But here’s the thing: the Rebels were fighting against the Empire’s tyranny, the classic underdog story. The Resistance/First Order conflict is more like two governments fighting for control of the galaxy.
So a rehash of the prequel feud then... two governments fighting for control of the galaxy. Except it's not even accurate because the Resistance isn't a government in the first place, and the First Order is more of a military faction than anything.
I hope this doesn't become the permanent video. I love the idea of continuously adding more possibilities, but the fact that this was 100% New Era, and it ended with the new park setting makes it seem permanent. Cross-era planets don't bother me! It really isn't a big deal!
I noticed that there were two changes in this takeoff scene. The Falcon has the rectangular satellite dish from TFA & TLJ and the Stormtroopers are from the First Order.
You know, I wonder if they'll add more planets to this part of Star tours? They can't just use these two planets all the time. They need more options like the other version.

This ride, no offence, is horse-shit. You don't have to talk like Mr. Rogers to appeal to kids. C3PO didn't speak like he was telling a story to children in the first trilogy... again, Return of the Jedi is when that started. because of the over-commercialization of it. That's what ruined SW in the first place.
The original episode 4 and 5 were great, then George Lucas wanted to sell more toys, so he put in Ewoks to get into the teddy bear market or something. He completely changed the direction of his original script (Luke was supposed to turn to the dark side to set up episodes 7-9 - do a search of Gary Kurtz relating to the writing of the first trilogy).
This ride, no offence, is horse-shit. You don't have to talk like Mr. Rogers to appeal to kids. C3PO didn't speak like he was telling a story to children in the first trilogy... again, Return of the Jedi is when that started. And the first two SW movies appealed to just as many kids as the other SW movies, in fact, they did more, because they also appealed to young adults more, and kids like to emulate adults... if the young adults like it, the young kids will also. #JarJarsucksewokdick
20th Century-Fox was a great movie studio in Hollywood since 1935. 20th Century-Fox did released the first six Star Wars movies. But what about Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens, Star Wars: Episode VIII - The Last Jedi, Star Wars: Rogue One and Solo: A Star Wars Story were released by 20th Century-Fox and Lucasfilm Ltd.?
The Star Wars I'm sorry but Star wars has always been like that. They have been children films since a new hope and they obviously wanted more money from toys and merchandise. In fact, the brand has been exploited since the 70's with different toys, comics, Graphic novels, Videogames, TV shows,music etc.
sorry... the original release of Star Wars was made for young adults... Not children. George Lucas was quoted as saying this. The movie just resonated with kids and then Lucas sold out by the time he got to make Jedi.
