________" or "Brain! Stop the pain signals in________(part of my body). I haven't thought to command it for bodily changes. I wonder if I could command my brain to let go of weaknesses or addictive behaviors(?) Probably, right?

@@TheAGODAMI Sure, no problem. In all honesty, I was born as an intuitive and I had plenty abnormal experiences in my life that nudged me to always want to explore more. One of these experiences was as an NDE where I learnt so much out of that and learnt that we are not nearly the body and we are not even the mind and that this which we call "reality" is very much an illusion. When I came back from that ND Experience I was completely changed, my focus had shifted into something that's between this reality and the truth, never quitted searching for the truth though. The NDE happened when I was twenty-two since then I had to keep hitting the snooze button on the clock because the world was nowhere near ready to accept or understanding the truth. I am sure that there were some awakened people already, but not on my side of the world. The more I kept hitting that snooze button on that allarm o'clock the more my health was declining. I got to the point I had a good conversation with my higher self and asked what else I had to do to restore my health that I had not already tried? I didn't have to wait to long for that answer to show up, indeed, I spot something that pointed out at Reiki and I began to explore the practice, I read a couple of book about it and also found a Reiki Master, and decided to take that plunge, since everything were pointing in that direction anyway. In all honesty, I have to say that three days of orientation each time (three different courses in order to become a Master), may not be enough to learn everything nor to become a healer, but they were enough to open me up to the healing practice's. Self healing and healing is much more than Reiki, that was just my first step toward my own self-healing, but it helped to show me that it can be done. From there I discovered that there are so many other ways to self-heal and heal as long as you realize your true nature and do not fall into your own ego trap, or worse, someone else's ego trap. If you still not able to wrap your head around the fact that we are not the body and we are not the mind and we are not the reality that we wrongfully learnt to identify ourselves with,
not even the name, I suggest that you learn more about yourself before embarking into something you do not understand. Indeed, you don't have to be a Reiki or a Pranic Master to be a true Healer, these are just "titles" and as long as you identify with a title you're not embracing your authenticity. On the front facade of the Temple of Delphy there's something written that says:
"Know Thyself"...and you'll begin to understand, or better, innerstand the universe. I believe that in all of us there is a Healer, but it needs to be cultivated and some people may be better at something else rather than be a Healer. There's no way I could possibly know what your talents might be, besides, what school has indoctrinated you to do and therefore you might be more comfortable to identify with what you have been doing so far. If you are not happy with what you do, then it is definitely time to explore and even to dare. Learn who you are first, learn the Enneagram or Numerology, these practices will help you understand which part of you should be cultivated the most to bring out your authentic self. I hope this helps.

It's up to all of us to make such judgments, especially if familiar with the subject. I do have the background, and for those lacking that much can research. Or simply try out what he offers. This is less about me than about what's being offered. And Man, if you think this (Grayson hodgepodge) is how the brain works, good luck to you.

My neck gets tight and my arms get tired when I do this (which makes it harder to relax). Can you do it lying down or with someone places their hands on your head instead? Also in the beginning do you breathe out of your nose too or in your nose out your mouth? Thank you!

Thank you for sharing this information. I have no idea yet as to why but I had an almost negative reaction to doing this, I feel quite affected by it & rather ill still as I write this. I am trying to analyze its roots, possibly a defense mechanism due to fear, or something physical, I am unsure. I will try to do it again at another time. I am a psychologist and researcher, & very interested in neurology & neural plasticity. I will try again at a later date.

+Lemmy Watts I just ran found this video and thought I'd give it a try since I do energy healing work with clients in the process of working on goals. So I look for other people and their techniques or ideas I can recommend because I have seen that not everything works for all people. I was especially interested because this is so simple. I thought maybe I could recommend this video to clients. Obviously some people really like it so I'm happy to see that and know that some consider it to be beneficial. I was wondering if it could also trigger a reaction like you mentioned. I can usually feel energy from my hands and find it to be relaxing when there isn't too much I'm trying to do with my mind. I found that it triggered some things also, so that was interesting. But I don't mind that as long as I take another step and dissipate what I'm feeling with energy work and then do my mental creating from a place of peace and coherence. The mind is so fascinating and powerful and I love the new findings and experimenting with different techniques. I'm grateful to have found Dr Grayson's information and will also try it again at another time.

