As an ex Sheffielder, you were very kind to our old city. Change is inevitable, not always for the good, but I've certainly seen worse cities. Thanks Charlie.
Me and my partner are currently visiting Sheffield and we went to Bamford today and I said that I'd seen you on the train heading back to Manchester. Funny to confirm that It was you after seeing you post this. Crazy synchronicity for us, seeing as we watched one of your videos the night before!

I hope that bloke at the tram stop didn't create a negative opinion of people in the city. I've lived here for most of my life and generally people are very friendly. Great video. Thanks.
From Canada: my son-in-law ‘broke’ his back in a tussle. Turned out to be a bone cancer. The ‘officious’ nurse wanted him to sit in a chair (maximum pain) when laying on the floor brought a degree of relief: threatened to throw him out of the hospital. Love nurses but, like cops, a bit too full of themselves. May be a bad day but, authoritarians need dismissal.
Really enjoyed that Charlie. So good to see Sheffield again. I left Sheffield in 2005 after 35 years living there. I moved to the Norfolk coast but I go back to Sheff for holidays and to reminisce. Glad you felt the warm vibes of the Sheffield people. I miss those times. Always watch your vids. I have high respect for you. God bless you and god speed.

If you go down a grid in Sheffield and walk along the pipes for twelve minutes, you come to be underneath another grid. If you bash the lid off, you come out in St Petersburg.
Sheffield wasn't obliterated by the Germans, there were many beautiful old buildings in my childhood and a wonderful atmosphere of community. The corporation became a council and pulled down our lovely old buildings only to replace them with garbage. The city has been taken over by foreigners and now nothing but a handful of buildings remains on the site of the city that was Sheffield. Today the place that was Sheffield is so bad that my entire family has taken my lead and abandoned the place. I left in 1997 and I'm glad that I did.

This reminds me of a construction in Holyhead from the passenger terminals at the rail station right up to the ships, a covered walkway, but they stopped using it and went back to those horrible little buses to drive foot passengers onto the ships for both Irish Ferries and Stena alike, the only difference being that after check-in, you get into a nicer upstairs lounge for Stena before boarding

I spent seven years in total in Sheffield as a student at the University of Sheffield. I am immensely fond of the city. It has some beautiful suburbs on its western edge. The Arts Tower (Grade II listed and known for its rare, health and safety-defying Paternoster lift) is not conventionally attractive but it really grew on me and has a strange elegance to it. Your observations are correct in that it is very similar to the Seagram building in New York, and looks like the wide section on the CIS building in Manchester which you'll be familiar with.
I'm from the north west but lived and worked in Sheffield for 25 years, still very fond of the place and the people. I used to work in that ugly Moorfoot building back when it was part of DWP Head Office in the late 90s. Nice to see the Botanical Gardens, or as a friend's kids used to say, the mechanical gardens! :D I used to get the Halfway tram from that very stop and it always amused me too. I expected someone to ask the conductor for a ticket to Halfway and for the reply to be "half way to where?"
The H&M building has a look of a cinema to it. It's a shame to see so many big names that have been in the town center's for year,s all closed down. Park Hill looks like something you would find in Romania.
