Hi friends,
This video is quite old and my technique here is farrr from perfect - I didn't have many hours spent on the guitar when I recorded this. Please be gentle and understand this video is not meant to be a guide. This song is meant to be played in D standard, with all downstrokes on the power chords. Much love xx
Jim Root Telecaster Recorded directly into Duo-Capture mk2 Roland Interface
Tuning i played in is drop C.

Who cares, this is awesome!
Man, it doesn't matter if it's supposed to be played downstrokes, your alternate picking is so good!
Do you have the tabs anywhere? Would help me a lot.
Great video btw!
The lead sounds absolutely fantastic
True
The best go-with-the-flow I ever heard!
With only down stokes the riff will be a little more powerfull. But still cool cover!
Great cover and nice to show both guitars playing not just the cover of the bottom on that most people post
Clicked because of that Jim Root signature. Pretty good cover man! What do you think of the guitar? I'm thinking of getting the Fender one.
It's an awesome guitar. If you had the extra $$ I would definitely recommend buying the fender version. It's a decent step up from this squier model
The lead is awesome, the tone is amazingly close considering how distinct it is, however with the rythm 1: its should be all downstrokes and 2: Josh Homme would never use drop C 😂, hood stuff though
Pretty sure the original recording of this song is in Drop C..
@@tableauthetable1943 Na C standard, Homme only uses 'standard' tunings as it keeps the same chord + scale shapes
@@eliotgandy1609 ahhh I see, didn't know that, ty!
@@eliotgandy1609 You sure it wasn't in E Standard? Doesn't seem like it would make any sense to use C Standard for this song given the melodic range of the guitars...
@@ryanhayes5475 most if not all of Songs For The Deaf is in C Standard iirc.
leads sound awesome. note: I've found that a univibe for this part is perfect.
Very good my friend you did it fantastic ! I love the sound all these minutes.
I like how this sounds actually
Homme is all down strokes
nice 1!
what a sound!
great cover
For the rythmic section (Top half) What where you playing?
💥
Hey bro, i want to know, what effects pedals do you use to play this.
Distortion and overdrive very high
It's good. But c standard and it E C A and course E C D
Awesome cover, but I really dig that SWEATER
Woah !! Nice !!
Chorus is E, C, D
Could you play an Arctic Monkeys song? or a red hot chilli peppers song? using this guitar?
Use downstrokes sounds better
Eh
Yes the up and down strokes is so easy and basic
Awesome
Tell me how to tune the guitar.
D Standard tuning
Seu 100 inscrito kkk
el felipe miranda es mi novio ojo
Use downstrokes bro , like a real man bro !
thanks asphalt 8
Play a Hollywood undead song
My fav : Everywhere I Go
Will you teach me
The rhythm guitar is ALL WRONG!
I saw them play this on Conan O'Brien and I watched Josh Homme's fretwork intently.
I mean, it's almost that simple, but still....