I agree wholeheartedly with both of you (though I think I prefer to say I am in a toxic state currently, than I am toxic, but I very much assume that was what you meant. Well, hopefully :) ) I have been in an extremely severe state of continuous stress for about two straight years. I have been going through something that I have not known anyone in my entire life to go through as I am going through. The issue is confounded by isolation, a lack of friends or family in the area, an almost constant high alert, severe stress, an extreme fight or flight state, and have gone through I think all of the phases of adrenal exhaustion, and believe my body is in a state of just giving in. I have reached out to people in my community for help, to family (who are not in my area, so the best they could offer was an occasional phone call, texts or emails, which I rarely have the time for.( WHat I desoerately need, but cannot afford is a break from my unending, grueling, and almost constantly abusive schedule. I feel my body shutting down in some ways. I'm writing now because everyone's asleep, and my sleep cycle suddenly just stopped the other night seeming;y out of nowhere after working for months to get back on my husbands' schedule. I have thought of Virginia Wolf's essay, "A Room of One's Own," of which I do not have, but what I believe I need desperately is time of one's own. Time each day,15, maybe even 20 minutes, where I can rest, close my eyes, feel my heart slow down, breathe in deeply. But I've tried, and immediately I am called to defuse a crisis, and though I was getting better, I know today my body is failing, it;'s starting another cycle where my body is racing, I am feeling fatigued, but wired, everything I hear makes me jump, every time I hear someone calling me, I either feel like I will cry, or I cringe & feel unwell. I long for the days where I used to sit in hours of traffic because I now know what a gift it was, a pity I didn't know then. I envy my husband's drive back and forth to work, though he complains about the traffic, and his job. I envy that he goes to the bathroom without being yelled ay the entire time (I've gotten to the point where my bodily functions are in some kind of sttate of shock, where I cannot even do simple things like urinate anymore.) I feel my body starting a new cycle of fatigue, and being ill, but the amount of pain throughout my body currently is so severe, even if I had the time to walk, I am now using a cane, & once my husband comes home, all I want to do is rest, but I do not get that chance until they all go to sleep. I'm in a state that, yes, could be described as toxic, adrenal fatigue, chronic fatigue, chronic pain, and an eventual shutdown. Mentally and spiritually, I am feeling low, brown, or dark, and yes, toxic. Sick, and scared that this time, I will not make it through. I spend too much time angered at myself for being almost disabled now when less than ten years ago, I was in incredibly good shape, and my husband rold me he remembers not being abble to keep up with me walking. One of my sons asks me why I don't go out with them very much. He was so sick with a fever yesterday, and told me he felt like his muscles were too weak to move, and that he was so tired, and hurt everywhere, and that his bones felt like they were breaking. When he started to feel better (so quickly too!!!!!!!!!!!!(, I tried to explain to him that what he felt is how I feel so much oif the time, and that is why I'm unable to go to all the place together as a family. I cry every day, I am missing out on doing the things I wanted to do together, and I cannot afford the help I need. My kids see me going to the doctors often, know my doctors names, but still see me crying, though I try to hide it, but because it's so often lately, it's impossible to always hide it, & I cannot lie that I wasn;t crying. I just try to tell them it's because I am hurting so much, both physically, and because I want to do more for them, & with them. My husband's at his wit's end with me, which is very scary. Of course on some levels, he understands, but he's human, & wants it to be easier on him of course too. Don't we all. I wonder this time if I will make it through this time, with the mounting depression as my body feels like it is failing quicker, and sometimes I've wondered if it would be better all around if maybe my body just did give in, and let my pain stop, noth mentally and physically, and let my precious children heal and move on, as my husband does, & helps them to also.

Oh my goodness! After reading all this, I really, really want to help you. I feel no where near as qualified as some others may be to help, but I at least want to try. I don't know how I could, but I am saddened by your situation. I'm not doctor, heck I haven't even finished college yet, (I'm 18) but I do know when someone needs help, and for me to read all this and simply keep scrolling would be unsettling. I can tell that this is a cry for help, although your intentions may not have been as such. I'm not even sure you'll read this, but if you would like to talk more, or vent or whatever, my email is happytreefriends1919@gmail.com . I'd like to agree that you yourself aren't a toxic being, but the environment you're in is causing all this toxicity inside of you. I do believe that you can change, and that it is not too late. It seems to me that your main focal point of stress is coming from your job. Forcing your body to take emergency cycles to accommodate your busy schedules is not how humans were meant to live. I know that your job is very important to you, and that you most likely continue to put your body at risk for the well-being of your family, but think about it this way: Would your family rather lose your house, or you? From what I'm reading from before, you're relatively young. Think about the tremendous effect your absence can have on your family. There are numerous legal ways to make money, so if quitting your job means saving your life, and your family's well-being, I'd say you already know what your decision is. But hey, what do I know? Maybe I'm going about this all wrong, and if I am, please take what I wrote with a grain of salt. It's ultimately your life, your decision, but I just couldn't scroll past your comment without saying a word. Once again, if you would like to speak further, my email is up there. I really hope you make a recovery!
