- Well this was...interesting. Met up with Luke to record the Model 5 in downtown Bellevue, for the very first full-test of Eaton County MI's newly upgraded system. The Model 5 is located downtown at the FD, and the FD even said themselves "no new siren was installed, only the current siren was upgraded". So we didn't even make an effort to look for other sirens, after all, why would there be? The 5 is fairly new (1980s) and it's right downtown. Well 1:00 rolled around and the 5 didn't activate, but something else did. Long story short, we followed the sound and found "A F****** ERICK" as I say in the video, on the northwest side of town in a cemetery. We will be back...
Man you weren’t lying you guys made great time. I’m really surprised to see an Erick pole mounted like that with new boxes. Shit’s weird.
Well I know where I'm next year lol
Old siren + new controller = sweet! That thing will sing for another 50 years! 👍
RIP the "ITS A F***ING ERICK" siren. Lasted a good one.
that is probably the only eric siren in existence thats used as an actual siren and not a noon whistle
@CentralMISirens really is there any recordings of it?
what the siren name bc i thought it was a STH-10
It’s an “Erick”
New Noie quote " ITS A Fing ERICK"
I'm not completely sure of this sirens status, but there is a Thunderbolt 1000T in downtown Marshall behind the city hall.
Marshall is live, FAN DUDE recorded in Attack a couple weeks ago
“You’re shittin’ me” xD
I could save a tank of gas and go to the Carson City Erick, but I like my sirens to go a full 3 minutes
Oh boi, a BTS
Are model 5 sirens still produced?
No
Federal signal stopped making them around the 90’s(?)
Can't find this on aerial, must've been installed between late 2017 and now. That new FS box is a dead giveaway.
I see it on Street View from August 2014. No FS box then though...hmm.

You're right, it's just buried in the trees.
@@stormchaser668 That FS box is literally two weeks old. The county recently upgraded everything to two-way.
Funny how you guys ran all the way over there before t shut off, why is there a siren mounted that close to the Model 5 though like WTF
Why is the Erick so close to the model 5?
Awesome!
Well I know what siren I'm doing next year lol.
Yay!!! My favs BTS's
Well that is certainly interesting lmao
Really cool! I’m either going to Fife Lake or McBain for SWA, while my partner in crime is headed to an undisclosed siren in a secret county.
With the Indiana Statewide Tornado Drill coming up, I'd like to try and get the tones for Tippecanoe County. You guys have been successful in getting those several times, I seem to not be able to. What are the frequencies for the tones for Tippecanoe Co? I have both that are listed on radio reference and still get nothing. Am I missing something?
Midwest CWS I am absolutely terrible at remembering frequencies, but if I remember correctly it’s on the EMA frequency.
@@WarningSirensOfMichiana That's what I thought, gathered that from your BTS with the Purdue Eclipse but wasn't quite sure. For some reason no tones come through for me on that frequency even with 2 scanners on it. I guess I'll keep trying that frequency then! Thanks!
Noice homie
