  • Vincent Dazé was a paramedic on an ambulance crew in Edmonton when he decided he needed a new challenge. So he took a position in Fort Chipewyan as an advanced care paramedic. Here, he could work to the full scope of his training.
In Edmonton, there was no opportunity to do patient care after you delivered the patient to emergency. You were off to do your next transport. In Fort Chipewyan, there are far fewer calls, and he is often called on to work with the health care team here to provide patient care.
Vincent loves it! It's a chance to treat patients who come in with sprained ankles, suspected fractures, colds, flu and much more.
As well, he found the community here very welcoming, and there's an abundance of activities for those who love the outdoors.
