@@ComDiosSiempre it's a fact, Valdemar Escobar Barazza killed Chalino, Valdemar was Chapo Guzman's right hand man. Don Juan Villarreal confirmed it in his song El Cantante.
Congratulation on this well made documentary. You should start working on the Netflix series or movie. I remember the first time I heard Chalino in 1994 I could not understand why he was becoming so popular. After a few weeks I wanted all his recordings. He has a peculiar voice but writes songs like scripts out of action movies.
Aw thanks a lot, Maria! That’s an interesting description of his songwriting, for sure. Reminds be of a quote I came across whilst researching, by Pedro Rivera…he said something like “whilst listening, you’d be biting your nails waiting to hear what happened to the main character”. Action movie script is an apt description :)
This video is such high quality that I only noticed after 15 minutes you only have 300 subs. Awesome subject matter as well because I have been trying to find out about this guy for a while but there's very few English media sources talking about him. Matter of fact I'm jealous I didn't think of making this video first!! Just kidding, keep up the great work really enjoyed this.
This was a well made documentary about my idol !! Wow congrats!! I had the honor to visit his tomb or should I say mausoleum in 2020! Huge Chalino fan , I have his original cassettes !
He got set up by someone who was really close to him . Someone that was putting him on at the time . Think about it . His son was set up too . Crazy music world rip both legends
Bro was an advocate of women's rights on the basis of the equality of the sexes; and a person who supports feminism. He was Brave and honestly he has a song about it too Heard he would get in gun battles while on stage lol bro was the Mexican John wick
they should make a movie about Chalino Sanchez who would be a great to play his role michael pena or Marc Anthony or Jacob Vargas yes my mom loved chalino sanchez I grew up on his music deberían hacer una película sobre Chalino Sánchez, quien sería genial para interpretar su papel, Michael Peña, Marc Anthony o Jacob Vargas, sí, a mi mamá le encantaba Chalino Sánchez, crecí con su música.
I barely learned about him today and was lead to your video, thank you for all the effort and research! Your Spanish annunciation is better than mine! 😂
@@Anomaliayt There also alot of crap out there so better doing quality vids over quantity. Cool topic as well. Knew his story but much more ballsy than i thought. Probably too much so

Wow that really means a whole lot. It has been so long since I’ve made a video, and juggled (and even started) a few ideas. The algorithm punishes you if you don’t upload much :(( I really appreciate the words !
You mean Eduardo Gallegos? It was reported by the journalist Sam Quinones. It also went to trial, and he was convicted of heroin possession at the time of arrest.
Hahahha this British Fellow just scripted the dialog from a L.A. WEEKLY article on Chalino in 1998 By Sam Quiñones called : CHALINO SANCHEZ, Sing Now Die later ... He scripted it Verbatum 😂🤣
I link his book in the description as the main source. And to be honest, I spent a long time researching. You find out that Sam Quiñones was the main journalist covering Chalino, and many articles also quote him and his writings. There were also a lot of mild conflicting stories, even from Sam himself, so I went largely with the accounts from his published book.
H wasn’t killed because of killing his sister’s rapist. He was killed because he sang about the Cartel, and they did NOT like it. Much like what has happened in the Gangster Rap music industry. Aliya, Tupac, The Notorious B I G, and
I find his story interesting, but I find it stupid to glorify cartels, this is not a story about the Mexican life and more about glorifying pure evil. Many inocente people have died in the hands of cartels.
I do agree and was in 2 minds while making this as I was essentially glorifying a person who was glorifying quite depraved behaviour… at the same time I found it such a fascinating story.
Thanks for uploading this video for anyone who doesn't understand Spanish but want to know who this guy was ... a legend
He killed a man who raepd his sister, anyone would do the same. And yes Valdemar Escobar Barazza killed Chalino while Chalo was supposedly present

Not exactly. I read 5’3, but he was taller than his wife who was 5’5 (apparently). I’d say 5’7, maybe 5’8 max.
Yeah most sites say 5' 3" but that does not seem accurate like the creator said, maybe around 5'8 or 5'9
