I am single and have Both Costco and Sam's Club. Depends on your lifestyle. I cook and/or bake every single day. Eggs, butter, milk, flour, sugar, etc. Is less than buying in a regular market. Almost everything is a better buy than a grocery store. If one eats meat, they have some phenomenal deals. I buy chicken for the dogs and cats. And my house is small by American standards. And have a place for everything - a lot of shelf stable itens are in my garage and use a couple bookshelves in the house as a "pantry." Also do supply runs for where I work. The annual fee is recouped in my first purchase.

When we first came to America, I took my daughter to Costco. I was so excited and pointed out how convenient it was to buy in bulk. My daughter pointed to a large package of laxative and said, “I HOPE that is more than you’ll need in a lifetime.”😂
?? Where did you live? Because I lived in yemen before coming here and there was a whole market for bulk purchases. Not to be racist but I can’t imagine a country with less economic development than Yemen, so I’m really curious where you live
@@burrybondz225 If you live in a country where buying in bulk is not an asset, you won’t be drawn to visit COSTCO. People often assume that every country is like their own. All people drive cars; there is a COSTCO that one may reach conveniently, large amounts can be stored easily inside the home. In areas with high humidity, heat, lack of central heat and air conditioning bulk purchases may be unrealistic unless you have a large extended family or own a business. I’m glad to see that at least you traveled out of your little American bubble and ended up in Yemen. I lived in Japan; my house had limited storage, lacked central air and heat, and there were large cockroaches that would lay eggs in anything that sat too long. We also had rats. I wonder how much people who live in New York City flock to purchase in bulk at Costco…. Try thinking from the perspective of others; it creates a more open minded less rude and critical approach to others.
@@vm4890 It seems that you were offended and I don't know why because when I said "i don't want to be racist" I meant racist against yemen for having low economic performance (before and definitely after the war) . I think you assumed that I was being rude to you or the country you hail from. Your earlier response perfectly translated your thoughts so I don't know why you deleted it and replaced it with this negatively charged comment. Second, there must be places with bulk markets in japan but not where you live so I don't understand the hostility since you are the one making assumptions about the whole of japan and not a congested city(Do not take this as passive aggresive because I live in a congested city right now). I could argue that limited storage is the only limiting variable since the city I was in was hot humid with large cockroaches, lizards and rats.
@@vm4890 In case I haven't made it clear enough I asked the question because I assumed every country is not like my own. The question was born out of curiosity. I asked the question to get your perspective so I don't know why you threw in all that condescending advice.
Point of costco is to bring wholesale goods to the average person. It makes getting bulk stuff at good quality for cheaper than you would at a grocery store. Oh and samples.
You don't need Costco to get wholesale prices. These days you can order direct to manufacturer. Their business is based off of slave wages, animal suffering, and environmental damage.
If you have space to storage it you are the winner, product cost much less than in the shop in smaller packet plus you don’t need to drive to buy to restock, gas saved 🎉
I love costco. I've bought certain items that have lasted months such as certain toiletries. Plus you can always find certain groceries that you can't get in other grocery stores. I should have become a member sooner.
My costco has the food court outside, when I used to work in a nearby area I would go there and get their hot dogs (i miss the polish), pizza, or churro.

They do have a "back" that's where you go to pick up anything you buy in pallets. All stores have a "back" that's usually where employees can go but customers are not allowed.

