Experiencing that as a ten-year-old Star Wars fan was so cool. I will always be grateful to my father for taking me to Disneyland Paris during the nineties. Rest easy Dad.
The shot at 4:38 uses a technique that can be seen in A New Hope. The camera pans into a massive 2-D illustration of the Death Star's trench, a laser causes the entire screen to go white, allowing for a seamless visual transition to the smaller 3-D model that the camera enters.
It's been so long and yet I still remembered every sequence and line of this. And my first time riding it at Disneyland. With a queue that wrapped twice up and down Main Street before turning back into Tomorrowland and into the building.
This is fantastic! I myself am nearly finished with the small screen video that played along side this. The only thing is mine is a reconstruction - this video of yours is a terrific preservation of the the original. so cool!
Hello, i am strongly considering making a VR recreation of the original star tours ride in VRChat, and would like to request permission to use this video on it.
@@Theme_parchive if I may ask, is there any chance you have the ride video for any of the two side screens? As it stands i would have to re-create those from scratch, so it would help greatly.
This vide was reuploaded due to an audio error during rendering on the previous upload.
@5:17 - that's my Uncle Ira "ducking" out of the way at the end. He was an ILM model maker who created SO many cool things
No way! Me and my mom always spoke about that part being our favorite for making us laugh :)
@@completetechheads awww, I love that SO MUCH! Thank you for sharing!
It also looks like he was in a studio set while the recording of him was scaled onto a green screen panel in the actual model set! :)
That’s your uncle? Damn!
@@GamerKid64 it is! I was so delighted to see this as a video! Thought I'd never see it again after the 80s!
R.I.P Paul Reubens. AKA, our Captain R3X.
❤
When you glide over the Death Star surface and into the trench, Sweetest feeling in the Galaxy.
Before the prequels , before the sequels, we had star tours!!!!
I blame Disney
@@benjaminkitchen6257They also gave us Star Tours, so...

This brings back memories! I was there at Disney World on that Star Tour ride in 1993!! What a ride it was ❤
I remember riding Star Tours the summer it opened. This is cool to see, again! 🤩😍

It would be amazing if you guys found the similar film for Body Wars at EPCOT.
I’m on the lookout for it
@@Theme_parchive Be on the lookout for Cranium Commands preshow footage as well mate!! You're great at what you're doing!

Can’t wait to see your project come out!
The classics never die! 😉👌🏼
I remember being on this ride a really long time ago. I was so young I thought he said "Light Speed To Enter" but it's the planet Endor lol
Disney is downright stupid for not restoring this masterpiece in one of the simulators with a virtual queue on the app.
My brother and I went to Disneyland in 1987 and did nothing but this ALL DAY LONG.
How did you find this? always been interested on how this stuff is found, or restored
some of the footage was used in Disney's Sing-Along Songs Volume 7: Disneyland Fun
I'm glad i went too all the simulator
I can't believe you found a copy in such good quality! Wow! Mind if I ask the source?
it's from the Star Wars Celebration live
@@gilgrissom2000 Thanks! The fact that there's no lower third makes me suspect someone was able to get a good quality version in person. Very cool!
@@DoubleCritFail this is just a crop of that
I miss this one.......... the new Star Tours is too rough.
Crazy that I never realized this was Paul Ruebens AKA Pee Wee Herman back in the day riding this many times
RIP Paul "Pee Wee Herman" Reubens. You were truly the best. Rest easy HA HA!!!😂😊.
Did anybody else notice Monsanto's Mighty Microscope at 2:00?

How has this comment been here for 5 months and I'm the first thumbs up. REMOVE BEFORE FLIGHT
So much fun!
How are you able to get your hands on all this stuff?
This is from a Star Tours 35th Anniversary event that was live streamed to UA-cam.
Do you have a non yt compressed version of this for download?
@ProjectSunset
i'm thinking about using this for an upcoming project, would that be alright with you?
great
What’s with the flicker effect?
I used to ride this back in the late 2000s and early 2010s. It was an insane ride.
1:03 right before, they captain Rex from the clone wars.

WHERE'S THE VIDEO???? ONLY AUDIO????
There is video. You must’ve experienced a glitch
It’s a very common glitch, relaunch the app.

I've always found the camera movements dodgie, but boy how i used to love that ride (and especially the queue leading to it) at Disneyland Paris !
You got the ride footage from the other screen in the simulator?
Unfortunately I don’t have it in high quality. Just the one available online.

How is it that this Attraction from 1987 still holds up far Superior than both the Prequel/Sequel Trilogy?

The only way i could see the STAR TOURS . Thank you very much 👽🖖🤖 nanu nanu
This is so cool! How did they pull off those effects tho? It can't have been cgi, can it?
It was all done via Minatures, blue screens, and matte paintings. Just like the original trilogy!
@@Theme_parchiveI agree I rode this ride in 1997 i was 13 it was fun the new versions ride footage uses to much cgi😮
is this from the Celebration?
