I honestly prefer the way these sound over the dual-tone ones for some reason, I wish the single tone option was more common. The dual tone version is still pretty neat sounding, though.
It's not quite the only one. They've sold them in the past, however, very few customers order them in single tone like this. These have better range IMO, although they don't have that wake you up and sh*t your bed vibe. There's one in MA somewhere yet to be discovered.
Huh, I did not know these existed! Sentry only advertises the "dual rotor - 600/800 Hz broadcast frequency" with no mention of single tone. (I believe 800 is an error because 15 ports * 60 Hz is 900)
The 40V1T is basically the single-tone variant of the 40V2T. On the 40V1T, both top and bottom rotors have the same ports, and the 40V2T has different ports on each rotor, making it dual-tone. Hope this helps!
@@madisoncountysirens4295 According to Sentry's website, the 40v1T is not sold anymore. However, 40v2Ts aren't really common to see, but they still make 40v2Ts

My mind somehow treats this as an XT22 where the 12-port rotor has a blocked intake, thus my mind is creating a 12-port sound while there isn't one.

At full speed, that runs at 5840 RPM.

Normal sirens run at about 3500 rpm.
@@trainsandsirensofilinmiwi2080 3450 RPM
Incorrect. It runs at 3450 RPM
This siren is 10-port, not 8. So it runs at normal speed (around 3450 RPM).
