9 years ago I watched this video when it first came out and it inspired me to learn to play piano. I learned how to play so that I could learn to play this rendition, and I did. It is in fact the song I know how to play best , my "signature" , and I can still play it with my eyes closed. 9 years later I am too caught up in my personal issues to find enjoyment in playing my instruments anymore. I hope it passes soon

This probably has to be one of the saddest songs in video gaming. Man..They really need to reboot or remake SH and have some way to save lisa or be able to comfort her in her final moments. It just breaks your heart that Lisa went out like that

Don't interesting. No. Lisa is born because Harry wanted to get a help, to see a human and she will dead when Harry go around, like a Marya in Silent Hill 2. They haven't a chance.

I don't really understand what you're saying. Lisa was around because of Alessa..not Harry. What I meant was it just felt like they should've let you comfort her like you could in the play novel or some way she could've been saved or something in one of the "good" endings.
Maria was able to be brought to "life" in SH 2 so it's not like it would be all that far fetched. She was a manifestation of course and not the real mary but she was still "alive" or whatever as she described herself. Her only real downside was she had the same sickness as Mary and would've died anyways.
Agreed, i also prefer the Lisa where Alessa imagines her as a kind nurse rather than what she became in Silent Sill Origins (the whole thing with Kauffman) Silent Hill 1 for the win.

I know I'm a little late for the party, but this is really amazing. I'm learning piano for the first time now (31 years old), and this where I aspire to be. Thanks for the inspiration!
My grandma started piano classes with 50 years old. She is 88 now and still give classes daily. She plays Bach, Mozart and all of those hard pieces since her 5th year of studying methods. Just keep doing it you're not late at all!!!

Frozenwyrm12 Just google search 'silent hill wiki alessa'. Alessa was the antagonist of Silent Hill. A little girl that was set on fire for being a 'witch'. She didn't die, but was horribly burned, and as she suffered for years, (i think) her her pain grew a demon inside her, and basically she turned the town to what it is now.
Frozenwyrm12 Lisa wasn't really a very essential character. She just has a lot of fans because she's pretty and decently interesting. She's sort of like a ghost that doesn't know that she's dead.

LeGamingGuitarist I dont remember what was down there. There were 2 nurses? I thought going down from the top floor of the hospital was a lot worse.. or even fighting the rompers outside
+JustPaper I think by going to the basement the music stops. I finished the game yesterday and I felt so bad leaving that room which Lisa was in because I wanted to hear more and more of that music

Anyone feel like Lisa's story is a bit too relevant during this period of quarantine, just imagine the stress a healthcare worker might feel at this moment and how it could cause future problems down the line for them. These are the front-line workers who are directly facing the possibility of getting the virus and at the same time they don't back down, they keep moving forward. The bodies pile up, these workers risk their lives for other peoples stupidity and for what? They don't even get paid well. It's heartbreaking and just adds a new level of despair to this song :'(
And due to that stress other healthcare workers may as well do what lisa did to cope... drugs

Still one of my favourite musicians on UA-cam and this is one that comes up on my playlist fairly frequently. Such a damn shame you had to stop playing... This video was one of the reasons I wanted to start playing piano myself in the first place.

some pepole say games like outlast-daylight-dead space -amnesia(i love dead space and amnesia but they are not the best in my opinion) are the best horror games hell some pepole say slender is the best ever i know some of the games i mentioned are indie games and its not fair to compare them with big budget games but still i see some pepole calling it the best and putting it over silent hill and the other games i will mention.. they are nothing compared to masterpieces like the first four silent hill games they are not just scary they have one of the best stories in video game history and its not just about the story they are so unique and special the atmosphere the psycholgical horror and messing with the player's head and emotions and making a dreadful disturbing atmoshphere and terrifying monsters the soundtrack the tension the creepiness and alot more... the fatal frame and forbidden siren series deserve a menetion and of course the resident evil series i know its not the same nowdays and its not as creepy as the silent hill series or fatal frame series but its the series that made survival horror popular and made it a genre along with silent hill.. thats why i think japanese developers are the best at making survival horror games i wish the silent hill series will be back to the original japanese team and im not saying that oh its race what matters! no im talking about the way they do it is and the overall execution is better in opinion i know that they inspired some of the ideas of their horror games from westeren horror books or movies but im talking about video games they execute better.. dont get me wrong alot of westeren horror games are great but not as good as the japanese. and its sad that gamers these days say REAL survival horror games are the ones when you cant fight back and just run away and have no weapons and completly defensless thats WRONG survival is not just running away The act of survival in a life or death situation gives you TWO options based on normal instinct. FIGHT or FLIGHT. some people want to fight. Some people want to run away sometimes you have to fight and sometimes you have to run. GIVE OPTIONS like the games i mentioned they prove my point. you will have to be aware of your resources, or you can run away but leave the monster/creature/zombie/entity behind in an area thats makes the game more fun and scary at the same unlike the games where all what you can do is run away wich gets boring and not creepy unless it done right but thats very rare.sorry for the long talk i just wanted to give my full opinion about survival horror games :D
I agree on Silent Hill being much better, but in my opinion Outlast had a great story if you take your time to read all documents and notes.
Mayor Milk outlast was fantastic! I have never speedran a horror game that was still spooky once I have it down.
Eh, silent hill isn't what everyone pretends to remember. It's fine, but it has not aged well at all.