@@burrybondz225 oh you be surprised
Point of costco is to bring wholesale goods to the average person. It makes getting bulk stuff at good quality for cheaper than you would at a grocery store. Oh and samples.
You don't need Costco to get wholesale prices. These days you can order direct to manufacturer. Their business is based off of slave wages, animal suffering, and environmental damage.
It’s cheap, 1.50 for a big hot dog and a large soda.
If you have space to storage it you are the winner, product cost much less than in the shop in smaller packet plus you don’t need to drive to buy to restock, gas saved 🎉
No way he missed the food court that’s a violation
I know right 😭
ikr😢
Right?! The fries and pizza are so delish
Omg seeing the samples just brought back so many childhood memories
For real!
I love costco. I've bought certain items that have lasted months such as certain toiletries. Plus you can always find certain groceries that you can't get in other grocery stores. I should have become a member sooner.
I love the epic background music for this Costco quest 😂
One of my reasons I love shopping at Costco is for the $1.50 hotdog an soda I get after I shop a little over $200 of stuff.
You should shop at grocery outlet it has good prices
It really sweetness the deal 😅
My costco has the food court outside, when I used to work in a nearby area I would go there and get their hot dogs (i miss the polish), pizza, or churro.
“where have you been all this time?” IS CORRECT
I LOVE COSTCO. IT HAS MY WHOLE HEART. THE CLOTHES,FOOD,AND JUST EVERYTHING
damn bro it’s not a country
@@sourfar bruh it’s not, it’s what the store has in it 🫤
They have clothes??? Yo I neeeed to go to Costco
@@sequinjin8332 yesss! brand names tooo😋
Sam's Club is very similar. They even have the free samples everywhere.
They also sell mens shirts, you may want to take a look…
"You make me proud to he Half-American" 😂😂😆🤣
He said "to be"
we love costco in mexico too. i live in the US now but when i was younger my family of four would go every 2 weeks and it was always fun for me. now that i’m older i still go to costco either bi-weekly or monthly and it’s always so nostalgic
Not just Americans but Mexicans too, my family loves it
Damn Canadians really like Costco too we have everything including passes to go to different places around Canada and around the world. you can get your passport written in there as well
“What’s the point of Costco” I gasped.
That's one of my favorite places!
When I was younger my friends would always talk about where there mom and dad work and I would always say “ 😎my dad works at Costco 😎😎”
My daughters do the same😂 I've worked for Costco for 20 years now 😅
@@520beardown the best store anyone could possibly work at, I used to LOVE going as a kid for the samples and the old lady that checked receipts would always draw a smiley face on my hand it was just a good vibe stg
@@TellSomeoneWhoCares I've saved plenty of cash by eating samples on lunch time 😂
That’s a hard flex I ain’t gon lie
The magic don’t work the same no more….
As someone who doesn’t what Costco is , what it looks like inside , And has never been , and is about to walk in right now . This place looks good
Costco usually sells pretty good quality stuff and if it's messed up you can return it. Although eh I've not really got anything I thought was bad. I got something I didn't love but I gave it to a friend and they love it. 😅 (an ice maker)
I love Costco because there is no “back”, it’s all in the store and doesn’t waste space, and it’s fun seeing everyone with the exact same bin that was on sale.
What?
Lmfao those black bins with the yellow lids, that’s was meeeee
They do have a "back" that's where you go to pick up anything you buy in pallets. All stores have a "back" that's usually where employees can go but customers are not allowed.
The “back” is called receiving.
He's so brave going to Costco 🥺 that emotional music really sells the hardships he went through while being there
😂
😂
Wdym?
@@ratmantestROBLOX sarcasm he’s making fun of making the music emotional when he’s just going to a store 💀
@@ultra4265 ok I got it now thanks I guess
Plus because of the membership fee the customer base aren't entitled assholes stealing everything that isnt nailed down, unlike most other large retailers
It's called buying in bulk. It is easier for families to buy this way than to go to the store every day or week.
"Welcome to Costco... I love you."
Yes^^^ best comment here! 😂
the title of the video: “what’s the point of Costco?”
me: THE SAMPLES
This comment deserves more attention. It's ALL about the samples😂
@@Amy_The_unbearded FR THE SAMPLES JUST HIT DIFFERENT ✨
As a kid, the only way my parents could get me to come to the grocery store was if it was Costco and I could get samples. It was the best 👍
In the Netherlands we have those stores as well but only people with their own company can shop there.
Finally! Something he doesn't sneer at! Does he know in some locations they sell gasoline too? Gasp!
Anything he does “sneer” at deserves to be with accurate reasoning to back it up lol. coming from someone else who is also well traveled and cultured with a different mindset

I’m surprised he actually liked frozen food.
the inspirational music in the background and him walking around talking to people like this is his first time in Disneyland is way too funny

Some stores in Denmark also have samples, either from the company coming out into the store, or just the store doing it (I think it's every Sunday or Saturday) And it's free, no membership or anything
