- The legendary director will share his thoughts on creating some of fandom's seminal classics, from Halloween to The Thing, from Starman to Big Trouble in Little China, and everywhere in between!
I love Carpenter's attitude. No pretentious bullshit, just talent.
My favorite is In The Mouth Of Madness. It doesn't get enough recognition.
Sh*t yeah!!!
I only watched it once years ago I need to watch it again.
My favorite is your mom
He's so unintentionally funny. One of the greats!
Who is this guy?
Fucking love the vibe John's music gives to a movie, just love all those 80's synth sounds.
Think John's great, but he's talking out of his ass when it comes to they live, that Reagan bs, yeah right John lol
He’s just cool. Honest. Great rapport with his fans. Thanks.
Impossible not to love this guy !
His wits, his sense of humor ! 🇫🇮
So nice to hear him being positive about movies, there are so many grumpy interviews of him.
Arguably the greatest Director of his Generation, Assault On Precinct 13, Halloween, Escape From New York, The Fog, The Thing, They Live, Starman, Prince Of Darkness. John Carpenter Master of Cinema.
Its so awesome how candid he is. I love David Lynch too, but he is notorious for just not answering questions interviewers give him
John is genuinely hilarious 🤣
His blazer = Portal to another dimension!!
love this guy.
32:00 He loves video games 😁
Great interview awesome. Shape on!!!!
I love they live and big trouble in little China
John Carpenter and Alan Moore are my two heroes I wish the two of them would work on a project before they're both gone.
That’s epic I’m a big fan of both and never considered that haha
33:31 His reaction to the guy saying he had advice for him was hilarious. Also, you'd think in an age when it's easier to do a little research than ever before, that the guy asking the question would know that a. that's not how financing a film works and b. there have been comic spinoffs of some of Carpenter's stories already.
What a wacko
Seriously, the guy has said over and over again that the studios own the rights to basically everything he's made. That's the case for just about every film maker unless you're a major producer too. Even if that wasn't the case its not like comic sales on movies from the 80s are going to make much money. I mean shit do people even read comics anymore?
Dude was a straight up Karen lol
“It’s bullshit!” Lmao 😂😂😂
HERO!
Jesus, his blazer is glaring.
Such a man
I like your shape shifting jacket.
Dude, the true message from Jack Burton is that now matter how insignificant or big of a screw up someone is, they can still be the most important piece of something... think of what would have happened if old jack burton never existed!!! 👍😎👍
I wish he would do another movie
I see a lot of these, can you guy start asking questions other than the same old shit? Like the questions aren’t even that interesting if your a fan of carpenter, do much to show up, than you should be able to come up with something original lol
world renowned film director wears jacket thats not camera friendly lol
"Actors are unique people". I disagree.
Ugh - the word 'Mainstream'.
The Thing prequel is awful. Terrible CGI and they added nothing to the story it's essentially a remake and a poor one at that.
